Hello ladies, how is everyone this afternoon? I am eagerly awaiting my three little kids returning to school tomorrow so that I can get to work on sorting the house out. I want everything straight in time for Christmas and as I am struggling so much with tiredness this is going to be a tall order!

LadyNovember · 07/09/2014 16:42

DP here is not getting much either haha..so glad to read I'm not the only one! Combination of not fancying it and being petrified of causing a mc (even though I know it's totally safe!)

We're on holiday in cornwall at the moment, it's been lovely so far, so relaxing! Been feeling a bit nauseous though so might find a boots tomorrow and get some travel bands. Bean is getting a nice balanced diet of scones, pasties and ice cream...! Grin

Hope everyone is well xx

RiverRocks · 07/09/2014 17:55

Sounds healthier than me, Lady. There's fruit in your scones, and I bet some peas in the pasties! I'm on chips, bread and the occasional Apple. I keep hoping for a miracle next Sunday when I'll be 12 weeks Grin

Roseylee20 · 07/09/2014 17:57

Hi bitchpeas I'm glad your pregnancy went well. Hopefully mine will be the same! I'm 8 weeks on Wednesday and have done barely anything for the past 2/3 weeks. Feeling poorly, nausea all day long, fatigue, gone off so many foods, and with the sex, I'm right there too! Couldn't think of anything worse at the minute. Although I have been told by the nurse to avoid it until the spotting has completely stopped, as to not aggravate the haematoma. But without that, I would still not feel up to it! x

minipie · 07/09/2014 18:07

afternoon all. no sex here either since BFP - not keen due to feeling crap, no sleep as DD is still waking often and the bleeding I had last time which I'd rather avoid this time.

cinnamon very unfair of him to now say he didn't really want a baby Sad it was a joint decision at the time and he can't backtrack now. Do you think it's just a bit of a sulk about the lack of sex?

ooh, looking at this thread has reminded me to dig out my Doppler and see if I can find anything!

cinnamongreyhound · 07/09/2014 19:11

Congratulations RoseyLee20!

I don't drink chilliplant so not struggling here so can't help at all! I have had friends say try drinking something like sparkling flavoured waters out of a wine glass.

Try not to worry Rustyzilla, as others have said brown spotting is old blood. I spotted quite a bit with ds2 and worked myself up so much before the scan but all was fine.

I get the sweats if I leave it too log to eat Bitchpeas, it's horrible!

Thank you all for your kind words and support. We've had a couple of long chats and he swears it's not really sex just closeness, he feels I'm grumpy and he's worried about touching me or doing the wrong thing so feels a bit distant from me. I've told him again that's in his head and I'm just not quite as cheery as usual due to feeling crap and it's not targeted at him. Tbf I am usually the one who initiates most things bedroom related so he actually has to approach me as I really am not in the mood. Was the same with my other two until nausea went away and then normal activity was resumed.
He definitely is only having this baby for me though, he said he thought that was obvious but admits he didn't say it until now. I think he drank quite a few beers Friday so was more honest but also harsher than he meant. He said he was worried if never be happy without another and so he changed his mind to make me happy. But he said he feels his age and is worried he'll be working until he dies to pay for this one :( we do struggle with money and it's probably not the most sensible decision!
He drove me to my leg of the team race I'm doing in two weeks to recce the route (150 mile round trip) and then wouldn't let me run it as it's horrible windy roads and said there's two of us now and he'd hate anything to happen (will have a car or minibus following me on the day of the race).

Ahh had some pink when I wiped before. That is so not good, why the hell would it be doing that now? Blob was fine on Friday.

Rustyzilla · 07/09/2014 19:39

Hope you're okay lauren - I have been worried all day that every time I go to the loo there will be more, but so far nothing although cramps remain. I hope there will be nothing further for you too. Thanks

I text midwife as I was worried and have heard nothing back. Feel a bit unsupported by Healthcare providers so far, still waiting on booking in appointment at 9+3, I have no idea if the person I text will even actually be my midwife! Hmm

skyra13 · 07/09/2014 20:39

Wanted to say hi to all the April mums! I have been told I'm due on the 7th of April but will find out at my scan! This is my first currently 10 weeks and have no clue what I'm doing half the time or how to look after a baby Grin

littleluna89 · 07/09/2014 21:06

Urgh! This weekend at work has been horrible!

My department has lost a member of staff and another was on holiday, so on Saturday there were two of us with two others each in for 4 hours but they were mostly on tills, so I spent most of my day hunting down staff from other departments to fetch ladders and carry mirrors >.> then I was going to be by myself for the last 2 hours of the shift but was given a bloke from tills who didn't have the first clue how to tidy >.<

Today there were three of us, but I seemed to yoyo across the department all day dealing with issues only noticed at the tills, and my hips have been awful, I feel like someone wrenched my hips apart, walking up and down stairs is surprisingly easy but flat surfaces kill :(

Hubby and I had a blarney this morning, he said he'd not got much laundry done yesterday because he could only do it in the couple of hours that his mum was here, he couldn't look after dd and do laundry then about 10 minutes later he had his sarcastic asshole face on about the fac that I'd not done much laundry in the week... Whilst all alone with dd... Sound familiar? He always seems to have one rule for me and another for himself. He also spent the morning before I left trying to get sex and getting increasingly pissy that I kept telling him no, I feel half inclined to just let him get on with it and then vomit on him, perhaps that will douse the flames for a while?

mswibble · 07/09/2014 21:19

littleluna im guessing you have a washing machine and your poor little hubby isnt having to use a washing board and mangle? You put the clothes in, switch it on, come back later and hang it up. Why on earth could he not manage that?
What is it with the menfolk lately?
Make sure you're not overdoing it at work too, your day sounded exhausting!

