3 try not to worry, movement can be less frequent till 20+ weeks or seem less frequent because we don't feel them as strong! Know it's worrying tho

fishfingerSarnies · 26/10/2014 00:37

My little run around buggy broke today so my lovely mum has lent me the money to buy my new buggy! Should be here next week.
I'm going to get other family members to buy the second seat at baby carry cot to make it into a double when the time comes.
Excited!

And please try not to worry about movement 3 baby is still quite little so if it's moved into a different position for a while you might not feel it. I don't think they tell you to think about monitoring movements untill much later on. It's hard not to worry o know.

Forgive me, I get lost on threads, is this your first baby 3?

M27J5M · 26/10/2014 10:31

Hows everyone feeling today? All good I hope? I'm planning a lazy saying the house, the weathers horrid here, a hot bath and chill out before the Mr is back from his mates stag do, God knows what kinda state he's gonna be in! Already told me earlier that he's totally done in and can't wait to get home lol

nothinglikeithought · 26/10/2014 11:13

I was feeling lots of movement from week 18ish I guess, like something was turning inside me but that has stopped. Now I think I'm starting to feel faint bubbles or flutters. Nothing consistent though! This is my first baby and I am 20weeks now. Had scan this week and all is fine so not going to worry for the next 20 minutes anyway

M27J5M · 26/10/2014 11:33

Another few weeks before you'll start feeling it consistenly, with my 1st preg I think I was 23-25 weeks before I felt consistent movement, feeling it a lot sooner this time

m33r · 26/10/2014 14:58

I felt definitive kicks at 18+1 and have felt them since though not always as strongly and not hugely consistently. Like others, thinking at this stage I shouldn't be worrying!?? 20 week scan on Wednesday - roll on Wednesday!

junkfoodaddict · 26/10/2014 18:02

Last three days I have had a LOT of movement - twists, turns, flips, kicks and prods. Also noticed bulges where the little tike likes to curl in a ball and push up against my tummy.

Rainbow555 · 26/10/2014 19:25

Ordered the baby jogger mini gt yesterday! Went to see it for real and push around and just loved it even more :) so thanks for the tips and suggestions of youtube. A well-researched decision!

Things have gone quieter in my belly too it is disconcerting despite knowing the movements are not meant to feel regular yet...

3isthemajicnumber · 26/10/2014 21:36

Blueberry no this will be dc3! Why is every pregnancy so different.

SurfsUp1 · 26/10/2014 23:39

I lay awake for ages last night wondering why Surfette had gone so quiet. Glad I'm not the only one. I think she's switched from lying horizontally into a more vertical position and there might be more room? Can't feel the bum-lump any more. She is tickling my bladder though - here we go again!

What colour did you go for Rainbow? Are you getting a bassinet?
I can''t WAIT for mine to arrive. It is slightly disturbing how much the pram purchase has elevated my excitement levels surrounding this pregnancy. I'm so freaking shallow!

We've got a week of 30+ degree days predicted in Sydney this week. Spring has sprung and my new maternity cossie got it's christening yesterday. The water was absolutely f'ing freezing! I actually got stomach cramps! There's something cruel about the way Sydney's sea temps drop as the air temps rise.

We did a furniture rearrangement over the weekend to make space for a cot and an au pair. Just in case you're wondering, pregnant piano removals are a bad idea. Duh!

I'm embarking on a healthy eating regime this week. I feel like I've really been slack the last month or so and I'm feeling a bit bleugh. Green smoothies? I keep intending to get blending, but it never appeals in the morning and I seem to end up with a lot of rotten spinach in the fridge. Unfortunately I don't think it is the thought that counts in this instance.

lotsoftoast · 27/10/2014 05:55

Morning all. Another stupidly early wake up from ds this morning - 4.15.....I hate time changes! Squidge had me up at 3.15 so I'm flipping knackered!

Morning all,

Hope everyone is well. I'll go back and catch up in a minute, just wanted to share my excitement at being back after two weeks driving round the west coast of the US. Bump did well on its travels, not sure if I ate too many burgers of it has just doubled in size by itself but I feel huge now. Feeling a bit more movement now but still not constant at 23 weeks today. Wow, how did I get that far!

Right, off to have a catch up with you all.

