Forgot to add - EDD 28th Dec..... Everyone is convinced Bubs will make an appearance on Xmas day obviously!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 12/10/2014 18:55

Hi fraggle! You're due the day after me (the day before my own birthday!) Grin sorry to hear about your sickness

peace I know I shouldn't laugh but your story about vomiting in the bag did give me the giggles - mostly because I had a similar experience on then tube the week before last! Got to the top of the escalator and had to vomit in the carrier bag I was carrying.......the only problem was it contained my lunch and also had some holes in it.....the was some strategic bag holding so it didn't dribble out of them Blush

Hi fraggle and mrsH!
Had a surprise at work today, theres a virus spreading throughout the home and the treatment can be dangerous for pregnant women, so ive been sent home until a week tomorrow as a safety measure!
Im going to use the whole week to continue nesting-my excuse for buying baby clothes!!
Hope everyone has had a nice weekend

mrsHawk1ns · 12/10/2014 19:18

Hi Lucy, Hi Fraggle! Pooh hope you haven't caught it already and can enjoy lots of baby shopping! Fraggle I had severe HG in my 1st PG so can sympathise with you, hope you are feeling better now Smile

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 12/10/2014 21:06

I phoned triage because I started getting crampy but they said take paracetamol and keep an eye on movements, which is what I was doing anyway, so I'm happy.
Feel like such a drama queen, though Hmm

My mum was telling me about when she fell into a window display in a shop when she was pregnant and knocked the mannequins down like dominoes GrinGrinGrin

Hi newbies! :)

I also have a moses basket, a cot and a box full of clothes n stuff. All waiting to be washed but it keeps raining.

Lucy...how nice to get an unexpected week off! Nesting ahoy!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 12/10/2014 23:14

It's a thimble wee night :(

OP posts:
CatFaceCrayola · 13/10/2014 00:51

Ive had a thimble wee day. And now a night of heartburn it would seem

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 13/10/2014 04:15

Def thimble wee night. And fizzy hands night...Angry

LotsaTuddles · 13/10/2014 12:55

I had a thimble wee night too. Even DH looked at me like this Hmm when he was waiting for the toilet and I did the tiniest wee possible.

Sorry peace, my flu jab arm was bruised too, whooping cough arm felt worse but couldn't see anything there.

Aaah having toothache problems again, even after dentist cut the top of my gum off to see if it would help - it hasn't, so looks like I have to wait until 7th January when I've got my next appointment and will hopefully have the magic xray that can get me referred to have it taken out Sad

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 13/10/2014 13:00

Ooh Lotsa that's so interesting that they both give the same reaction! Thank you for reporting back.

Hi ladies, after a few months of seeking reassurance from mumsnet I have finally discovered antenatal clubs exist- ooops! Please can I join for the last leg of the journey? EDD for baby number one is 3/12, the little bear is proving to be cheeky already and I'm feeling veeeeeery under prepared!

How is everyone this miserable Monday?! :))

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 13/10/2014 13:13

Hi Azizi! Lots of new faces on the thread this month; I was worried it would tail off when FB got going.

OP posts:
Lucy90 · 13/10/2014 13:30

Welcome aziz!
Peace i still havent joined the fbook group what should i search for?

AziziRose · 13/10/2014 13:42

Thanks ladies! Wait... There's a FB group too? So far behind with all of this haha...

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 13/10/2014 13:49

I don't use FB, hence my constant presence here! Someone will open it up at a certain time so that you can find it and join before it's closed back down.

It's very secret squirrel, or so I'm led to believe Wink

Okay thanks peace!

AziziRose · 13/10/2014 15:29

Thanks Peace, very complicated!

Anyone else's uterus practising excessively - braxton hicks have really stepped up since Friday! I hope that means I'll be super toned and labour will be quicker... I do feel sorry for the bear, getting squished so often!

LotsaTuddles · 13/10/2014 15:31

Not quite the same peace, but similar, flu looked worse but whooping cough hurt hurt more.

Pretty sure DS is coming down with a cold or something, he's been very wingey and clingy today. Unfortunately, whenever he's snuggled up for a cuddle the baby has had a party

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 13/10/2014 15:35

Ah I meant the same sort of reaction in different people. My flu arm looked far worse, but WC was so painful!

OP posts:
LotsaTuddles · 13/10/2014 15:38

Sorry bit dim. Yeah same reaction then Grin

AziziRose · 13/10/2014 15:44

I went for the same arm, figured id be more useful packing up our house with one good arm but wow did my injection arm hurt haha!

Sometimes they do flu as an intradermal, you tend to get more of a localised reaction in the skin.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 13/10/2014 16:08

Ah I wonder if that's why it's less painful, as it's not going into muscle?
