gudgy that is a bargain!! Also googled and very nice! Not an option here though, we have a few but not as many as in the uk I suspect!
Thanks for the heads up re car seat adapters..

SurfsUp1 · 22/10/2014 10:26

NotAQueef I like the Bee, they're cute! I love how tiny they are too - brilliant if you're in an urban area!

NotAQueef · 22/10/2014 10:36

surfs we lived in London when DS was first born so was perfect for getting onto buses etc, not so much of a consideration here in suburbia but I love that I can turn it in a full tight circle with one hand which I do a lot as I have no sense of direction

Lifeisabeach · 22/10/2014 11:34

I love the look of the Baby Jogger and really wish I could justify buying a new pushchair, but I think I'll have to stick with the Quinny I had for DS.

Think I've started feeling movement, yay! The other night I lay in bed with my hands on my lower stomach and could definitely feel little kicks and squirms. My scan is 2 weeks today so not too long to wait now. Feeling more and more tempted to find out the gender, despite being sure until very recently that I wouldn't. Just think it would be great to be able to sort through all the clothes in the loft and get rid of the ones that won't be needed. But at the same time, I loved having a surprise with the other two.

Had some bad news about my mum's health yesterday so feeling very low today :(

muchostinky · 22/10/2014 11:58

To alleviate all your fears (and mine) I spoke to a different midwife and she said that prawns and salmon are fine as long as they are cooked (now I want some smoked salmon of course!). So don't know what the other one was moaning about to be truthful.

She wasn't concerned by my 1lb weight gain at all as I am rather fat anyway, so could do with putting in the smallest amount anyway.

All this pushchair chat is exciting though, I have just got all the fabric bits out of the garage from the Stokke I had with DS. I absolutely loved it and am so happy that they are all okay and can be used again. Will save us a few pennies for sure. Not I am looking at new cotbeds though and Ds's has some bits missing,=.

muchostinky · 22/10/2014 11:59

Sorry about the random = at the end there

persepolis123 · 22/10/2014 12:19

A buggy board is a good idea surf. I imagine DS would think it was great fun.

Sorry to hear that life Sad

I need some advice on work. They are encouraging me to take my full annual leave entitlement before going on mat leave. However, I’m pretty sure I won’t be returning so don’t want to be in the position of owing them money if I have taken too much holiday. I wanted to put off telling them until I was 100% sure. What should I do?

lotsoftoast · 22/10/2014 12:58

Perse, you accrue annual leave while on mat leave so if you take the full year and don't hand in your notice till the v last possible opportunity, you won't owe them any money

I'm hoping to get the citty jogger select as it can be a double and a single very easily.
My dd will be 2.7 when baby is born but living in London we walk every where and have a dog who needs hour long fast walks every day Im going to need a double buggy.
Nearly bought a double buggy that could be used as a single when dd was born. Wish I had.

Jannywannywoohoo · 22/10/2014 14:58

We've been looking at travel systems too... Do we really need the lie flat cot bit then? Or should we just get the car seat and buggy?
We were really liking the icandy peach 3 all of the bits come separately, so just wondering if we could save £185 by not getting the lie flat bit???

pinkandstripey · 22/10/2014 15:13

life hope your mum is ok :(

janny I would say it depends on how you will use your buggy. They only recommend babies to be in a car seat for 2 hours at a go, because they aren't flat. Personally, I hated the cot/bassinet and used it as little as possible! I didn't have a car when ds was tiny (we had a family car, but dp used that for work), I found the cot blocked the shopping basket and it didn't go on and off as easily as the car seat. Literally the only thing I don't like about my vista!

The cot was suitable for overnight sleeping, so it was useful for the probably 2 nights we spent away from home in the first 3 months.

MGFM · 22/10/2014 16:08

I really like the Uppababy vista. It is going to be my one extravagent purchase! Maybe the new model when it comes out in a few months!

littlemissy12345 · 22/10/2014 19:02

I really like the Uppababy too. We've got a Jane from last time but I hated it for the last few months so treating myself to a new (second hand) one.
I've got a little worried - just been to the loo and had an dot of brown mucus. Nothing since. Why can't it be easy!

littlemissy12345 · 22/10/2014 19:04

Oh and I'm 18 weeks so 2 weeks until scan. Think I'll have a quiet lie down and see if I can feel any movements! I've had quite a lot recently.

Rainbow555 · 22/10/2014 19:14

Oh I like the vista! Now heading to google to see if I can get one here, don't think I can as not heard of that one before.

littlemiss good idea to rest! no real advice but hope all is ok

life sorry to hear about your mum

my brother is very poorly with depression at the moment and it is very hard living so far away! sadly it is taking it's toll on my mum and other family members. Such a terrible illness.

Hope it's nothing littlemissy, sure a quiet lie down will do you good, but try not to worry if you don't feel movement because even though you've been having some it will still be little with a lot of space. Try not to worry (easier said than done)

So my husband has taken the job that means he will be away from Jan 4th to 24th March missing baby being born. Feeling ok about it at the moment just happy that he has work. We are having to get a whole new bathroom so that's costing a fortune and we need him to work.

coastergirl · 22/10/2014 20:10

We got our pram really early on, much earlier than intended! There was a Kiddicare closing down near us and we got the Graco Evo (which we were leaning towards anyway), so cheap, it just made total sense to get it there and then. We got the pushchair (which lies flat) and car seat for about £180 altogether. I can't believe the cost of some of them, we've definitely been lucky.

kittenmamma · 22/10/2014 21:04

Littlemissy, take it easy for a bit and call maternity assessment if you're worried.
I had a large amount of red blood after bm the other day and they weren't at all worried, because it trailed off straight afterwards. A few days before that I had a lot of pink mucus after bm also so they don't seem too worried. I'm 14 weeks.

kittenmamma · 22/10/2014 21:54

Aaaand now I've gotten myself all worried.

littlemissy12345 · 22/10/2014 22:49

I haven't had anything else at all so I think I'm ok, bean gave me lots of kicks after sticky toffee pudding and I found a nice strong heartbeat on my doppler (naughty i know) so I'm not too worried. Thank you for your reassurance though x

lotsoftoast · 23/10/2014 06:05

Hope all is ok missy
