Just Shagging Grads thread No.13 for upduffed viroids!

Nessalina · 06/10/2014 07:46

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 13th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed! Grin

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 29th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy! Grin

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids! Smile

That is wonderful news lauren, such a huge relief! Not great of course that you're still bleeding but apparently blood volume increases 50% in pregnancy for the exact purpose of having a lot to spare, which may be why docs can seem a bit laid back about volume of blood that we would normally be alarmed about. Hoping you still have your feet very much up!

freshstart4us · 08/10/2014 11:13

ness one of my NCT girls turned a breech with exercises and avoided a C section, it is very do-able.

RPopz · 08/10/2014 11:14

Great news Lauren Grin What a relief.

Difficult one Juni ... I don't think asking to check is ott if you explain it like you did to us Smile x

ZylaB · 08/10/2014 11:20

lauren that's fab news, so pleased to hear it.

juni if it were me I'd ask, otherwise I'd keep worrying they were unhappy but too polite to mention it, you explained it perfectly on here, can you just say that to them?

ness keep spinning! Grin

I'm off to Costa to see if they've got any lemon cake for lunch!

freshstart4us · 08/10/2014 11:23

Gosh ness sorry, that was a bit brusque! Very do-able in that it can be successful, although it is without question physically tough. Sorry if I sounded bossy, it wasn't mean that way at all!!

gaggiagirl · 08/10/2014 11:24

lauren hurray! So glad everything is well.

ness my dsis managed to turn her breech baby by crawling every where for weeks. Its totes do-able. Shall we chip in and get you some hand and knee dusters so you can do your floors at the same time? .

juni is there anyway you can test the waters first? Maybe a casual mention? I would think he would be very flattered unless you're 'stealing' their name for potential dc.

freshstart4us · 08/10/2014 11:27

Sorry am feeling a bit tetchy today, have not been able to shake a really bad cough for several weeks and now, just when I have my shiny new BFP, GP has prescribed antibiotics which I hate the thought of taking even though she assures me it is safe and recommends it given the duration of the cough. Have asked Dr Google and it seems to be quite safe, but still can't get past the horrible fear that taking medication might hurt my poppy seed. So am grumpy/tetchy/worried and still a little bit unwell.

freshstart4us · 08/10/2014 11:29

Plus I've been into 2 Boots to fill the script without success (first one bitchy rude pharmacist, second one they didn't have it!) and am wondering if it's a sign and I just need to NOT take the damn pills. Angry

Nessalina · 08/10/2014 11:46

Don't worry too much fresh, I've had antibiotics this pregnancy and felt a bit weird about it, but I was assured by GP and two pharmacists I quizzed Blush that there's no risk, and it's definitely better for baby that you're fit & well!
You weren't brusque re: breech - I need to hear that it can be done!! Gaggia - I've heard that crawling is good Grin Going to have a go round the living room in a bit! Apparently there's a good chance of him deciding to turn before B-day, only 4% of sprogs are still breech at the end of pregnancy be just my luck to have an awkward one
Definitely decided against the ECV, I just haven't heard anything good about it, and although the hospital support it, vaginal breech birth is just the type of birth that I've been scared of (no active birth, probably induction, constant monitoring, very likely forceps delivery). So I think we'll book a date with the consultant for ELCS and cross everything that he turns on his own before then!

Advice please viroids, (TMI alert)

every time we DTD when I wipe there is red blood followed by brown discharge. No pain and it doesn't last for long. Im wondering if we should stop shagging? Its definitely the shagging that's causing it.

Pisghetti · 08/10/2014 12:37

Great news Lauren!

Good luck Ness I have this image of you strapping cat dusters to your knees now Smile I varnished the entire floor downstairs in the fortnight I was waiting for DS to turn up after my due date. He wasn't breech and it didn't put me into labour but he was in a perfect birthing position!

Difficult Juni I'd ask but maybe after the birth as you may have a girl?

Does anyway find the first few weeks of the second trimester a bit.... dull? I don't feel very pregnant albeit I look very pregnant movements are no more than teeny flutters that you can't help thinking could be something else, weeks to go until the next scan..... Don't get me wrong I don't miss the nervousness and secrecy of the first trimester but things are just a bit... slow right now. I suppose I should be glad that nothing interesting is happening as that means all is well!

wilmabedrock · 08/10/2014 12:51

Definitely appreciate the calm Pis.

