CatRen - sometimes but not always would be my answer to that. After a few days of feeling okay I've had the worse day so far today, have been sick a few times (I've lost count) and still feeling awful. Bleugh. Sorry to hear you're feeling rubbish too. I've finally got onto the computer so here are the updated stats.

CareBearWithFangs · 18/08/2014 07:52

Catren I think that's the worst thing about morning sickness, actually being sick seems to make no difference and you still feel just as nauseous.

I have woke up feeling dreadful, the dry heaving has started already. I'm only 5 + 4 so thought I might at least get another week feeling ok Hmm

Misty hope your feeling ok, sounds very stressful.

CatRen27 · 18/08/2014 08:52

Thanks carebear and twittwoo that's helpful - probably won't be sticking my fingers down my throat any time soon! We can all feel sorry for ourselves together I think.. eugh

BrixtonBunny · 18/08/2014 08:56

My sickness has kicked up a notch too, feel so dreadful - no idea how to get through full-time work! Anyone have any tips?

catellington · 18/08/2014 09:14

brixton I really sympathise with the work thing! I was just trying to remember how I worked through the nausea last time - really remember the days dragging by. I think I just ate continuously, had a fruit salad or crisps on the go the whole time, and lots of early nights! I now work for myself which is much easier as I can have a lie down if I feel rough.

I'm worried this morning though - feel absolutely fine this morning, nausea seems to have gone, don't feel tired. Am thinking of booking a scan to see if everything is ok. Really hate early pregnancy, I just worry the whole time!

BrixtonBunny · 18/08/2014 09:22

Catellington getting snacks to much on is a good idea, thanks. It's funny isn't it, when you feel terrible all you want is to feel better, then when you feel better you worry like crazy! Try not to worry too much, it could be that your body is adjusting to the hormones? X

cinnamongreyhound · 18/08/2014 09:26

Congratulations willowave and superdooperzebra!

Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't Catren27! With ds1 I spent every morning dry wretching as I hadn't eaten all night and it did was make my throat and abs hurt but at times during the day although I hate being sick it did make feel better for a short period.

Not a lot a nurse can do i guess Misty414, good that she's not worried though Thanks

I worked in a lab BrixtonBunny so had to go out to eat and the fridge was right by my bosses office :( I was convinced everyone knew but they seemed genuinely surprised when I went in with my scan photo! I just nibbled food frequently, and tried to move slowly as that helped!

So my nausea is totally linked to hunger! If I eat something little an wait a bit it goes and then eat my normal breakfast I feel fine until I'm hungry again. It's also totally gone by 5.30 pm as well which is new and my aversion to coffee has returned! With ds1 we had breakfast at mcdonalds with dh's friend on the way to pick up a motorbike for him and I had to sit on a separate table to them as they both had large coffees!!

littleluna89 · 18/08/2014 09:44

I find that vomiting helps with the nausea a bit, but I have this thing about being sick, I'd rather feel sick than physically vomit, somehow made it through work yesterday despite a couple of dicey patches but then vomited at midnight (on the dot) waking up DD much to the frustration of DH.

Sounds like I'm moving department at work (infinitely closer to the loo which is fab) however my little secret that only 6 members of vital staff knew last week is officially an open secret! People keep staring at my bloated stomach or making bizarre comments unimpressed face

Hubby is 33, we've been together 7 years (married 2 late next month ) and live in Norwich.

Cassieyellow · 18/08/2014 09:50

Hi littleluna I am Norwich too!
I came downstairs this morning to the horrendous smell of fresh coffee. Cue me telling DH to open all the doors NOW!

littleluna89 · 18/08/2014 10:10

Ooh cassie if you're a bit late and I'm a bit early we could be in the hospital at the same time!

minipie · 18/08/2014 10:30

Ah found you all! and there are already three pages of the new thread Shock

Someone asked about contact lenses - yes mine have been a little dry though not too bad. Can't remember if this happened last time (I have forgotten so much!)

Nausea - I find eating helps, something sweet or carby but quite plain is best, crackers or cereal for example. Never actually got to the point of throwing up so can't say if that helps.

I'm not too bad with the nausea but I am SO TIRED - I spent a lot of yesterday asleep as my eyes were just closing, no choice!

Londoner here too.

bohoec · 18/08/2014 10:44

Second thread already? Wow. Can I join? EDD 27 April with #2. DD is 20 months so well have about a 2.4 year age gap.

I don't plan to tell anyone in RL anytime soon... I let it slip early the first time around and my pregnancy felt like it went on forever!

Could someone add me to the stats please? I'm on my phone. Thanks.

I've only read this thread - sounds like there have been a couple of scares. Hope you're all doing ok.

Thanks Congratulations everyone

FizzyBubbly · 18/08/2014 11:26

Morning all! Welcome and congrats Bohoec! I'm on phone too so can't update but I'm sure someone else will

All this talk of nausea is giving me flashbacks of the constant dry heaving I had with DD, not nice! Really feel for those already going through it. I expect mine will turn up in a week or so. Last time it lasted til 16weeks Sad Feeling knackered today and as DDs having a nap I thought I'd crawl back into bed too. Night night everyone!

Congratulations bohoec! You edd is my ds1's birthday :)

Don't wish it squattingneville!! I was sick from 5wks with both ds's this time I was fine until 6wks so thought I might have got away with it but no. It's definitely not as bad but it's making me grumpy already!!!

BitchPeas · 18/08/2014 12:09

Congratulations bohoec Flowers

I'm 5+2 and want some serious symptoms! It's all so
Wishy washy, my boobs are hurting on and off, usually only at night for a few hours, I've felt a little bit sick a few
Times and I'm a little bit tired and irritable. My anxiety of something being wrong and the scan is through the roof, and I still have 2 weeks and 2 days till it happens! I wish I could just enjoy it Sad what happened last time has made me super paranoid and anxious.

Someone come and slap some sense into me please Grin

BananaToast · 18/08/2014 12:13

I'm the same BitchPeas - I'm only 4 weeks so known I'm not likely to get any symptoms for a little while but I've got 11 days to wait until my scan and desperately trying to find anything to reassure me! The only thing that makes me feel pregnant is POAS every morning and seeing a slightly darker line than yesterday.

Lavendercandles · 18/08/2014 12:22

Congratulations to all the newcomers.

Enjoying the last few nausea few days before the horror sets in...!

Lindalove · 18/08/2014 12:25

Early pregnancy is quite worrisome isn't it... I'm 7 weeks 2 days now, and have a scan booked for this Friday when I'll be a day off 8 weeks. Really hoping that I can see a heartbeat, and its not a case of a 'blighted ovum' where there's no actual embryo which is a common cause of miscarriage. I suppose better to know than not to know.

I'm having my hair done this week.... can't decide what to do about hair dye. They say don't do it generally but the dye my salon uses is ammonia and chemical free... its called Davines. Anyone else had their hair dyed during the first trimester? Its my best mates wedding at the weekend and really want to look my best for her pics!

Symptoms for me remain at some tiredness, almost constant low level tummy cramps which I suspect is my uterus just stretching, and sore and growing boobs though my new mat bra is helping loads. No sickness though I did certainly get a wave of nausea yesterday partly because I think I was hungry.

Lindalove · 18/08/2014 12:26

Ah yes I've been married for 6 years, but we've been together since 2000 so 14 years. No rushing at our end! Husband is 50, we both live in North London.

Siarie · 18/08/2014 12:38

Oh wow I had no idea this existed until now! So please add me up
