Just Shagging - Thread 11 for Graduated Viroids!

JuniDD · 17/08/2014 06:27

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 11th grads thread...celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed Grin

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 27th outing.

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal here once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a secret facebook group, if you want to join, ask in-thread.

So, roll call below please, viroids! Smile

Yeah, the digestion troubles really are a gift that just keeps on giving Hmm
Go with your gut Splodge (ha! Pun unintended!) - you've got a good while to see how you feel. If the pregnancy is smooth going you might want to go for another VB, but if there's other troubles a ELCS may seem like a better option? It depends how scared you are about the same thing happening again!

I loved the idea of a birthing pool during labour but I was induced with DD and they had a queue for the birthing pool, they put me in the bath because I was a whiney cow and my waters broke a bit lost the pessary in the bath water and everything causing my pain to skyrocket, go figure I'm one of the few freaks who found water made everything so much worse! Watching every episode of one born ever produced didn't prepare me for labour one little bit!

One of the girls in my Facebook April group found out she's having twins, I am suddenly insanely jealous! It's making the wait for my scan even worse, I'm only 8 weeks in and already feel insanely less in control than I did last time :/

laurenamium · 02/09/2014 09:59

Well I went to the sure start appointment. Took time off work, turned up 5 minutes early...they'd told me the wrong day Angry and it was definitely them and not me because I wrote it in my diary as they told me. They were also the most in discrete ever and so most of surestart now know Hmm so now I have to go back next week instead. More time off work Confused

littleluna89 · 02/09/2014 10:39

Oh no! What a pain in the ass! It seems sometimes like everything in pregnancy is set up to be as indescrete as possible, up to and including those bounty packs that basically have "look at this woman she's fucking pregnant! Stare and ogle people" written all over them in bright pink and blue!

Ended up missing my booking in last week because the receptionist told me it was at 2:40 rather than 8:40, I'd had my sister drag herself all the way over to look after DD and everything, so now I'm having to wait until 16th to book in.nhad the receptionist herself write all the details down this time so I can wave it angrily if the time is wrong again!

laurenamium · 02/09/2014 10:50

It's so annoying isn't it! It's like they don't even care either because our time clearly isn't valuable Hmm I'm incredibly grumpy today Grin

Pisghetti · 02/09/2014 11:29

Ah there went breakfast Hmm

RPopz · 02/09/2014 11:52

I want a water birth! Famous last words... Haha!

ZylaB · 02/09/2014 12:33

Starting to get a ridiculous liking for cornflakes Grin

I'm signed off for another 2 weeks now, consultant again tomorrow about my blood sugars, the corrections he told me to do made them go from being too low, to being way too high, sigh. So I adapted what he said some, I'll see what he thinks tomorrow. Fun fun.

Back to the cornflakes :)

ZylaB · 02/09/2014 13:15

Ok ladies, opinions please!

We're not doing the nursery yet, but quite like the idea of a mural on one wall, so we've been looking around for some ideas. What do you think of this one? : here

We'd need to get it in 3m by 2m I think then probably do the other walls a very pale hint of lemon?

I really like it but wanted some more opinions?

Grin
FurryScoob · 02/09/2014 14:28

That's brilliant zyla we've got a similar size Winnie the Pooh thing to cover 1 wall, easier to put up than wallpaper & saves painting time too!

Half way through my final week at work then 4 1/2 weeks annual leave before mat leave begins! Grin

ZylaB · 02/09/2014 14:40

You're on proper countdown now then furry :)

Nessalina · 02/09/2014 16:22

Lauren & Luna - how bloody inefficient!! Don't these doctors realise we have lives! Shock

Rpopz - I'm in the birthing pool hopeful club too, my hospital has three, but it seems like you've got to be pretty lucky to bags one!

Love the mural idea Zyla! Very cool! We've ordered some stickers for the walls from Amazon - these ones and these ones! Can't wait to put them up!

Just got back from the midwife - bump measuring a bit small so have to go back in two weeks for another measure. Not sure how exact a science it is to be honest - always seems like she just picks a random bit of tummy to measure from! When we went three weeks ago bump was measuring way above average, this time it's only grown 1cm, (up to 31cm at week 31) which is still above average, but not much growth since last time... Anyone else had growth weirdness? Trying not to worry - so long as he keeps squirming Smile

littleluna89 · 02/09/2014 16:44

ness I measured small at 32 weeks and was sent for a scan, DD was indeed a bit on the small size so we had another scan at 36 weeks and I got induced three days later (they rather helpfully hadn't actually warned me it was a possibility) but she was bigger than they thought, and she didn't need to nicu bed they'd been harping on about.

ZylaB · 02/09/2014 16:44

They're lovely ness!

cookielove · 02/09/2014 17:22

Love the murals and stickers :)

I too wanted a water birth, he coming early put a stop to that Hmm

Pisghetti · 02/09/2014 18:50

Zyla and Ness what a flipping good idea those are! Will have to investigate when I come around to the idea that the third bedroom can no longer be my wardrobe.

I got in the pool with DS but panicked when I didn't get any break between contractions and went for an epidural instead. Hopeful for this time around.

We have the blood donation people coming to work soon. I can't give when I'm pregnant can I? I couldn't find anything definite online!

wilmabedrock · 02/09/2014 19:40

That's cool zyla. We did wall stickers for MiniWil. Going to wait until after this one is born to decide as they're not in their room for a while anyway and in a terribly sexist way I'll probably do it different for a boy than a girl. Hadn't thought about a mural, good idea. I'm at the stage where you continually need to pee, even if you've just been. So annoying.

Ness at this stage of pg growth measurent isn't very accurate so don't worry. They said I was small last time then scanned me and said it was 9 1/2lbs. Neither was accurate!

You def can't give blood when pg.

ZylaB · 02/09/2014 19:42

I'm a bit emo at the moment, just went to bed and cried cos I asked DH for fish cakes for dinner, then didn't enjoy them and think the kitchen smells funny. DH is being lovely and I know I'm being pathetic, I need a slap lol

couldbeanyone · 02/09/2014 20:07

Hi all love the wall stickers, we have farm animals for dd so would like something else for baby.

Had a stressful day or two - started spotting yesterday, got worse this morning and gp referred me immediately to early pregnancy clinic. After a loooonnnggg wait in hospital had a scan and there is a sac and yolk which apparently is what should be seen at this stage. Got to go back in 2 weeks for another scan at which point if all growing normally there should be a heartbeat. Scary and have cried a lot but hopefully all will be ok...

Nessalina · 02/09/2014 20:46

Oh that's scary for you could Confused Glad they got you in for a scan though, sounds like all is ok. Bleeding is so common early on, but it is horrible, so take it very easy! Thanks

laurenamium · 02/09/2014 21:07

Wow I love that mural! And the stickers too! Definitely going to copy and do something similar when I move house after Christmas! Maybe for DD too if she wants one!

Could Thanks how very scary! Does sound positive though! How far are you?

couldbeanyone · 02/09/2014 21:11

Thanks for the support, scary day a d feel exhausted. Am just under 6wks so still early days.

couldbeanyone · 02/09/2014 21:14

Told it is probably implantation bleeding so not to get too concerned.

wilmabedrock · 02/09/2014 21:27

How scary for you could. Great that they took you in and scanned you though. My EPU couldn't have given a shit when I had bleeding. Fx all is well, sounds hopeful. Thanks

Must be bedtime.

Nessalina · 02/09/2014 23:53