Welcome skyra! Im the same, have never changed a nappy, etc. In fact havent really been near a baby in all my 29 years! Absolutely clueless!

AnniaFausta · 07/09/2014 22:07

Well, we told both sets of grandparents-to-be today... they were all delighted, thankfully, although the wrangling over grandparent names has now begun, and I'm waiting in some despair to find out what will be pulled out of various attics 'for the baby'. At least I made it clear that I don't want anything in pink or blue!

We're not going to tell anyone else until the first trimester is over, but at 8w+1, it felt like the right time to let them know what's going on. Not least because mine plan waaaay ahead and we were going to have to start coming up with excuses not to do things before too long.

Lauren82000 · 08/09/2014 06:42

Hmm got some watery brown this morning. That's not good is it? Don't know what to do it's not like they can do anything if it is the worst. Do I ring the doctors or the EPU? When I was there on Friday they said they only scan once a week so I'd have to wait till at least Friday if I wanted another one. Feel sick but not sure if it's just worry or worry n ms. Got to go to work today too it's a really important day.

Sorry you're worried Lauren82000, but try not to it's most likely normal cm with a little bit of old blood, it looks worse because it's mixed with the cm. Give them a call and if they want to see you Friday it's better than nothing.

Was it mswibble asking about wee? Wondering if it's just stronger because you're more dehydrated? I'm really struggling to drink some days and not weeing much.

Lauren I've had lots of brown watery discharge and was told by a midwife that it's really common in early pregnancy and that I shouldn't worry unless it was red blood as heavy as a period and I was passing big clots (she put her thumb and index finger together in a circle to demonstrate 'big clot' size). She also said if it's not accompanied by any pain (cramping) that's a good sign. Before speaking to her at my scan I was so worried it meant something was wrong but she has really reassured me. She said it is often caused by the sac burrowing into the uterine lining. So although it's really scary try not to worry too much Thanks

Lauren82000 · 08/09/2014 08:27

Thanks banana I'm just stressing about it and can't decide of I have a slight ache in the back of my pelvis or not. But it might be the pain in my hip radiating across. I'll keep an eye on it today and might ring the doctors later on. I keep clinging to the fact it was fine on Friday they didn't see any problems on the scan.

BananaToast · 08/09/2014 09:00

I think if you can't decide then it's probably nothing serious - I got the impression they were talking about properly painful cramps.

Roseylee20 · 08/09/2014 09:14

Lauren please try not to worry. I'm currently nearly 8 weeks and went for an early scan on Thursday which I requested (due to previous mc's, and because I'm having light spotting). The spotting varies between brown, dark brown, and a pinky colour and some days it's completely clear. Sorry for TMI. On my scan I saw baby with a strong heartbeat, and she said there was some old blood sitting at the bottom, which came from a small Haematoma which was described to me as a blood blister. I've been told it's harmless and could spot for days, weeks or months. I was told to only go back if I get bright red bleeding with clots. A haematoma usually clears up on it's own. As this wasn't noticed in your scan, I'm sure that they can develop at any time, which is a possibility. But like others have said don't worry and if you feel like you need peace of mind, go to your gp and request a scan. Good luck Thanks

Lauren82000 · 08/09/2014 10:38

Yes banana that's what I thought its nothing like mc cramps even the odd time I got sharp twangy twinges on Saturday had about 3 then none since so just though it was gas. Blush I'm def keeping an eye on it doesn't seem to be much just a spot or two of light brown on my pad but none when I wipe. It's no where near as dark as it was a few weeks ago so maybe it's just one of those things. Might ring the doctor later, dont think I can handle being 7th in the queue if I ring now, I'll be on the phone for half an hour!

HippoPottyMouth · 08/09/2014 10:39

Oooh Oooh! Whoever joked about princess kate being with us on the board.... She is pregnant!
Kate if you are with us, hello Grin [curtsy]

HippoPottyMouth · 08/09/2014 10:42

Sorry, cross post with Lauren there. All the signs are good, you saw a heartbeat the other day, which reduces your miscarriage probability to about 2%, it's brown, no fresh blood, no bad cramps.

I know I think the worst when it happens too, but the chances are very high that all is fine and I hope it all stops very soon for you.

I reckon there's a good chance she's April if she's not yet 12 weeks like they're saying!

I'm with you with the napping squatting, DD just gone down for hers so I'm curled up trying to sleep too. Unfortunately my nausea has got worse over the weekend and I've got a stinking cold so don't fancy my chances.

As others have said, I don't think you have anything to worry about Lauren, but a doctors reassurance always helps

BananaToast · 08/09/2014 11:54

Lauren that sounds exactly like what I've had - mine has now stopped (for how long?) but I've been warned it could continue on and off all throughout the pregnancy, or at least for the first trimester, without anything being wrong at all.

Heard the news about Kate this morning, feel for her with awful sickness!
