Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Memphisbelly · 17/09/2014 08:18

Littlemiss did you find out what you were having?

Just had a load of paperwork through for my cord donation Grin

sandulacek · 17/09/2014 08:21

Morning!

Has anyone had a crying outburst for no particular reason? My DH was joking with me last night and instead of laughing I started crying! It left him somewhat confused...

still no bubbles or movement felt, 17+2

Have a good day everyone Cake

sandulacek · 17/09/2014 08:30

Memphis had to google what you meant but what a great idea, didn't know you can do that! I'm on the transplant donor list anyway so if I can do something now that would be a bonus. Do you just let know your midwife you want to do that and they send you the paperwork?

donkir · 17/09/2014 08:42

Oooo just looked at cord donation too as I'm on organ donor list. It's a shame it only happens in about 5 areas. Not in my area though unfortunately.

BanglesSpangles · 17/09/2014 09:27

ah boo- just had a quick google and it's not done in my hospital either

Memphisbelly · 17/09/2014 09:31

Sand our hospital has an anthony nolan unit we were told about it at booking in appointment, my friend said she wanted to do it but its a real faff....I will ne doing it though as long as they don't keep me in longer than I have too. i have filled out all the forms then they stay in your notes then you can make an appointment with the team before birth to sign something with them (I have a scan at 32 weeks so will try and organise it for same day) then they have to take blood after the birth. They apparently send the baby 'I am a little lifesaver' t shirt too.
I wanted to privately save ds's cord last time but they didn't have the resources and it was very expensive and then the donation unit came in about a year after he was born.

On day 2 of arches in shoes and the leg/ankle pain has gone. Just pain in the arches now which I can cope with, I also slept last night!

donkir · 17/09/2014 09:42

Memphis I'm so glad the inserts are starting to work. I'd def do the tin can exercises for a week or so as it will stretch the arches under your foot which will then be supported by the insert.

Memphisbelly · 17/09/2014 09:47

Thank you donkir I sat last noght with cans under my feet, ds thought I was crazy, I will keep it up

freneticfox · 17/09/2014 10:41

I had to get up at least a thousand times last night to pee. (Ok, it was probably closer to three or four).

Could my body be preparing me for sleepless nights ahead?

I'm actually grateful for my chronic fatigue - at least this part doesn't feel alien!

Bangonthedoor · 17/09/2014 10:56

Morning everyone Smile

DD and I have been for a trip to the next town this morning, they have an amazing preloved kids shop so I got some lovely bits for baby and some winter boots for DD. Also picked up a handy jojo travel changing mat and a new step stool for DD for £1. Plus some stocking filler toys for DD! I feel like I'm on a roll Grin

Bangonthedoor · 17/09/2014 10:57

Oh and the peeing thing is doing my head in already and I know it's going to get worse! I don't even drink anything and I'll need to go several times an hour! Hmm

BanglesSpangles · 17/09/2014 11:00

So frenetic- dare I ask... have you stopped being sick yet?

And actually, how are the rest of Team Vom?

Bang- noooo- don't say you're one of those people who are organised enough to have started christmas shopping already!

freneticfox · 17/09/2014 11:25

Bangles - Yeah; I think I'm confident enough to say that part of the pregnancy is over for the most part. I still have bouts of nausea when I'm either too tired, too hungry, or my hips are playing up - but that's generally my life in a nutshell so I'm coping ok. I think I'm going to have to make peace with the fact I will have the odd bad day.

Smells are also no longer a problem, which is delightful. I cooked a chicken stir fry last night without a care in the world; two weeks ago the sight alone of raw chicken would have turned my stomach :D

Memphisbelly · 17/09/2014 11:25

I pee loads witb baby jumping on my bladder sadly he is quiet today when i need it just totally missed sample bottle so will be presenting about 3 drips to doc

BanglesSpangles · 17/09/2014 11:33

whoop whoop! Very pleased for you Frenetic!

L1ttleMissGiggles · 17/09/2014 11:35

Morning Ladies
I hope everyone well is feeling well today! I just wanted to say that I am on here everyday reading and catching up with everyone's post. I don't often post myself as I feel I don't have much to contribute being a First Time Mum but I love all the support that is given to everyone and its great for us all to be at the same sort of stage. I have 20 week scan in 2 weeks and still waiting to feel my little bundle of joy move....always waiting for something!!
Hope you all have a great day!!
xxxxx

Bangonthedoor · 17/09/2014 12:00

bangles I'm afraid to say I'm half way through my christmas shopping Grin even started collecting long life nibbles and crimbo treats!

I don't want to spend december waving goodbye to all my money. I want to spend it eating mince pies, watching films and generally being fat! Maybe the odd carol singing in there somewhere Wink

Although I am planning a trip to winter wonderland at Hyde park in December so I'm sure I'll make myself skint there!

Can you tell I love Xmas?!

Bangonthedoor · 17/09/2014 12:07

Is anyone else crazy and weigh themselves in pregnancy? I weighed myself at work yesterday and have gained 6kg! Shock

Memphisbelly · 17/09/2014 12:10

I have also started xmas buying. we go Disney paris in dec so need it all sorted for then as that will skint us (I love nightnare before xmas so plan on buying up disneys stocks of merch for my Tim Burton tree)

L1ttleMissGiggles · 17/09/2014 12:12

I weigh myself once a week but I did Slimming World and lost 3 stone to have a baby (the morning sickness helped me get to target I think!). I have gained 9lbs and am 18 weeks now. Not sure if this is good or bad? It scares me to see the numbers going up and not down as it took just over 12 months for me to loose 3 stone.

I love xmas too, will be starting the xmas shopping after pay day! xx

Bimberley · 17/09/2014 12:43

I dont even dare to look at how much weight I've gained. I'm guessing a fair bit now as most clothes are too tight.

DD just had her first morning at school!
I managed to hold back the tears!

She got on great and loves it, which makes starting school easier.

DS has declared he needs to go to school now. Have an appointment witha nnursery tomorrow!

Why do they grow so quick!!

Scan tomorrow. I cannot wait!
I have a strong feeling this baby is a girl and will be so shocked if they say boy!!
DH is panicking, as he does before all the scans bless him!

BanglesSpangles · 17/09/2014 12:51

I get on the scales every week and write it down in a specially prepared notebook (have been for two years) (stop giggling at the back- you should know what I'm like by now)

I've only, apparently, put on 5lb since the start. Think my scales must be broken/on wonky floor because surely, surely I must've put on more weight than that- i can't even fit in my jeans!

Organised Christmas People- I hate you all a little bit

Ticktick · 17/09/2014 12:59

Me too l1ttlemiss I lost 3 stone with weight watchers for my wedding last year. Having worked so hard to loose weight its really disconcerting to see the scales climbing up!!! I've put on about 6lbs so far (18wk), I'm trying to keep myself on the straight and narrow with my food choices but I'm having more and more of the 'oh sod it' moments. Even so this little voice in my head keeps reminding me that I've got to loose this weight again next year, eek!!!

donkir · 17/09/2014 13:07

I'm also one that weighs myself every week and also measure my tummy. I've put on 4kg but I did lose 1 when I stopped my bootcamp.
If I continue to put this amount on for the next 20 weeks I'll gain 2 and a half stone which is less than when I had ds so hopefully means I'll have a slightly smaller baby.
My tummy is now measuring 94cm around it's gone up 4cms in a week Shock.
I'm 20 weeks tomorrow.

Grinningcat · 17/09/2014 13:22

Ha. I been weighing myself everyday! So far I've put on 7lbs at 17 1/2 weeks.
