I was a 10/12 before getting pg, but because of my epic, beyonce and kim kardashian-shaming bum and hips hourglass figure, my waist was really small.

Thanks to a staple diet of chips and bread, my stomach is a lot bigger now than when I was a stone heavier and I have no waist. It just blew up overnight, almost. I am finding it really difficult to find anything to wear that doesn't make me look huge already Sad. I will probably be happier about it when I've told work, so can stop wearing the same two dresses and baggy cardigans, and embrace my bread bump Grin

Also no bump yet, just a bloaty belly at the end of the day which I suppose looks a little like a bump! Will be glad to get a proper one though as it'll all seem a bit more real! I think I'd cry if I didn't show at 25 weeks too LadyNov!

Afternoon everyone. So I've now had the scan and harmony results and all is fine... and I'm having a girl! I can now move to the Sofa of Pragmatic Caution Grin.

Guessing I might be the first here to find out the sex? (it's via the harmony which I had done at 10 weeks and go the results yesterday)

I am actually less fat than last week - I think the bloating is starting to go down along with the nausea. I have a little convex bulge but not really a bump as such. Feel more energetic too, hooray. Hope everyone starts to feel better soon.

Misty it's very common for cervical ectropions/erosions to bleed after sex, in fact that's usually the reason for treatment. I have one but because I don't have any pain or bleeding they're just leaving it alone. I suggest doing your own research with Dr Google rather than necessarily trusting your midwife's opinion.

mswibble · 24/09/2014 16:42

Congratulations minipie! How exciting! Glad everything went well. Oooh, just think of the shopping trips now you know!

Im hoping my energy levels get better soon. We're off on our trip tomorrow and OH doesnt seem to understand that im not able to march around a city all day, squeezing in as many activities as poss, like we I used to. I need a nap in the late afternoon at the very least!

EEE!! Congratulations minipie, let the naming arguments discussions begin Grin

littleluna89 · 24/09/2014 17:09

So happy to see all these lovely scan pictures! Mine's a week tomorrow super excited

I won't be putting anything on facebook other than veiled hints that people who already know will understand, my big facebook announcement for dd came on Xmas day when dd was already over a month old! It had been the plan all along to announce on Xmas day or New Years if she was late but she ended up coming much earlier than we expected...

MissV84 · 24/09/2014 17:12

Hi all... I'm new to this thread, have been driving myself crazy and it's lovely to find this and hear people have had scans and heard heartbeats, I'm counting down to mine on Friday... I've been so anxious (which has made the nausea feel worse) that I've called in sick two days in a row as can't face teaching... Sorry for the moan/rant just feeling incredibly low/scared - I just want to know it's in there for sure Hmm xxx

LadyNovember · 24/09/2014 17:52

I'm sure you'll be fine MissV. Your worries are completely normal..we all felt the same. Just stay positive and keep thinking about seeing your little bean on the screen!

Mini..it's AMAZING that you know the sex already! I'm so jealous..you can start shopping right away!! Congrats on her being a sweet baby girl..she'll be beautiful, I'm sure! Grin

londonlivvy · 24/09/2014 18:14

missv can totally empathise with the fear. It's so hard. I'm 39 so filled with all sorts of negative thoughts. My solution is just to keep busy so not much time to dwell on it. Scan is next Thurs. eek.

mini Gosh congratulations. How exciting to know it's a girl already! I didn't know that was possible. dunce cap for me!

So glad to hear other scans have all gone well.

I really also want the scan to know all is fine before all my yoga students guess (yoga outfits aren't great for hiding bumps and this time it's definitely more obvious!). Though as my mother always says, people aren't as interested in you as you'd think.

I'm so looking forward to my scan... A week on Friday! It would be lovely to find out everything is ok. Also, my husband comes back from New York that morning, I can't wait!

Just had pizza for tea then a yoghurt. Now I feel sick. Got to get dd to bed though...

minipie congratulations! I love having a girl, she's wonderful, bubbly, beautiful and gets to wear cute dresses and frilly socks! Wink

MissV84 · 24/09/2014 19:23

Thanks so much for support! Fingers crossed for Friday and to anyone else in the same anxiety-boat! I also had no idea u could find out the sex so early how exciting xx

Lauren82000 · 24/09/2014 19:46

Daholster I feel a bit sick too but I had butternut squash n chilli soup. Not stopped me cracking open a toblerone though. DH has gone out tonight so it's just me and a snoring DD.
Has anyone else noticed that they aren't as bone tired? I'm still tired but not as bad as it was and my little bloat bump is starting to look more bump like instead of bloat. Made me smile this morning when I couldn't suck it all in anymore. Smile I know it's still bloat but it's forming more of a bump shape than all over bloat.

cinnamongreyhound · 24/09/2014 20:19

Welcome MissV84, let us know how you get on Friday.

