Greengirlforever · 01/10/2006 19:59

Thank you to everyone for the wonderful things you've said. I ain't gonna disappear - good news or bad you'll hear about it. Pretty much definitely decided on CVS for tomorrow and should get the result Tuesday or Wednesday I guess. And if it is bad - then termination. . But it might be good so we may all be leaping about by midweek...

Anyway, the rest of you keep well and happy - second trimester blooming and bumps beckon!

I'll be back prob tomorrow pm to tell you how it all went unless I'm too traumatised.......

weeonion · 01/10/2006 21:58

GGF-Best of luck for tomorrow.x

Had a nice lazy weekend here, not doing much which made a nice change.

Hope everyone is well!

mammyjo · 02/10/2006 08:05

Hi GGF. Just wanted to say that I am thinking of you today. What a terrible and difficult situation to be in.
Love to you, hoping all will be well xxx

IsabellaMoi · 02/10/2006 08:41

GGF: VERY much hoping it goes well today and you get good news on Tuesday/Wednesday.

Hope everyone has a good week and the scans go well.

There's an article on the BBC health page today about conflicting advice (+guilt) given to pregnant women. Discovered that flax seed, of all things, is not recommended in pregnancy. Had no idea. I had been intentionally making bread (don't be impressed - I use a bread machine) with added flax seed for the omega 3 benefits! Can't do anything right!

geordiemacminx · 02/10/2006 08:57

GGF you have my thoughts and prayers.xxx

GGF thinking of you today. Hope all goes well and the results are good on tues/wed. Lots of love to you.

Hope everyone had a good weekend. Mine a bit hectic DH been to Prague for the weekend and DS has been poorly.

emmymummy · 02/10/2006 09:12

Morning all. GGF, big day today - will be thinking of you.

Well for me the ms has totally regressed to horrid again. Threw up for the first time last night half way through eating my dinner. After vomiting, went back and finished my dinner - how gross is that, but I just had to get some food inside me. Feel totally gross today and am having a duvet day, interspersed with (hopefully) some working from home. Just feel on the verge of voming all the time though - what is going on - I'm 10+5 days, surely I shouldn't be getting worse?

On a happier note it was my birthday on Sat and dh & I went to see The Producers at the theatre in London. It was absolutely fantastic and I have never laughed so much - if any of you get the chance to see it then go, bloody brilliant! Just what I needed!

doghouse · 02/10/2006 10:02

GGF - just wanted to say thinking of you today and here's too much leaping around later on this week heh?!

Doghouse 14 weeks today (TBC by dating scan this pm)

weeonion · 02/10/2006 10:19

doghouse - good luck this afternoon...

emmymummy · 02/10/2006 10:21

Argh just vom'ed again. What is going on?

AngeG · 02/10/2006 10:40

Good luck with your scan this afternoon doghouse.
Poor you emmymummy are you sure it isn't a bug? Have you suffered with actual vomiting so far?
Hope your feeling better soon.

13+1

emmymummy · 02/10/2006 10:44

Ange - first vom this pregnancy was last night. Never vom'ed when preg with dd. Hopefully not a bug as dh is going away on a course this week & don't think I'd be able to cope with school-run etc. Maybe just a surge of hormones?

Good luck this avo Doghouse x

AngeG · 02/10/2006 10:47

Emmymummy - keep those positive thoughts. I expect you're right just a surge of hormones.

CaptainDippy · 02/10/2006 10:56

I'm just one great big surge of hormones atm!! Hope it wasn't anything, just a one off emmymummy - we're all bug-gered in DippyLand so I hope it not a bug cos they are horrid, trust me!!

Hope everything goes really well today GGF - thinking of you - let us all know how it goes asap, hoping all is ok with bean. [hugs]

Hope your scan goes well today doghouse - how exciting!! Bit though!

Hello Hensden - good to "see" you honey! Sorry you have ben soooo poorly - hoping you feel heaps better soon and can join us more regularly!!

Still yukky sick in DippyLand - DH and I have recovered enough to feel relatively "normal" (DH went back to work today ), but DD's are yukky and snotty, poor little things. DD1 seems a bit better today - can't wait til they're 100% again, this illness seems to have gone over fooooorever!!!!

Gotta so much to do - inc phoning up to see whether I still have a job to go to this week .... eeeeek!!

bubbaloo · 02/10/2006 11:09

Doghouse-Good luck with your scan this afternoon.Mine is getting nearer now-only 8 days to go...and counting.

Emmymummy-Happy belated birthda to you.
Glad you enjoyed the show.Haven'y seen it myself, but have heard it is fab!

CD-Hope the Dippy household are better soon.x

liath · 02/10/2006 13:28

Hi everyone,

Hope all goes Ok today, GGF and at least it's a short wait for results - will keep everything crossed for you. Good luck for your scan today Doghouse.

Hoping things improve in Dippyland and the vomiting stops Emmy.

I've been off staying with my parents. Both my sisters are pg and my middle sister was up from London so it was great all three of us being together to compare bumps (or gut in my case) and symptoms!! We're due January then March then April - my mum's already having kittens!!

CornflakeKid · 02/10/2006 13:52

Hello everyone - have 5 mins respite while ds2 has a kip - another cup of tea needed! I'm 12 weeks at last - yipppeee - have resisted urge so far (for approx 3 hours) to buy every baby item have seen over last few weeks - am going to wait til feb to buy stuff! I am going to see if I have the will power to resist spending - it will be a huge challenge - I bought sofas last christmas and have to pay for them by the new year - so am meant to be saving not spending!

When you go for a nuchal/blood test - what do they test for in the blood? And are they looking for high or low levels of whatever it is? Just curious as in the past everyone just had the scan and now have a blood test too. It was thinking about GGF that made me wonder.

Poor CD - what a struggle - hope you are better soon.

Good luck with scans today!

muminamini · 02/10/2006 14:02

Good luck GGF - thinking of you this weekx and also Doghouse for your scan.

Emmy mummy - it sounds like a bug? My bestfriend had been at my house for 5 mins on Sat night when she started being sick and had to go home - came over her very suddenly and lasted 24 hrs!

Just back from work and cooked myself a very unnutritious bowl of Batchelors 98% Fat Free Supernoodles - I really fancied them and they were SO GOOD! lol

Have the afternoon to myself - pick DS up later from nursery - torn between washing the wooden floor downstairs and going to bed for a few hours....lol

Have a good afternoon everyone
MIAM 11+3

CornflakeKid · 02/10/2006 14:20

go to bed MIAM!!

muminamini · 02/10/2006 14:25

Will do - gonna go and have an hour before I go and get the boy wonder!

Does anyone else secretly fantasise about smothering their snoring husband!???? I hardly got a wink of sleep last night.

How on earth will the baby ever sleep in our room with him snorting away!

gotta love them.......
