Hi ladies,
I've been AWOL for the past week but have just caught up with all your news! Glad people are over the sickly phase, still waiting for the glow though!

I've been back at work this week after being off for the summer hols. I have an hour & 10 mins commute to work & I'm finding it tough. I'm wrecked by time I arrive home. I get 26 weeks MT so even though not due till end of Feb, I think i'll finish at Christmas. That'll bring me up to the summer hols again!

Memphis and Grinning, hope you are both feeling better today!

Welcome Fishcake! I too had a MC in April and luckily pregnant again in May. It's hard not to worry!!

I had my 16wk checkup yday & got to hear Bean's HB. It was magical. Kept losing it as very active little person in there! Will have reassurance now for 48 hrs!

Re sleeping; I wake up everytime I lie on my back...which is a lot. I'm also getting a sore left hip from lying. I've put a pillow between my knees & that helps a lot!

Sorry about the essay!!

blankfornames · 06/09/2014 08:08

My gosh, the May bus has just rolled up!! Us Feb ladies are really getting bumped up the line! Eeeeshkk!! Grin

Memphisbelly · 06/09/2014 08:54

Tmi city here...my pee was red yesterday, by bed bright orange and due to weird coloured antibiotics it is now green! But already feeling a bit better and not crying on the toilet! We are suppost to be going to a fun day with dh's friends tomorrow, its on a park with no toilets so im unsure I can go Sad

BanglesSpangles · 06/09/2014 09:23

Morning all
Glad youre on the mend, memphis
Jack, ta for the tights reommendation- they were on my list but didnt have any tights in my size.

My digestive system has officially packed up - feeling ridiculously bloated still from last nights dinner. I woke up about 3 hours ago, am starving hungry but genuinely dont think i can fit breakfast in without making the situation worse... Going to find some peppermint tea

LittleMissSunshine33 · 06/09/2014 13:58

Oh memphis how horrible!! Hate UTIs hope you're feeling better soon!

I can't remember if I said but my dog made my baby move as he was squashing it! That was Thursday then a little in the evening but nothing yesterday or today? Is that normal once you have felt it?

OP posts:
freneticfox · 06/09/2014 14:54

Nearly 3pm on day four of no nausea... oh my god. Fingers so tightly crossed right now.

Still not glowing though. Feeling tired and 'greasy'. Although my fingernails are currently freakishly strong. Is that a pregnancy thing?!

blankfornames · 06/09/2014 15:59

Apparently hair & nails grow faster than the speed of light when you're preggers!

Wuhooo for still feeling good Frenetic!! As for the glow...i think it's all fictitious!!

Memphisbelly · 06/09/2014 19:14

Frenetic my nails are freakishly strong having to hack thrm with nig scissors as they are too strong for nail scissors, having to cut them weekly as they grow so quickly too. When I first fell pg I had my hair cut from down my back to a chin length bob and having to get it trimmed every month as its too long.

Still hurting to go loo but not too bad now, this anti b thry said is normally taken for 3 days but they put me on it for 7 because I am pg which I thought was odd.
I am obsessed about my kitchen diner smelling of dog, I mopped the floor and sprayed curtains, dh says it doesn't smell......but it does according to my nose!

freneticfox · 06/09/2014 19:47

Memphis hopefully the ABs will do their thang ASAP!

I've not noticed any difference in my hair yet, but my nails are strong and growing really quickly, which is very unusual for me. Usually they flake at the first sign of contact with a hard surface.

I think I felt baby move properly today, at least I hope I did. Was sat watching a film and felt a weird sensation - like someone running a finger along the inside of my womb. Never felt anything like it; stopped me in my tracks. 17w today, so maybe it's possible. Amazing if so!

Memphisbelly · 06/09/2014 19:53

Frenetic sounds like baby to me I think first movements are like bubbles popping or a really light tap from the inside!
My nails normally do the same split and crack if I remotely catch them.

freneticfox · 06/09/2014 19:57

I painted my nails on Tuesday, and there's already a good 2mm regrowth at the nail bed; insanity!

I can't wait for DH to be able to feel baby's movements, will be so nice to 'include' him!

Memphisbelly · 06/09/2014 20:03

Thats how I felt just desperste to get him to feel, it wont be long until he can, I asked dh to feel and after a second he felt nothing so moved away I said think of it like fishing you sit for ages without moving hoping for a bite Grin and he felt a thud within minutes, last night he had his hand on my belly and he had 3 thuds one after another like he was being told to move his hand, because my bladder is sore/swollen kicks hurt today and he seems to be using my bladder as a trampoline

Grinningcat · 06/09/2014 20:45

Thank you for all the good wishes, but feeling better today. Pains were definitely muscular as they have all but gone today. Still getting the odd twinge if I bend down though so think I need to improve my technique to adjust to my bump better. Hope the rest of you are also well or getting better.