I can't eat yoghurt at all at the moment daholster and I usually love it. Hope your scan and Dh coming home comes round quickly for you.

Yay minipie, how lovely to know!

Your scan isn't too far away and then you can get down to it Misty414. Perhaps she's being cautious. I had spotting with ds2 and was never advised not to dtd. I must admit I don't know anything about cervical difficulties though.

Less than a week to my scan now, yay! Will be wishing this week away. Even had an automated call to ask me to confirm I was going to my appointment. Can't imagine anyone who doesn't go to their scan really!

Had my scan today. Heart beat present which is a winner. Put me a week back so have t go for another scan in a weeks time.
I had my first midwife appt just before scan as she forgot t see me the last time.it was in the birth unit so I could hear a woman screaming through the meeting!!! Eleven+2 for me.x

littleluna89 · 24/09/2014 20:51

I was starting to notice I'm less tired in the evenings lauren I've made it through to midnight a couple of times this week before realising the time whereas I had been crashing at 9!

I've got such a loooong day on Saturday, I'm running a festival and I need to be there at 7:30am and the whole thing doesn't finish till 11pm, I've been looking forward to the day for the past year and now I'm dreading it!

daholster · 24/09/2014 20:55

An extra scan is a silver lining to being put a week back chiliplant

Am sipping the fizzy water to try to feel less nauseous. Got lots of tidying and prework prep to do but wanting to splurge in front of bake off feeling pathetic instead! Lauren... Toblerone... Bleurgh...

Thanks cinnamon me too, I'm amazed how much I'm missing him... Dd squealed "daddy!" with delight when the doorbell rang earlier today; I felt so sorry for her and she was grumpy for the next 20 minutes. Sad Obviously she is missing daddy too. I really feel for families who have loved ones in the forces etc.

I definitely have no bump, just squidge!!!!

Lindalove · 24/09/2014 20:57

minipie congrats! I'm well jel that you know the sex! Congrats on knowing :) How exciting!

HippoPottyMouth · 24/09/2014 21:32

That's awesome, minipie, and congratulations everyone else who has had their scans!

I have my first scan on Friday for the harmony blood test, this is the latest I've ever waited in a pregnancy for a scan! Always caved and done an early one before, so I'm really looking forward to finding out if this is really happening, don't really believe it yet!

And yes I'm starting to feel better this week too. I watched bake off from my bed at 8pm last week, this week I've only just sat down to watch it on catch up. Conclusive proof.

And my appetite seems to be coming back, which is nice in some ways but I really want to be careful not to pile the weight on this time so need to come up with a plan for that.

catsofa · 24/09/2014 21:45

I've not had any sickness at all so I've been dealing with the food thing for a while.

I was using MyFitnessPal before I got duffed up, trying to lose the last little bit of weight I put on when I stopped smoking a year ago. I've reset it to "maintenance" now i.e. enough calories per day to maintain my current weight, not lose or gain any. It seems like quite a big calorie allowance after being on a "lose weight" regime for a few months, and it's helping stop me just go crazy and eat twenty thousand of something in a loony cravings binge.

Well, apart from the six packets of pickled onion monster munch I had the other day. I actually burnt my tongue Blush

daholster · 24/09/2014 22:38

catsofa! Shock

I think I need to calorie count. But then I have days of not wanting to eat anything... Then days of being starving every couple of hours and eating like a very greedy horse!!!

catsofa · 24/09/2014 22:54

You know what? I entered the monster munch on MyFitnessPal, included the calories in my daily allowance and stayed within budget overall for that day! Grin

I'd recommend MFP, it's easy to use and shows you things like your weekly average so you can see if your not eating days are balancing out your starving eating horses days.

I cannot recommend 6 packets of monster munch at a time though, give that a miss.

BrixtonBunny · 24/09/2014 22:58

Catsofa that's so funny - when your baby grown up and asks what cravings you had, be sure to remember this! Grin

catsofa · 24/09/2014 23:52

Thing is, I could happily eat six bags of crisps in one go even before I got pregnant Blush
