Just Shagging Grads thread No.13 for upduffed viroids!

Nessalina · 06/10/2014 07:46

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 13th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed! Grin

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 29th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy! Grin

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids! Smile

Haha cookie great list for the hospital bag! My handbag... Arf. If that happened here at Minions gaffe the baby and I would have:
Half a dozen tesco receipts
Half a dozen gin gin sweets
A whole bottle of gaviacon
An umbrella
Millions of pens
My diary
My show me, tell me questions for driving lesson
Mobile
And a portable pen drive!
Looks like I'm set, haha.

I wonder what's in a macd's that makes a woman upduffed powerless towards it's advances. I just can't get enough of the double sausage egg mcmuffin breakfast.
It's so dirty and filthy, but I loves it!

31 weeks midwife app here today... No scan (boooo) so I'm jealous of yours ness! Mr minion can't make this one, for the first time ever so I'm going to have to venture out in this gash weather and hobble down slowly. My groin is getting more and more painful as the days tick on... Is this spd anyone know?

RPopz · 07/10/2014 08:48

Haha! Handbag. Mine would be: phone, purse, umberella, a bazillion pens, receipts and chocolate bar wrappers Blush, lip balm, mini hairbrush and poop bags.... (could come in handy I guess! Hmm) I'm all set!!

Good luck with scans and apps today Smile

I'm still snotty... waaahh Sad

RPopz · 07/10/2014 08:49

Cookie that child looks more like a banana!! Grin

Pisghetti · 07/10/2014 08:51

Hmm in my handbag I have my passport, chequebook (retro!), chopsticks, a toothbrush, some euros and a mud mask sachet - well I could look good, smell minty fresh and bribe my way to an airport, eating noodles along the way. Probably just as well I'm not in the early-birth-danger-zone yet.

Pisghetti · 07/10/2014 08:52

It's a banana costume Popz Grin

Nessalina · 07/10/2014 09:35

Ha! If you thought child 2 didn't look much like a pumpkin, what did you think of the one dressed like a pod of peas?! Grin

Currently rocking a smaller handbag than usual, so not quite ready for anything, need to upgrade for this afternoon just in case!! wibble
My ickle handbag:
Tissues
Hairbrush
Lip balm
Rennies
Hair clips
Paracetamol
Headphones
Credit & debit card
Driving licence

Still not to my knowledge had a Braxton Hicks contraction... Is that not a bit weird by 36 weeks?! Blush
Can I just not tell?

OP posts:
Pisghetti · 07/10/2014 09:40

Didn't notice having them at all in my first pregnancy Ness

gaggiagirl · 07/10/2014 09:45

Huge congrats to fresh and before lovely to see you here!

JuniDD · 07/10/2014 09:57

Morning, my handbag (which is a rucksack) seems to be full of lipsalve and spare knickers...!

I'm not sure what MrJ was doing last night...I was pretty tired too mind. Being generally annoying and slow and whiny about going to NCT. I had an awesome breastfeeding dream after the class though. I think I also had my first night of false labour so that was fun...

I'm having a lunchtime Frozen party with my friend & her little girl today so better get on. The Bednest is set up in the middle of the living room which is not gonna work!

Minion · 07/10/2014 10:11

ness, I was thinking the same thing last night! how everyone says 'wait till the braxton hicks start' (I call them the Toni braxtons). And was muttering to the boy how it's weird I haven't had one or some as apparently they start around week 20 or something,
Then lo and behold a tightening woke me up last night. Just one though but enough to make me 'ooh'.
Not sure if I dreamt it or not tho.

littleluna89 · 07/10/2014 10:24

juniDD are you doing that as a face to face class or through books / CD's? I can't convince DH of the worth of the classes, especially as they're £180-£280 here so I've been looking a cheap online courses and books...

littleluna89 · 07/10/2014 10:47

Hah my handbag mostly consists of receipts, chewing gum and loose change, purse keys and phone always get dumped in before leaving the house though. Perhaps I should start thinking about packing a more useful bag :/

I got Braxton hicks last time, they were nothing like labour, though I think that was due to labour being completely out of my control (yay for missing the last three antenatal classes)

Nessalina · 07/10/2014 10:53

Luna - we've been doing NCT and have found it very useful Smile 8 classes, 2hrs a week.
Lots of good info about birth and all the choices available, and we're just moving on to talking about looking after an actual baby Grin apparently they cry. A lot! Plus it's nice to natter with other local first time mums!

