Linda it must have felt amazing to find the heartbeat!

My spotting has been much lighter today and nausea arrived yesterday so I'm feeling a bit more positive about things. Going to go for a scan on Saturday and hoping for good news.

cinnamongreyhound · 02/09/2014 20:36

That's lovely LindaLove!

I really find exercise helps with constipation LadyNovember, some people find something like orange juice, bran flakes, prune juice, grapes etc work but I think plenty of water and a run gets me moving every time sometimes a bit sooner than I'd like.

Good news about the ms BananaToast Confused will be keeping everything crossed for you for Saturday!

CatRen27 · 02/09/2014 21:47

Wow linda can't believe you saw a heart beat! Amazing.

I'll be 9 weeks tomorrow and we have our booking appointment in the evening. Very excited! Although I ate some biltong in the office today without thinking (don't ask) and hoping it hasn't done any damage..!

Sleep well everyone and look forward to hearing your news

cinnamongreyhound · 02/09/2014 22:19

What's wrong with biltong?

LadyNovember · 02/09/2014 23:35

Been feeling really sicky today :( and this shift has literally gone so sloooow..the end is in sight though, only 25 minutes til I can head to my lovely bed! I bet most of you ladies are getting some much needed sleep! Thanks xx

Lauren82000 · 03/09/2014 06:54

Sleep what's that? Had one of those disaster movie dreams where no matter what you do the big bad is coming and it isn't fixable. Last night it was lava coming at the hotel my family were staying in and of course instead of running ASAP we had to pack and of course there was everything everywhere and every little item had to go in 3 bags how it all fit in the first place I do not know. Woke up a few times checked DH, then DD and tried to get back to sleep but that shitty dream wouldn't leave me alone. So now I'm up half an hour earlier than I should be (which I'm going to regret later when i fall asleep at my desk) and not even my 3 year old is up yet. Grr who knows what it meant but I could of done without it.

RiverRocks · 03/09/2014 07:02

Morning ladies. Posting from holiday. Finding the heat quite draining but the holiday has actually fallen quite well, killing the time between my booking appointment and 12 wks scan. Still feel rubbish, but not having to cook for myself definitely helps Wink

I wasn't sure about coming away but I'm so glad we did.

This pregnancy lark is annoying though. Can't drink, can't have ice, can't get too warm, can't eat some of the lovely food, have to eat every couple of hours or else I feel sick... DH has mastered the art of sneaking bread rolls out of the restaurant for me to eat first thing in a morning. Oh, and I'm doing well if I make it to 10.30pm on a night. Living the dream here Grin

RiverRocks · 03/09/2014 07:07

Lauren you've got to love the pregnancy dreams, haven't you. Mine last night was nearly the opposite of yours, with flooding in a local shopping centre, with jellyfish, and then a diesel truck randomly in the middle of it suddenly exploded. Maybe this is where most of the disaster movie ideas come from-the writer's pregnancy dreams/pregnant partner! Confused

dancestomyowntune · 03/09/2014 07:12

Morning ladies. Feeling very emotional this morning as I have just waved my oldest off for her first day at secondary school. She looks so grown up! I keep seeing the tiny baby we brought home from hospital when she was two days old and now she's a beautiful eleven year old, off to catch the bus on the next chapter of her life.

Mind you, it's taken my mind off the ms!

cinnamongreyhound · 03/09/2014 07:37

Mine go back tomorrow dancestomyowntune and ds2 is going to nursery so not all day but every day and I will certainly cry!

I had a random dream that kept coming back when I went back to sleep last night too Lauren82000. I was babysitting but for a man with no children and it was really odd hours and I had to get on a boat to somewhere in Europe with him and he kept trying to spike my drinks. I was pregnant in my dream but didn't want to tell him so just kept buying new drinks and avoiding him and his girlfriend who seemed just as keen to drug me!! They had also dressed me in a very tight, short dress and the toilets were hideous too!

Feeling very sick this morning :( 9 weeks today and still 4 weeks until my scan!

BonjourMinou · 03/09/2014 07:58

Hi all and thanks for the tips on milk! DD has started sleeping through a little longer this week so I'm desperately hoping she will gradually come off milk and let DH put her to bed by the time the next one arrives. I have resolved to mix feed the next one and make him share the bedtime routine so I don't end up in the same situation with the next one!

Have been really struggling with MS the last couple of days, needing to eat constantly and finding bf DD is making it worse. However as with last pregnancy I have found ice poles are the answer if I'm feeling nauseous!

littleluna89 · 03/09/2014 08:09

Good luck to everyone having scans today!

Had a dream that I was expecting two sets of twins last night and pretty much the size of a house >.<

I was at a gig last night, how I managed to stay awake until I got home at midnight I have no idea, and it was the best friends birthday, he'd seemingly been drinking since lunch time and accidently told a whole group of our friends that I'm pregnant >.< luckily they were fairly descrete, so the people not at the table at the time still don't know, and with my rather enthusiastic dancing people seemingly assumed I was as drunk as the people who'd been drinking all afternoon (it's good to know my dancing is awful all the time)

Later in the month we've got an all day and evening conference that I am one of the organisers for and unless I find a way to sneak off for a nap I very much doubt I'm going to make it through the evening :/

Morning sickness seems to be existing at 'heavy nausea with a touch of dry heaving' which is good.

