Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
cazboldy · 28/09/2006 16:09

Thanks CaptainDippy (and the rest of you for being so welcoming) 4 is lovely - though a bit hectic at times. I only have ds3 in the daytime (he will be 9 months next week) as ds 1 (9) dd (6) and ds2 (5) are at school, so I think it will be nice for him to have someone to play with as they get older..... There will be about 15 months between ds3 and the new baby!

CornflakeKid · 28/09/2006 16:24

Congrats to the those scanned - great news.

Told work today - was shaking so much! But done now so everyone knows!

Must go play with ds's!

Bugmum · 28/09/2006 17:28

Not posting much at the moment, as nothing really to say - my scan seems sooo far away yet. Just wanted to say congratulations to all recent scanees at the looking good results!

weeonion · 28/09/2006 18:17

brill news on all the scans... its getting exciting now as we all sem to be having them??

we're all heading towards the next trimester. just think we will be old hands at this with the may and june threads underway!
i feel as if time is going quite quickly - as dp said to me earlier- just wait til xmas is over.... arghhhhh - now theres a thought!!

CaptainDippy · 28/09/2006 19:35

Yes, fab news about all the scans etc - how exciting!! (Bit too! )

I have 14 and a bit months between my current two cazboldy and it is hard work, but completely worth it - they are totally in love with each other!! They are just so close, it really is lovely! Good age gap!! They are 16 months and 2.6 now and it just gets better and better imho!! They'll be 23 months between DD2 and this one and 3.2 yrs between DD1 and this one. I'm going for 4 under 4.5!!

My pottery is just a bit on the side really emmymummy, just something I enjoy doing. When I was at Uni I got a job as a "Girl Friday" doing cleaning etc for this mad old lady who was a f/t potter - I just loved watching her do her stuff, so I got her to teach me a thing or two and it went on from there. I share a wheel with a friend and I make bowls, mugs, teapots, dishes etc It is good fun and v.theraputic!!

Feeling sick and v.tired, might just slope off to bed with my book .....

muminamini · 28/09/2006 20:40

Bubbaloo!
My surname is also R....
it would be Robyn Reucroft but I quite like it

Hello everyone and welcome Cazboldy and any other new ladies.
Excellent to hear about all these scans. Mine is on 11th October and my Mum bless her has booked the day off so she can come with me as my hubby can't make it. I was pleased.

I am SOOOOO constipated it is getting beyond a joke. I have tried everything, Allbran, hot water and lemon, hot water and sugar, hot water and peppermint cordial, litres of water, veg and fruit, my hubby even went out and bought a big bag of liquorice today as some woman he works with says that gets her moving!!!

So I am sitting here eating raspberry liquorice and HOPING!!!

I spoke to the midwife this morning and she said I can have Lactulose to get me going but I would rather try something natural first.

Anyone else really suffering from this. Last night the pain of the wind was agony and I hardly slept....I just want to goooooo!!!!!

Forgive me but someone asked me if I was a nurse and I can't remeber who it was but no I'm not I am just a lowly receptionist in a GP surgery - I promise I am not a horrible witch that never lets anyone have an appointment

weeonion · 28/09/2006 21:02

miam - snap on the due dates and on the lack of bowel action. i feel ike i might explode (TMI)but have tried fresh bolied beetroot and i think i detect "happenings"
sympathies are with you..............

muminamini · 28/09/2006 21:25

Hi weeonion

Let me know if it works...I also detected happenings but I know if I go to the loo....NADA....

Someone has told me ...boiled onions....
think I'd rather explode first

bubbaloo · 28/09/2006 21:29

MIAM-Robyn Rogers doesn't exactly have a ring to it though, does it.

I'm also very constipated and was the same with Ds.Have you tried dried apricots, prunes and apples-all very good to get you moving.I normally suffer dreadfully from IBS(when not pg)and am usually the other way,so at the moment I'm not finding it too bad-it kinda makes a nice(if that's the right word!!)change.

So pleased everyone's scans are going well-mines on the 10th and it can't come around soon enough.

blossom2 · 28/09/2006 21:35

Hi everyone. how is everyone feeling? (apologies not had chance to read the thread yet)

so had my booking appt with the MW today and it was great. she was really nice and was very excited when i said that i wanted a home birth. she seemed a bit wired actually (but she did admit to not having slept much because she has been on duty).
everything is well and baby is fine. although myself by fainting when they took my blood test even though i was lying down!!

has anyone felt their baby move yet?? maybe a question for 2nd plus pregnancies. i had a very strong pain on the side - very very similar to baby moving pain. felt very strange.

i hope everyone is doing okay

CaptainDippy · 28/09/2006 22:27

Ditto to constipated here.