Hi gaggia, great to see you too! And hi to everyone else as well, it's great to be here. :)

Handbags and Braxton Hicks, what a great way to start the day!

I rock the ginormous "mummy" tote bag these days, everything from wipes to a tiny pair of spare knickers for DD, miniature hair brush and multiple hair ties for both of us, aqueous cream, a tiny drawing pad and a couple of pencils for emergency drawing activities. Along with the more normal phones, iPad, make-up, umbrella, sunglasses, purse, oyster card, lip balm, pens, etc. I usually "de-mummy" my bag on Monday mornings but obviously forgot to yesterday!

Never had Braxton Hicks at all with DD, hoping to avoid it again.

juni and furry that is just EVIL, I love it! I think mildly homicidal thoughts towards He Who Got You Into This Predicament are perfectly justified.

NCT is fantastic. We did the intensive - 2 Saturdays, 10-5 or something like that, with a Tuesday night bfeeding seminar that DH was very reluctant to go to but actually ended up finding very helpful. Definitely recommend it!

FurryScoob · 07/10/2014 11:24

DP snores very loud every nite, electrocuting his nuts is quite mild compared to some things I've threatened to do!

cookie I can't link to pumpkin costume, it's in a small shop in town that isn't on the Internet but if I can't buy 1 this year I might have to get 1 next year Grin

ness I'm a few days behind you & not felt braxton hicks yet, only had mild period type pain & I think that's coz I've gone too much. I don't mind missing out on them!

Im off for a whooping cough vaccine, makes a change for them to put something in rather than taking it out.

freshstart4us · 07/10/2014 11:42

Ooh Furry a snorer.... Ex decades ago was one of those, had to kick him to the curb. Your's is lucky he's still in the game. Wink

Glad to hear you're getting the whooping cough vaccine, I read about it only yesterday for the first time. Was it offered or did you have to ask?

ZylaB · 07/10/2014 12:05

cookie good luck for appointment today, and furry hope your arm doesn't ache too much! I've got flu jab on mon :/

My DH snores really loudly, but stay away 2 nights a week to cut down on his commute, the other nights I've got him so well trained that I just have to tap him and he virtually sleep walks to the spare room. Mind you, if I hug him he automatically gets up to leave lol!!

My bag is stuffed full of sweets and biscuits in case I have low sugars when I'm out Grin

ZylaB · 07/10/2014 12:07

We're booked for the 2 day NCT class thingy in January, DH couldn't make it home from work in time for the evening ones, so we're doing sat ones. Glad to hear good reviews!

freshstart4us · 07/10/2014 12:41

Zyla we were the same, evenings were an impossible ask. The best thing was that in the early weeks after we all had our DCs, we had a gaggle of 8 women to hang out in Starbucks/Neros with who didn't mind at all when we dozed off mid-conversation or accidentally squirted breastmilk across the room, with whom we could talk weird postnatal body stuff and coo over each other's bubbas, all going through the same thing. We met once or more a week without fail for the first year, until we all went back to work. Much more sporadic after that, a couple have now moved out of the area and most have or are cooking #2, but even last week one of my NCT girls brought her DS over to play with my DD, and it is so cute that they have literally known each other since birth.

laurenamium · 07/10/2014 12:47

Wow there's lots of chat today I can't keep up Grin

I never got any Braxton hicks with DD either, feel like I've missed out!

My handbag has keys, purse, baby wipes, a furry koala handbag and lots of sand in at the minute! Why can you never get all of the sand out??

I'm having a nightmare with my car, buying a Renault was the biggest mistake of my life Confused

cookielove · 07/10/2014 12:52

zyla erm I don't think I have an appointment today! Or have I forgotten? ?

ZylaB · 07/10/2014 13:03

Sorry! Meant minion Blush

ZylaB · 07/10/2014 13:03

Oh and saw your pic on js thread cookie he's gorgeous!

ZylaB · 07/10/2014 13:04
