Yes that's a good idea, thanks, have used map before, be a good way of keeping me sensible!

I was doing the 5:2 diet before I found out, but obviously that's not good when pg! Ok for breastfeeding it seems though, so hope to get back to it.

Pickled onion monster munch sandwiches are lush.

Aww DH made me a brew and some toast in bed this morning. How nice is that. He hardly ever makes me breakfast in bed.

LadyNovember · 25/09/2014 07:18

I wish someone was here to make me breakfast in bed! Very jealous Angry

DP goes to work at 5:30 and I'm certainly not eating breakfast at that time lol

cinnamongreyhound · 25/09/2014 07:39

Personally I think it's a good idea Catsofa, late pregnancy is hard enough without an extra couple of stone. Although I know plenty of people that will disagree with me!! I haven't gained anything so far although I am eating every couple of hours but it's not huge amounts and I'm not eating choclate which probably accounts for many calories normally!

Good news chiliplant, a week is nothing and you get another scan, yay!!

How lovely Lauren82000! I walk the dogs in the morning while dh is getting ready and I always have a cuppa ready when I'm back but it's not quite the same and in return I have to make him coffee at the weekend!

I felt so sick yesterday but today has started better! I braved my first early morning run since ms started and it was fine. Had toast as soon as I got up and went to bed early last night :)

I've been sleeping through from 6pm to 8:30am in the morning the last couple of days Blush

Stuntman · 25/09/2014 12:43

I had my early scan this morning and lo and behold there was Junior measuring 9+1 with the heartbeat flickering away. I'm desperate to find out if it's a boy or a girl, should I make another appointment for 16 weeks? The JustGender scan is only £39.

BananaToast · 25/09/2014 13:02

Great news! And that's a great price for the gender scan, I probably would. Where abouts are you out of interest? All the ones I've seen locally are more expensive.

Stuntman · 25/09/2014 13:23

Banana that's with Ultrasound Direct / Babybond who have clinics all over the UK. It's £79 for a full Gender scan or £39 for a ten minute Just Gender scan.

LadyNovember · 25/09/2014 13:25

That £39 one says from 18 weeks?

It's £50 here for gender scan at 16w+. I'm debating whether to do it!

BananaToast · 25/09/2014 13:32

Ah I think that's the one I looked at actually but thought if I had to wait til 18 weeks I could last another 2 to my 20 week scan. Thanks though.

cinnamongreyhound · 25/09/2014 15:50

20 weeks will be here before you know it! I had mine on my birthday with ds1 who was due 13th April so only a couple of months!

I'm totally shattered today! Don't feel too sick which is great but my eyeballs actually hurt! My back aches if I'm up too long and I feel like I'm going to fall asleep at any moment!

Congratulations stuntman! How wonderful... Siarie I feel your pain, constant sleeping is my only remedy to this awful nausea. Hope the sleeping helps you! Hope nausea lifts soon as work will start to get bothered by my inability to do my job! Called in sick again today and feel so guilty... The metal taste strong today, chain eating crackers and biscuits - joy! Hope everyone's having a good day.

Horseyone · 25/09/2014 16:08

Hello everyone, so lovely to see scans and read stories about them, am only 9+2 and mine seems ages away! Also so nice to read that some of you are starting to return to normal with tiredness and sickness. I have had to go to doctor to have anti sickness jab and been given tablets :( blood pressure gone down and lost 5lbs. Mum suffered with hyperemises, hoping I don't get it too!

On the plus side, I have told my boss and it has made work so much easier. No longer having to make excuses, it feels really good.

Smile

Don't feel you have to Misty, some babies will arrive early or late anyway so our group will have births in March and May as well as April anyway. And there's no rule to say you can't be in both groups!

chiliplant · 25/09/2014 17:13

Thanks cinnamon! Fun some reason I felt a bit deflated! I think it was because I was expecting a scan picture and t tell family this week. But I am over the moon there is something at all and with a heart beat!x

cinnamongreyhound · 25/09/2014 18:15

Yay congrats Misty414! Up to you on threads I was due August with ds2 but decided to join sept thread so i wasn't last, he was 2 weeks late and was beaten by loads of sept mummies. We had babies from July to October on that thread Shock

I've got my booking appointment in the morning, excited to finally have something official to go to.

In terms of family history, what do I need to know about my husband's side? He's not coming so need to find out anything I don't already know tonight.

daholster · 25/09/2014 18:40

24hrs of not wanting to eat anything... Or drink much... And hiccupping and burping... Now I'm suddenly starving but don't fancy anything except perhaps mashed potato??? Any suggestions? Maybe just mash and gravy... Seems like a hassle to peel potatoes though!

Urg my throat hurts and my ear is itchy. Plus my eyes are closing. Don't fancy going through a cold with just paracetamol. Any ladies know what I can and can't talk other than paracetamol? What about lozenges etc? When I had DD I got a coldsore and was quite happily slapping on my cream for it when someone at work said you can't use that. Don't want to take anything I shouldn't.

cinnamongreyhound · 25/09/2014 20:22

No idea sorry lauren82000 I know inuprofen isn't recommeneded but no idea about the rest. Ask the pharmacist if you can.

Just checked notes BananaToast and Dh questions were hip dysphasia, congenital Cataracts, mental illness, chromosomal abnormalities, cystic fibrosis, sickle cell anaemia, haemophilia, muscular dystrophy, metabolic diseases, alcohol units per week, ethnic origin and if he was a blood relative.

If you fancy mash just have mash daholster or with some cheese mixed in for a bit of protein :)

misty it's difficult... From the skull I would guess boy... But I think there is a small nub which is pretty flat suggesting girl! But since I am shamefully inadequate at these things it's unsurprising that I have no idea....

Lauren poor you! I don't have any clever suggestions I'm afraid. Can you sniff Olbas oil? I have a scratchy catching throat this evening (and want to retch every time I cough, great) so think I am definitely coming down with something, I recognise it from the past. I'm too stubborn to take much though with a blinding headache a couple of weeks ago I did give in to some sanity saving paracetamol! I will watch for responses with interest since I'm definitely going to need them tomorrow I think! Wow aren't I a whinge bag? Off to make some mash...