BlueberryWafer · 27/10/2014 09:35

Morning all Smile hope everyone had a good nights sleep! Touch wood my hyperemesis seems to be settling down a bit - I'm hoping it's eased off as it never eased at all in my last pregnancy!

I've started feeling more kicks now rather than just flutters (I'll be 20 weeks on Wed). It surprised me a bit as I've got an anterior placenta again and a tilted womb.

For those of you not feeling much, I didn't feel anything til about 24 weeks with ds so I wouldn't worry!

Went to a nearly new sale yesterday and bought loads of clothes for ds, only spent £14 though I was rather pleased! They're all in amazing condition and from Next, M&S etc - I love nearly new sales! Bought a packet of neutral vests for bump as I felt bad getting everything for ds and nothing for the baby (yes I'm silly I know Grin). Off to get ds feet measured as I think his shoes are a little on the small side now.

persepolis123 · 27/10/2014 10:16

blueberry I know what you mean about the guilt. I bought DS some new long sleeve tshirts a few days ago and felt bad that I hadn’t got the baby anything so went back and got some vests and little hats. DS has been pulling them out of the bag whenever we have any visitors and telling them they are for the baby.

surf I’ve been terrible with food lately too. I’ve eaten so much crap and I was a bit overweight to start with so need to try not to put on too much. Really must rein it in now.

Envious of all the new pushchair talk. I will have to stick with the one I bought for DS. There’s nothing wrong with it so I don’t think I will get away with buying a new one sadly.

20 weeks tomorrow and scan on Wednesday. Can’t believe how quick it has come round and that I’m half way already. With regards to movement – I have only started feeling little kicks in the last few days. I think it’s still quite early for that kind of thing though so nothing to worry about if you aren’t feeling anything yet. I read somewhere that up to 24 weeks is completely normal.

Pisghetti · 27/10/2014 10:19

Morning ladies,

I've done a rubbish job of keeping up with this thread but have been reading regularly. I'm exactly halfway today and I have my scan tomorrow. I think we will be finding out what we're having provided baby is not too bashful to let on. So far I only have a Moses basket (bought because it was too much of a bargain to let pass) and some nappies so looking forward to starting to shop/prepare in earnest!

I had been feeling plenty of wriggles but all has been quiet the past few days. I think baby might have gone into hibernation. Is anyone else cold all the time? I'm a freezer at the best of times but even DS who usually sticks up for me when I complain about the temperature has started saying I'm weird Confused

persepolis123 · 27/10/2014 10:25

Oh I know what I meant to ask. Does anybody else’s bump feel really heavy all of a sudden? I have noticed a difference in the last couple of days. Trying to work out if it is baby growing and putting on weight or all the food I have been eating!

coastergirl · 27/10/2014 10:38

Even though I know it's nothing to worry about, it's driving me crazy that I'm not really feeling baby move yet. I'm 19+2. I just think it might seem more real once I can feel him/her. It still feels so surreal, partly I think because I'm having such a hard time with anxiety and antenatal depression, it'd be lovely to have something so positive as feeling baby move.

SurfsUp1 · 27/10/2014 10:46

Peresepolis my bump feels heavy sometimes but not all the time. Odd!!

Ellizardo · 27/10/2014 10:51

Persepolis - I'm same as Surf. Almost don't feel pregnant this morning but yesterday felt like a ferry

Pisghetti · 27/10/2014 11:10

Yes the weight seems to shift. I could barely get off the sofa a few days ago and performed a tidy impression of a walrus with my graceful movement. Normally I'm quite sprightly.

Butterpuff · 27/10/2014 11:18

Yep, mine feels heavy too sometimes, like this morning after the mile and a half walk to work.

coaster I didn't feel anything till around 22 weeks if that makes you feel any better. I found out I have anterior placenta at the 20w scan which doesn't help, but I know what you mean I couldn't wait to feel something. But it does happen eventually.

M27J5M · 27/10/2014 11:35

Yeo heavy bump here too but not all of the time

oliveobsessed · 27/10/2014 13:18

Hi time is flying cant believe am 20+4 today.

I am having a pram meltdown can anyone come up with any suggestions I am likely to go second hand due to the below:

Main uses will be off road, dog walking, at the horses etc
Needs to be suitable for tall people I am 5'11'
Must have a lie flat option
Doesn't matter if it is chunky - big 4x4 and estate
Do not need the car seat option as we are planning on getting the from birth to 4 years option.
