Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Cisforcat · 18/08/2014 18:21

Brixton last time mine went at 9!weeks but yrs it can last til 14 weeks, or all pregnancy for some.
Seriously- ask your GP for something if your struggling. My tablets for anti sickness have definitely helped and made the day more cope able. I was seriously struggling before hand.

Hair dying- I did all through my DD pregnancy and it was never an issue so sure it's not a problem.

Congrats siari!

Cassieyellow · 18/08/2014 18:37

Mine went at 12 weeks last time but I guess it can vary. My best friend gets absolutely no symptoms at all! But she says that makes it hard because you don't feel like anything is happening. I had my hair high lighted 4 days before getting BFP and got it died last time.
Choco / Luna/ cinnamon- defo hospital birth (N&N) for me. Although don't want to be hanging out in post natal ward for long!

BrixtonBunny · 18/08/2014 18:45

Oh Cis that sounds amazing - I'll make a docs appointment on Wednesday and see if they can prescribe me something! X

CareBearWithFangs · 18/08/2014 18:57

Glad your going to docs Brixton. There's no point in suffering if you don't have to. Doctor prescribed me something quite useful during my last pregnancy. Can't remember what it's called though.

So I booked a reassurance scan. 31st August, looking forward to it but I'm a bit scared.

Welcome and congratulations to more newcomers!

I've been craving bacon sandwiches all day.

Phryn · 18/08/2014 19:13

Hello ladies. Congrats to the new people joining the thread. Sorry to hear so many are suffering with morning sickness. I feel a bit bleughh from time to time but am mostly okay. If I didn't know my Mum didn't throw up and barely felt sick I think I'd be worried that I wasn't really pregnant or something was wrong. Sore nipples, being shattered, weird taste in my mouth and heightened sense of smell are still my big symptoms.

I've enjoyed reading further info about people so here's mine....

I'm 32, husband is 34 (35 next month). We've been together for 7 years, but were friends for 4/5 years before getting together. It's our 4 year anniversary this Thursday Smile . We live in Brighton. This is my first pregnancy.

Got a scan at the EPU tomorrow am at 8:30am to check all is well because I had spotting all last week. Spotting stopped over the weekend so I hope they'll find positive signs of development, but I'll only be 7 weeks so I know they might not be able to see much. Feeling currently reletively peaceful about it but tomorrow may be different!

Phryn · 18/08/2014 19:14

*Whoops - meant to say 4 year wedding anniversary this week!

littleluna89 · 18/08/2014 19:26

Feel like my toilet bowl and I have a fairly intimate relationship, have barely left it all day, and DD has started to mimic my horrific vomiting noises which is fab>.>

Norwich ladies (we're growing in Number!) I had IUGR, a precipitate labour and a PPH las time, so I'm going to camp out at my mums (10 mins from hospital) from 36 weeks and going in at the first sign of twinges (even if this means I have to hang out in the cafeteria :p) though I am assuming I'll have consultant lead care this time round?

LadyNovember · 18/08/2014 19:29

Jeez these threads move fast haha! Welcome & congrats to the newcomers!

I either didn't have a uti or I managed to stop one from developing by drowning myself in cranberry juice. Feel lots better today.

Had my first emotional melt down tonight Blush had a tiff with DP who is possibly the least sympathetic person I've ever met. Cried my eyes out and smeared mascara all over my face teehee. Feeling so exhausted...was away this weekend with a big group, so did two days of heavy travelling and lots of early mornings and no naps. DP has now gone out and I'm relaxing in the bath...feel better already ha. Anyone else occasionally want to beat their OHs with a frying pan occasionally? Grin

Oh and I'm 25, DP is 32. We've been together for 5 years, engaged for 4 (no rush with the wedding obviously haha) and we're from Lincolnshire.

CareBearWithFangs · 18/08/2014 19:36

Littleluna DD started doing that during my last pregnancy, it's gross isn't it?

ladyflower23 · 18/08/2014 19:40

Three from Brighton now!
Saw a friend today who knows and she said 'ah you have a bump now'. I don't it's FAT that I have managed to accumulate in just 4 weeks of pregnancy. Worried much!! Is anyone else suffering from CONSTANT hunger??? I'm so scared...

