Just Shagging - Thread 11 for Graduated Viroids!

JuniDD · 17/08/2014 06:27

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 11th grads thread...celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed Grin

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 27th outing.

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal here once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a secret facebook group, if you want to join, ask in-thread.

So, roll call below please, viroids! Smile

Ooh that's nice Juni! I wouldn't mind having that hanging about the house and you probably would get a few years worth of use out of it (I had a plastic table and chair for DS once he outgrew his high hair which we used for about four/five years)

I think I need to get out and start trying things out. I'm loathe to at the moment as I'm still waiting for the magical twelve weeks... I'm not at all superstitious but there still seems to be a mental block there.

JuniDD · 25/08/2014 19:22

I've got a pretty small boot so first task will be trying the chassis in the car!

This is the other issue with the high chair, we don't really have anywhere to put one, full stop. Interestingly, that chair/table set is probably the cheapest one on the page!

I've fallen down the high chair rabbit hole...Check this out. I didn't realise the market for highchairs was quite so...wide!

I don't think it's superstitious Pis. I think it's medically sensible as you genuinely don't know everything is ok until you've had the scan. I'm worse, I wait until the 20 week one Grin . except for bargains.

Pisghetti · 25/08/2014 19:29

Wow that a seriously cool high chair!

I had a quick browse on mothercare - decided I'm in love with the Stokke at £1333 Shock

wilmabedrock · 25/08/2014 19:30

Ha I love that Juni, although after seeing the state that high chairs get into, I would not be spending 300 quid on one! Looks pretty cool though. If you really have no space in general, you can get booster chairs which strap on to normal seats. They don't really need a high chair at the start of weaning anyway, unless I suppose you do baby-led weaning which would be messy.

RPopz · 25/08/2014 19:36

Haha Juni - sounds great, get me one too!!

Love the Pioneer - what colour did you get? And I'm sure you'll be fine... we somehow managed to fit a boxed Silver Cross Surf2, boxed car seat and boxed hood and apron pack in the back of our Ford Ka.... Shock Also hopefully will be getting a bigger car before minipopz arrives!! Am actually more worried it won't fit through the front door... bizarrely.

Really like the Expedior Pis - after I saw a lady on the bus with one one time... had to go home and Google it haha. Def not silly to wait til the mystical 12 weeks... I would barely even acknowledge the fact a baby might arrive til then... I am an eternal pessimist tho Wink

RPopz · 25/08/2014 19:37

Oooh I wasn't a fan of the Stokke when I saw it in real life... looks better on the website, if that helps Pis Grin

JuniDD · 25/08/2014 19:43

Bloody hell popz! I struggled to get the boxed Simplicity on the back seat! (got a Vauxhall Corsa) We've gone for Chilli Red which we think is good for boy or girl. How about you?

wilmabedrock · 25/08/2014 19:44

Me too popz. Although I prefer the term 'realist' Grin .

RPopz · 25/08/2014 19:48

Haha, it was some creative shoving on Mr P's part. And definitely no room for passengers!! We've got Sand... much to my Mother's disgust ha.

ZylaB · 25/08/2014 20:37

See, I think I'll just wait until you lot decide what's best, then copy you cos you all know loads more than me ;)

Scan on wed!

wilmabedrock · 25/08/2014 20:54

Good luck zyla!

RPopz · 25/08/2014 21:11

FINALLY! Grin

splodge77 · 25/08/2014 22:27

Hi all, just poking my head in and waving - got my BFP last week - due 3rd may. Hasn't really sunk in yet & no symptoms to speak of (except no AF!) but gearing up for the no booze lies I'm gonna have to tell in coming weeks at social thingummies! Argh I'm a crap secret-keeper.

Pisghetti · 25/08/2014 22:36

Hi Splodge congratulations! Having just returned from a three day wedding I can confirm that no one notices you're not drinking if you don't mention it. I walked around with a glass of champagne for a couple of hours (swapping with DPs half full/empty glass from time to time) and poured a glass of red with dinner that also got swapped at times. I drank tonic water the rest of the time. Having to drive and water infections are also useful excuses that tend not to be questioned too much Smile

wilmabedrock · 25/08/2014 22:53

Hi splodge, congratulations! Good luck with the drinking lies. Easiest way to be found out these days I think!

cookielove · 26/08/2014 03:20

Hello all.

Congratulations splodge

Good luck zyla

Arghhhh my milk is drying up, third pump of the day and nothing is happening! Sad times!

Good news Eli loves bottles!

ZylaB · 26/08/2014 06:35

Hey splodge congrats!

cookie the main thing is he's healthy and home. You know you did all you can, if you can't bf he'll be fine, as long as he's got his mummy!

cookielove · 26/08/2014 06:50

Thanks zyla I'm finding it easier now, to let it go! He is doing really well with the bottle and his jaundice is going. I just hope he has put on weight!

ZylaB · 26/08/2014 09:02

If he hasn't yet it sounds like he soon will. The important thing is he's eating well by the sounds of it. I'm so glad it all sounds like it's working out :)

ZylaB · 26/08/2014 09:07

Lots of sounds in that message, no idea why! :)

Minion · 26/08/2014 09:29

congrats splodge
fab news! Im craving a g&t girls. Sooo bad.
Thought you oughta know

littleluna89 · 26/08/2014 10:31

pis check out the Trenton delux travel system from mothercare! it's not as expensive as some other brands and ours has lasted fantastically, we'll get a buggy board for it once bubs arrives so DD can surf on the back. We've nicknamed it The Tank however, and for good reason, it's bulky and if we had a small car we'd never have been able to get it in the boot.

With high chairs we got a Hauck sit and relax which starts off as a lay back bouncer type thing (minus the bounce) however my friend has a high chair that converts into a wooden sit in rocking horse type thing which I'm a bit jealous of!

HungryHorace · 26/08/2014 10:43

Congrats, Splodge. :-)

I'm thankfully antisocial, so didn't have to do any no alcohol lying! And most people knew by the Christmas party, so that worked well (for DD).

With DS I was on mat leave and DD was only 5 months' old, so I wasn't doing much anyway!

Loving all the pram / car Tetris talk. :-)