Cassieyellow · 03/09/2014 09:33

Loving hearing about the dreams!
Littleluna (and any other in Norwich) - my scan letter came yesterday, exactly a week after booking in appt. It's on the 26th when I'll be 13 weeks.

roastpots · 03/09/2014 09:43

Morning everyone! Well time is ticking on and I am 10 weeks today. Hurray!!

I hope that your scan goes OK today bitchpeas. I had to have an internal at my scan at 9 wks but it wasn't awful. Mch better than a smear for example.

I'm glad you're having a good holiday river. I'm going away on Saturday with a big groupd of friends for holiday and am going to find the not drinking thing really annoying. I'm just going to tell them the reason the - totally can't be bothered making up excuses for a whole week and there's no way they'd believe me anyway!

DH said that I have been talking in my sleep lots, which I don't normally do. He said I generally sound very happy and sometimes laugh so I don't think I'm having horror movie dreams!

Hope you all have a good day x x

JeewizzJen · 03/09/2014 11:22

Those of you with older DCs, have you told them about your pregnancy yet? DS is 3, and we were planning on waiting until the scan to tell him, so we'd have pictures to help explain and also so that the risk of mc is less and I don't have to explain that to him, should it happen. But i must admit it's quite hard not telling him, I can't wait until we do! What are others doing?

BitchPeas · 03/09/2014 11:26

I saw a heartbeat!! Grin I'm measuring 7+1 which is just two days behind what I thought. He did an abdominal scan so no dildo cam thank god! Have another scan booked in with him at 10 weeks so he can check the brain and the skull, which is nerve wracking but I am letting myself get a little bit excited now. He said the risk of anecephaly happening again in 1 in 1000 which is only slightly higher than the general population and last time it was just probably random. So I can breathe a little bit easier Smile

JeewizzJen · 03/09/2014 11:30

Aw that's great news BitchPeas! So glad you can relax a little more now.

Wineandchoccy · 03/09/2014 11:38

Great news bitchpeas

I've got a awful headache today that I can't shift, I woke in the early hours with it. I feel like I have a hangover but obviously I don't.

My booking in appointment is tomorrow and I will be 8 weeks, I will have my scan date tomorrow as well as the midwife rings up and arranges it while you are there.

Walked round a market this morning and saw the most gorgeous hand knitted baby cardigans, blankets and booties, DH wanted to buy something but I don't want to jinx it by buying anything to early this time. Will be going back though if everything is ok and buying the cutest baby blanket with bunnies on it Grin

BananaToast · 03/09/2014 11:44

So glad for you BitchPeas, must be so lovely to see the heartbeat!

Hope the head improves Wineandchoccy. I keep browsing cute things online but like you won't be buying anything for a while yet!

CareBearWithFangs · 03/09/2014 11:48

Oh Bitchpeas I'm so happy for you Smile!

I like hearing about all the strange dreams too. And people's holidays Grin not jealous at all Wink.

Jeewiz I think we'll wait until after 12 weeks scan to tell DD. She's also 3. I'd rather wait until 20 weeks if possible so then we know everything will be ok but I think she'll figure it out before then anyway. She already knows something is going on and keeps asking me why am I poorly everyday. I think we'll show her the scan pictures and maybe get some books about new babies as well?

mswibble · 03/09/2014 12:13

Roastspots - im sleeptalking and sleep-weeing! I went to the loo the other night, not only in the dark which impressed OH, but with my sleep eye mask still on. He though I was awake until he saw I was still wearing it! There is quite alot to navigate round and yet I managed it without stubbing my toe on anything!
Ive been having little chats with him too that I have no recollection of in the morning!

HippoPottyMouth · 03/09/2014 12:15

That is awesome Bitchpeas Grin

JeewizzJen, I am going to leave it a while before telling mine, they're 6 and 3. I do want to know (as much as you ever do) that everything is fine before I tell them.

Wineandchoccy I hope your cold goes soon, it does suck when you can only take paracetamol. Hot lemon and honey can be nice if you're bunged up.

Hello to all new people Smile

I've finally got on the phone today to start making this thing official. Got doc appointment in two weeks to confirm pregnancy (! Seems a complete waste of GP time to me..) before I can register with midwife. Also booked my harmony test (and scan!) for three weeks on Friday.

Stuntman · 03/09/2014 12:29

Jeewhiz I told my 21-month-old he was going to be a big brother but I'm not sure he took it in! My other two are older so we'll tell them later on, probably after the 12-week scan.

prevlurker123 · 03/09/2014 12:46

Had anyone else taken another pregnancy test just to check it still comes up positive?! Ive got nothing to base my doubts on, but before I tell family this weekend im thinking of just double checking! Part of me still thinks I have made it all up, espesh since mw and scan appts still weeks away! Im currently 7w.