LadyNovember · 18/08/2014 19:59

I'm the opposite ladyflower, I seem to have lost my once-enormous appetite. Forcing myself to eat 3 meals a day some days and stopped snacking completely. However, the odd occasion I do get hungry I feel literally FAMISHED. Grin

FYI, Asda has some great bargains on fruit and cereal bars etc at the moment..something healthier to snack on? Got some blueberries today...83p!! Shock

StopEatingThatMud · 18/08/2014 20:02

LadyNovember I went crazy hormonal pregnant lady at DP last night too :( thankfully what could of turned into a massive row due to my total awfulness didn't. I had to walk into the toilets at work for 5 minutes peace today too before I snapped at someone. I never normally have an issue with my temper but I'm struggling at the moment.

Does anyone know if there's anything suitable for acne treatment during pregnancy? I have two different GP prescribed creams in the cupboard from the last couple of years of on/off awful skin but hesitant to use them. My skin round my chin/mouth has massively flared up for the first time in months and aside from the fact it knocks my self confidence massively they really bloody hurt!

With ds1 it stopped dead on 13 weeks with ds2 it wasn't as bad but carried on until 16 weeks, sorry BrixtonBunny!

I will going to west Suffolk CassieYellow, had the option first time with wsh or addenbrookes but it's further and dh was treated really badly when he had dss.

Afraid I don't know what any of those things are littleluna89, will have to google!

Glad you don't have a uti LadyNovember and sorry you fell out with your dh. Mine is pretty sympathetic but doesn't always get things right.

I'm a lot more hungry ladyflower23, and the moment I'm hungry I feel sick so I feel I'm eating more but I haven't put on weight so far and I'm also not going to the loo much so thinking perhaps I'm just using more of what I eat? I wish I could eat fruit but at the moment it makes me feel awful, I had one grape the other day and felt so ill for so long! I really could live off white bread and chips!!! Shock

Get yourself to the gp StopEatingThatMud and they will sort you out with something suitable I'm sure.

LadyNovember · 18/08/2014 20:33

Glad to see I'm not alone in my crazy hormonal-ness. It's so nice to be able to talk to others in the same situation.

minipie · 18/08/2014 20:42

stopeating if one of the creams is Duac I know that's safe to use as I checked last time round. however if it's Epiduo or anything else with retinol or retinoids then best to avoid. my skin's going crazy too Sad

minipie · 18/08/2014 20:43

carebear argh now I really want a bacon sandwich!

tickletink · 18/08/2014 20:52

Hi ladies. Just 'graduated' from the August bus - got my big fat positive this morning. :)

Totally excited and mildly scared too.

Have a Dr appointment set up for next week which I'm frustrated about. When I had my coil out, Dr said to just call in and arrange a midwife appointment - no need to see her. Called up today to make an appointment and the receptionist thought she knew ether than me and my doc and insisted I needed a GP appointment. So I shall go to it, get my referral and waste both mine and the doctor's time!

So my stats are: 29, DC#1, EDD 25th April 2015.

StopEatingThatMud · 18/08/2014 21:03

cinnanon last time I couldn't so much as look at a vegetable for weeks!

Thanks minipie ones benzyl peroxide 5% gel and the others Differin. Both quite mild in the scale of things but still don't want to chance it. It's horrid isn't it? I chancednnot washing my hair yesterday, won't be doing that again in a hurry, looked like I'd left it weeks!

Congrats tickles ! Gp's surgeries vary so much don't they? My last was awful but my current ones receptionists are always fab and can never do enough to help which seems to not be the norm sadly

cowbiscuits · 18/08/2014 21:09

Hi everyone, are those of you who have been pregnant before constantly comparing it? I can't remember exactly when pregnancy symptoms started last time. I know I had a persistent headache for days from just after i found out but wasnt sure if it was caffiene withdrawal! I have had headache and been ridiculously tired today, but I also have a crappy bad cold and feeling a bit rough with that. I also worked a 14h shift yesterday then got up at 5.30am today so that will do it! Am starting to feel slightly nauseous too, can't remember when all these symptoms started last time!

cinnamongreyhound · 18/08/2014 21:18

Congratulations Tinkletink and cowbiscuits!!

I'm 7 weeks on weds and haven't heard from midwife yet, despite having a scan date Confused

minipie · 18/08/2014 21:33

stop the benzoyl peroxide 5% sounds like Duac (that's the brand name I have anyway but same ingredients) so that should be fine - but best to check with GP or pharmacist of course... Differin is retinoid, not safe.

cinnamon I was the same so rang up today to check about booking in - anyway got home and booking in letter is waiting for me! hope yours comes soon.

MustBeDueSomeBetterFeet · 18/08/2014 21:36

Very happy to see more of the August bus have arrived!

To answer the questions, I am 36 and husband 37. We've been together 9 years and married 4. Living in North Beds.

Nearly 5 weeks and dreading the nausea. Last time even water made me feel sick!