Going to bed ...... soooooo tired .......

weeonion · 28/09/2006 22:45

havent felt what might be baby moving but as 1st pg - prob. wouldnt recognise it. can we this early??

CornflakeKid · 29/09/2006 08:14

Morning folks - have you constipated folks tried dried apricots?

With my first I felt movements at 17 weeks, 15 weeks with the second....third??!!

My neighbour said he wasn't going to say congratulations because he thought I was mad having three - how rude is that??! Shit shield up and fully operational!

weeonion · 29/09/2006 08:49

good morning folks - the weekend is nearly here!

CFK - thanks for the tip- i have tried apricots already. maybe it wasnt a good idea to eat a full bag at a sitting. what a git yr neighbour was could go off on a rant there.......

glad the shield was up - i guess we all will get a bit of that from "well-intentioned" folks.

11 weeks today!!!

muminamini · 29/09/2006 09:07

Hi there

CFK - I would have felt like punching your neighbour in the gob!!! It never ceases to amaze me the way some people feel they have a god given right to say what they want to people regardless of whether it may be offensive or not!!

Well - the liquorice worked...but it was rather...how can I put this politely.....
traumatic! lol

Still have crampy wind pains but at least I've been a bit! Will just have a wee bit of licquorice through the day instead of three strings in one sitting like last night as I think that may have been the armageddon approach!

Did have a scary experience last night - woke at about 3 am so bursting for a wee and after I had been my C sec scar from last time was so sore I felt like it was going to burst. I was a bit panicked by it but it eventually went away. Do you think it could be my bladder pressing on it that does this? Am v worried about whole scar popping open scenario (I know I'm such a worrier!)

Well the MS is definatley a bit better - managed a bacon sandwich for breakfast...ok eating it but the smell of it cooking wasn't too pleasant but last week I couldn't have even attempted it.

11 weeks today !
Have a good day
x

muminamini · 29/09/2006 09:08

On the feeling the baby moving front - I think everyon eis different - it was 18 weeks for me withthe first - I have read that with your second you feel it earlier but I can't say I've felt anything yet....apart from WIND!
x

geordiemacminx · 29/09/2006 09:17

Morning all.

Yep CFK I wouldnt have been responsible for my actions if neighbour had been so rude to me.. I think you did very well.. some people just have no manners do they?

Hope everyone is well and looking forward to the weekend..

Was poorly sick again this morning but am feeling ok now.. only working til lunch time then driving back down to the north east to see my mum while dp decorates our bedroom

GMM- you'll be able to bring the pics of the scan for her! is this her first gc?

Smole · 29/09/2006 09:31

Morning all.

CFK - how rude of your neighbour.

Glad everyones scan yesterday went well.

I'm 12+0 today and feel halfway normal at the moment for the first time in ages.

geordiemacminx · 29/09/2006 09:42

WO... yep first grandchild...I took a pic on my fone of the first scan and sent it to her... I think she now has it as the wallpaper on her fone and the screen saver on her pc... she's already been looking at little fairy outfits in Next... I can see her being reported to social services before the little one is even born!!! She hs also made me promise that I wont drive any faster than 60mph all the way to Durham.. as if.. it would take me 3 days!!! Gained another 2 days at the scan yesterday too which makes me officially an "apriler"

Geordie Mac - what an ornament you are from the May thread! I have been wracking my tiny pgcy brain on how to decorate DS2's room while he is here as there is nowhere else to put him to sleep. But I'll take him over to Ireland for a little visit and leave DH to get on with it!! I'm thinking late October. Now to persuade DH....

Bramshott - have you reported in after your scan yet? Hope all is ok if you haven't and apologies if I've missed it.

geordiemacminx · 29/09/2006 09:49

You will just have to trawl the internet-ski and find som "eveidence" that paint fumes are harmful to pregnant ladies!!

To be honest I think it would be a much better idea if you were all out of the way and I'm sure dh would see the benefits too.." you've missed a bit"

Ornament??? Is that a good thing or a bad thing??

Anyways I got a different date at scan yesterday - 29th April so thats good!!!

Hi everyone, can I join you? Have been a mner for a while now, on and off. I'm 13 + 2 weeks pg with number four. I have 2 DDs (aged 6 and 4) and a DS (20 months). I'm so glad to be leaving the first trimester behind. We live in Cordoba, Spain and DH is in the UK for 8 weeks at the moment (3 weeks to go!!) so I've been looking after the three children on my own. Luckily no actual MS, bit felt pretty queasy most of the time. Anyway, bring on the blooming phase!!

Well I'm off to take DS to the doctors. Nice to meet you and all and look forward to chatting with you.

weeonion · 29/09/2006 10:13

hi claricebean - welcome to the april thread!