Juni, If the name is something fairly normal/popular, I wouldn't worry too much about it. I really can't see a guy being annoyed about something like that.

Gaggia, I would actually stop shagging and get a doctor's opinion.

freshstart4us · 08/10/2014 13:06

Gaggia I second wilma's advice. You might be disturbing your mucous plug or something like that, so step awaaaayyyy from the penis girl! (This is the "no shagging" thread after all. ;) )

Nessalina · 08/10/2014 13:10

Yes, I'd stop gaggia. It's pretty normal to bleed a bit after shagging, but not sure every time is quite right... I'd call 111 or arrange a phone appt with your GP. They'll probably recommend cooling it until the 2nd tri at least. It's not worth the risk IMHO!

OP posts:
laurenamium · 08/10/2014 13:26

Yes gaggia stop shagging Grin I had spotting after intercourse earlier on and the GP said no shagging for 3 weeks until I had a scan to check everything was okay!

Could you take the hands and knees thing to your advantage ness and maybe do some housework or something while you're down there? Skirting boards or floor scrubbing? Grin Mind you if it was me I would be watching tv instead lazy

I'm just back from running errands and its totally wiped me out. I'm still bleeding quite a lot. Just want some energy back!

gaggiagirl · 08/10/2014 13:42

Thanks viroids! Ill leave the penis alone for a bit. I haven't got a booking in appointment yet and when I was given my pregnancy pack at the GPs they didn't give a number for the midwife in case something went wrong.
Just feel a bit in limbo especially since the Drs receptionist told me not to expect mw contact til i was 8-10 weeks.
I would call the surgery but the receptionist is scary.

laurenamium · 08/10/2014 14:04

I hadn't been booked in when I ha mine gaggia I rang the surgery and asked for a GP or midwife call back. And someone rang me back that day Smile

wilmabedrock · 08/10/2014 14:32

Screw the receptionist and call the surgery I say. I think medical receptionists are taught to be bitches in their training Grin .

JuniDD · 08/10/2014 14:45

hi, thanks for your thoughts on The Name Smile. I don't see them very often so we generally chat by text message. We don't really talk much about me, more about what's going on with them so a bit awkward to bring up that way. I'll wait to see if Mini-Juni is a girl (no need to stir the waters unnecessarily) and if it's a boy, well, maybe he'll look more like a Balonz. Grin (you must read that thread if you haven't!)

yes gaggia, this is the no-shagging thread, keep those knees together

Know what you mean about the start of the 2nd tri pis, but doing spots of shopping here & there helped keep the excitement going!

Have you felt any ripples/big movements ness? Hope you're not too knackered from all the exercises. I should really lean over my ball for an hour now but my feet are massive so going UP!

Pisghetti · 08/10/2014 14:56

Thing is Juni with a classic, traditional name such as Balonz, you run the risk of having five in a class.

Pisghetti · 08/10/2014 14:58

P.s. the reply that nearly made me wet my pants was the suggestion that his name is actually Barry and she just misheard it the first time, he was too polite to correct her and it's just turned into some hellish charade since then esp if she names the kid after him!

wilmabedrock · 08/10/2014 14:58

Hahahaha Pis. I love the baby names threads!

laurenamium · 08/10/2014 15:43

Oh I just read that balonz thread! Made me belly laugh, by the end of it though I was warming to the name balonz! GrinGrin

freshstart4us · 08/10/2014 15:47

Juni I agree, no need to raise it now, wait until after your bub is born, he may look like a Geoffrey Archibald... Gotta go find the Balonz thread now! :)

Nessalina · 08/10/2014 15:56

There's been some good churnings, but nothing that's felt like a big turn! You never know though... I'm going to try hard to stop worrying about it now. If he wants to turn he will, and if he doesn't I'm sure there's a good reason for it.
We've just had our first health visitor visit! She seems very nice. They don't half ask a lot of weird questions - they really must see some VERY dysfunctional families Confused
