BHLS they told me at 20 week scan my placenta was anterior! Maybe because it wasn't low they didn't feel the need to make a note of yours :/ I still feel LOADS at the top front though.

It is weird so many of us signed off together! I slept on and off until 2:30pm today Shock

Glad to hear the antenatal classes are fun, and that DPs are enjoying them too! I'm trying to persuade DH to go to the new dads class at the hospital - it's men only, so he's a bit intimidated I think, not being much of a blokey bloke himself!

Ive been struck down by a cold :( i think its after the flu jab i had!
The nursery is all painted, just waiting for the carpet and furniture to be delivered next week and its finished!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 07/10/2014 19:18

Lucy the flu jab can't give you a cold; it's coincidental that you caught one after having the jab. Sorry you're poorly though :(

Feeling less rubbish about being signed off now that there's a gang of us :)

Nursery painting is finished. Need to get stuff moved in now.

not sure what is going on with my antenatal classes. Was booked on to some at a surestart centre. Pretty sure they were in October but booked months ago and can't remember. I'm assuming they'll send me a reminder. Not sure if I'm arsed enough to go ringing them and trying to find out though.

I have also been struck down with a cold. Proper snotty!

Peace your manager is a bitch.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 07/10/2014 20:24

Monkey I've been singing the South Park "Kyle's Mom's A Bitch" song for two days to get it all off my chest Wink

Jealous of all you people who have already finished work! I have ages to go- planning on finishing 2 weeks before the baby comes (planned section so should be a week before due date of 13th dec). But I only work 3 days a week so not too bad.

Does anyone suffer from carpal tunnel syndrome? Need some advice please! I've had a sore right wrist for the past few week but not sure if it is CTS as not had any numbness or tingling, just pain where the base of my thumb meets my wrist, especially when bending my thumb. It randomly appeared over night so wasn't caused by hitting/straining/bashing it (as far as I know). I never had CTS last pregnancy so no idea if this is what it is, but was surprised when I googled it as apparently more than 50% pregnant women suffer from it! Do you think a tubi grip bandage would help?

Went to mothercare expectant parent event tonight. For the first time the 10% was even off Bugaboo so ordered my Buffalo, car seat and isofix base. Was going to order anyway even if the discount wasn't on Bugaboo so was delighted to get extra discount. As usual though something went wrong and took 45 mins to process the order, so was knackered by the time I got home!

I think all their events are on round the country this week so if you were thinking of going it's worth it.

LotsaTuddles · 07/10/2014 22:23

I know, I still have to pee about 50 million times a day too, but I'm just so thirsty it's unreal.

I'm not doing antenatal classes because I didn't last time because of work so I just decided not to this time either

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 07/10/2014 23:21

As far as Christmas presents are concerned, WIBU to say I'm giving DH a child for Christmas and leave it at that? Should I get him some chocolate too?

OP posts:
Taura · 08/10/2014 04:41

Nothing wrong with chocolate Peace, especially if it's shareable. Sounds like a great idea to me!

I can't sleeeeeep. All through the day I can hardly keep my eyes open, so why, when it's dark and I'm in my bed, can't I sleep?

That's genius peace. May have to try that one on DH Grin

I'm like that too Taura, I have no reason to be up now, DS is still snoring his little had off and I'm up and sorting washing

rebelfor · 08/10/2014 12:03

Hi all! I did request to join on the last thread which was almost full but can't seem to find it? Do I add my stats myself?

Is anyone else worried about the size of their bump? I'm 28+3 and I am fretting because my bump seems tiny (although I am feeling lots of movement).

I don't see the midwife until next week.

LotsaTuddles · 08/10/2014 12:28

Hi rebel!

Yeah, just add yourself I think.

I'm 28+5 and do have days where I feel like I'm really small, but then others where I feel huge, think it just depends on how baby's sitting. If you're worried mention it to mw though

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 08/10/2014 12:29

Yeah add yourself to the stats.
My bump would be small if I wasn't already such a fatty.

Hi rebel
Im 29+2 and my bump seems huge one day then tiny the next!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 08/10/2014 14:48

Having said that, I look like I've swallowed a bowling ball today!

OP posts:
BigHairyLeggedSpider · 08/10/2014 15:52

mine inflates and deflates depending on where the baby is... its odd!!!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 08/10/2014 17:49

Went for my flu jab and asked the nurse about how to arrange whooping cough vaccine as well. There wasn't anything on my notes about being pregnant, haha, so had to explain why I wanted one! But she was very nice and gave it to me today, which was ace! Although double owies. She said she does the baby clinic too so would see me again in February! That made things feel quite real!

Today has been Thimble Wee Day, so annoying!

Lucy90 · 08/10/2014 21:03

Just home from mothercare parenting event, got a few good bargains!
Also listened to a talk by the red cross about baby first aid so signed up for the course! Also listened to a talk by breast feeding specialists and got loads of good advice.
Off to bed now absolutely knackered

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 08/10/2014 22:16

I'm shattered too! Wondering how I got through eight hours at work... I haven't got ANY tummy pains now, when I have them all day long when I'm at work, and can barely get up the stairs to bed when I get home. Goes to show.

CatFaceCrayola · 09/10/2014 10:19

Another rubbish nights sleep.

This morning it's feeling really very real! In 8-10 weeks (or maybe even sooner!) I will have a baby, a daughter, an actual child. I will be someones mum!! An actual mum! Holy Cow!!

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 09/10/2014 12:25

With an actual baby and everything that we have to look after and be responsible for and everything... argh. For me that's in 6 weeks 4 days plus labour time.

Labour.... well that became real at Antenatal class, and when they gave me a date for induction...

And Breathe....