Felt some bubbly like feelings last night and the night before so hoping it is the start of baby movements rather than indigestion! 16 weeks today so possible I guess.

Off to the Lake District tomorrow for a weeks holiday. Last one without baby. It will be nice to have week just concentrating on DH and our soon to be life changing experience. Also lots of tea shops...

Bangonthedoor · 06/09/2014 20:51

grinning my best friend who is also due in February is in the Lake District at the moment also for a pre-baby getaway!

Conked out this evening as soon as DD went to bed and for the first time I had to roll onto my side as I felt a bit dizzy and a bit funny.

Starting to feel more and more movements now which is lovely Smile

Viperama · 06/09/2014 21:08

Frenetic I'm 18 weeks tmrw and I first felt proper movement on Monday 17+1 baby turning as I walked into future nursery at home, then a kick while sat down at work 17+2 then another kick yesterday on 17+5 and this morning I woke up to go pee and my bump was almost gone and it felt like a compact stone just above my pubic line, was obviously the babies head, as I lay back down over the next 10 minutes I could feel it shifting position until head was the other way round and my bump was back.
I couldn't believe it, was sooooooo weird! Loved it :-)

Viperama · 06/09/2014 21:11

Oh bubbling and popping started at 16 weeks for me so not long til you all start feeling unmistakable movement :-)

Memphis glad to hear you are starting to feel better!

I've always been a massive water drinker, now it's a joke I'm on 4 litres a day easy. Must have water, and ice cold too!

freneticfox · 06/09/2014 21:15

Viper that's incredible! I definitely can't wait to feel proper movement. Feeling real all of a sudden :)

Memphisbelly · 06/09/2014 21:26

Viper mine does that too bump goes soft and have a hard bump low down then flips, happened at the docs yesterday as she felt my belly, she said it is his bum as he pushes back with feet to flip himself. He flipped then kicked her!

Viperama · 06/09/2014 21:52

Memphis I find baby does it after I get up from sitting down or laying down for a while.
So the doc said the main movement you feel is the bum against you as baby flips?

Memphisbelly · 06/09/2014 21:58

Yes thats what she said she said its like a roly poly pushes bum out to be able to flip, I felt ds's bum loads as he grew it was always on the left hand side and I remember the mw sort or gripping it through my belly and saying thats his bottom and wiggling it Shock

She said imagine being in a swimming pool and doing a forward roll you would tuck your head in and push your bum out, I suppose she is right (I am a rubbish swimmer)

Frenetic you will be feeling all this in a week or two!

donkir · 06/09/2014 22:01

Glad your all talking about movement I was just in the bath a felt big lump in pelvic area and thought it was head. Although a few movements which I've felt since 14 weeks nothing is set as a pattern yet. Can't wait for big kicks and limbs sticking out.

Had a day sat on my bum doing first aid course and got same again tomorrow Hmm my back is killing.

Glad everyone's sickness seems to be abating and sorry about the uti's. Get well soon.

Bangonthedoor · 07/09/2014 08:43

Morning all.

I hope everyone enjoys their Sunday, the sun is shining where I am Smile

We're off to my dads for lunch today which will be nice. No cooking for me Grin

LittleMissSunshine33 · 07/09/2014 09:43

Glad everyone is starting to feel movements! So exciting!

How often do people feel their baby move as I read you should feel it about 10 times a day but is that later on as Im lucky if I feel it once every day?!

OP posts:
Memphisbelly · 07/09/2014 09:50

Morning all
Little, iss the first couple of weeks maybe once or twice a day if I was lucky, I now know when he is awake. I think once you are feeling lots of movement its 10 times a day but if baby is awake you are likely to feel that in one wake up period......until later on when room is scarce and all you then feel some days is a bit of toe tapping a wriggling.

Thimk I am being hormonal today, ds starts full time school hours tomorrow, I work saturdays and he has gone on a bikeride with his daddy wanting me to stay at home, I love that he adores dh so much but wish he would let me 'join their club' sometimes. I said to dh this next baby is mine, it will love lie ins and then want to spend time with me Grin ds is very loving towards me but would prefer to miss out on playing toys with someone or read a book rather than me do it.

freneticfox · 07/09/2014 11:03

I can't wait to join the talk about movement! Had a couple of bubbles last night, but nothing major after the 'big' move!

Today we're moving some stuff about in our guest room (while I still have some mobility!) to make room for a cot, other baby furniture. I feel bad for poor DH as usually we're fairly equal in sharing heavy lifting (he's asthmatic) but he's really worried about me doing too much and insisting on taking most of the brunt of the move about.

Can really feel my abdominal muscles stretching today, it's odd. And I already have stretch marks on my boobs. Yay.
