nunkie that does sound worrying. Not that you should necessarily panic, but I would go and get checked out to set your mind at rest. The EPU are usually really nice and otherwise you’ll be having to worry until 20 weeks which is a long old time. I don’t think the doc would be able to hear a heartbeat yet, or I’d suggest that.
Lots of folk with renovation plans – I’m getting more excited this time. We’ve emptied out DH’s study and thinking about how to make it into a nice room for DD, so that she can move over there and the new baby can then have her room (which is next door to us). Less likely the new baby will wake her, is the theory. And we didn’t do any decoration for her as we moved here when I was 35 weeks so was too knackered – it has curtains and a bed and magnolia walls and beige carpet etc! I did get some wall stickers about six months ago – birds a bit like you daholster though stickers easier for DIY numpties like me than wallpaper. I think I’m going to go for pink paint plus stickers for her new room – she’s nearly two and I think that age of girl just really likes it. It’ll be the only room in the house that’s not magnolia so it should hopefully make her feel special too. And less likes she’s feeling evicted in honour of the new baby! Though obviously baby will be in with me inititally, I suspect he/she will end up having to go to her room earlier than six months.
lindalove well done you with knitting – so impressed with skills like that. I can make a basic curtain but my scarves get wider and wider when knitting so don’t think a garment would work out well!
riverrocks white is also the colour of mourning in India. Widows usually wear white. And, another random fact, they don’t have pink for girls necessarily. I complemented someone on their daughter and massively offended them as he was a boy (and boys considered to be better than girls).
lauren hope you’re feeling better today and that bean holds on in there.
12 weeks today. Scan on Thursday! We’ve told quite a few people for various reasons (MIL stayed with us for a month – would have been hard to hide it!) so fingers crossed no bad news on scan day (and blood tests etc).
