Just Shagging - Thread 11 for Graduated Viroids!

JuniDD · 17/08/2014 06:27

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 11th grads thread...celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed Grin

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 27th outing.

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal here once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a secret facebook group, if you want to join, ask in-thread.

So, roll call below please, viroids! Smile

Good luck today Zyla Grin

Car chases Juni Grin what did they say? I hope it was just an ashamed sorry!

Last night was my first ever feeling really rough moment. Throwing up and (tmi) I'm constipated so my stomach really hurts! So in my irrational head last night I start worrying about the bean and thinking something's wrong Hmm I need to relax and stop assuming the worst is going to happen!

Minion · 27/08/2014 09:29

ouch cookie! Hope the stitches/infection clears up quick sticks for you.

Have loadsa fun today zyla cant wait to hear all about the scan.

lauren I fell your pain sister. But don't worry, all this happened to each of us. The first 12 weeks are a proper mind fuck sometimes...'oh i hate being sick', 'wait, why arent I being sick?'. 'ooh i hate cramps...' 'where are my cramps?'
and so on... very confusing.

Girls, ive got a Q!
Im 25 weeks today (thats gone so fast) and im still not big. Everyone is exclaiming 'oooh minion, youre tiny are you sure youre 25 weeks?' etc... If i couldnt feel my papaya wriggling around Id agree with them... but im a bit concerned that im too small.
Is anyone else?
I am 5'9 with a long torso so has that got to do with it do you know?

Ahhh paranoia... ive missed you

JuniDD · 27/08/2014 09:34

How nice everyone is to you minion!! I don't think those type of remarks are helpful. I think if you're a bit taller baby has more room than on shorties like me. There was quite a sad thread a while back but the OP posted pictures of her at 27 weeks and then at 30. At 27 weeks she was slimmer than I am non pg and then at 30 weeks she'd really popped out. Everyone is different. You'll be measured at your next midwife appointment and she'll probably tell you you're perfect! My mum keeps telling me I'm huge but I measure spot on each time so I just ignore her. xxx

Juni, you loon...no more car chases!

Ness, I'd do the same as you. I'd be so pissed off. DH apparently can't see dirt though. I ended up cleaning the bathroom 2 days post-section and the kitchen the day after that as they'd not been touched while I was in hospital for 8 days and were filthy. I think some men have a particular dirt-blindness.

But if one person isn't working they really should be doing the housework (mat leave ISN'T not working, by the way).

Congrats to Could. Welcome!

Lauren, start taking lactulose now, it saved me during my first pregnancy. I didn't suffer with DS.

Zyla, good luck today.

Cookie, ouch, poor you. I hope the antibiotics work wonders for you.

Not much happening here really...just plodding on in the chaos of 2!

cookielove · 27/08/2014 10:20

min it took ages for me to look pregnant, didn't help I had a wobbly belly to begin with Blush I'm 5"8 and also have a long torso.

HungryHorace · 27/08/2014 10:24

I looked pregnant instantly. I'm 5'11" but with a short torso in comparison to my legs. I love to buck a trend. :-/

littleluna89 · 27/08/2014 12:28

minion I barely had a bump with DD suspect I won't be so lucky this time, I'm 7 weeks and already bloated up 2 dress sizes!

nes mrLuna seems to think I have elves who should help me clean and look after DD. If the house is clean then we haven't been out and he has a go at me for keeping her stuck in the house all day, if we're been out then half the house is a mess (but I'd like to point out perfectly hygienic!) and he has a go at me for that, it's a no win situation!

One of our friends came over the other day when mrLuna and I had both been off, I had been on DD duty all day and mrLuna had alternated between angry cleaning ("if I can do it why do you find it so difficult" whilst blissfully ignoring DD) and playing computer games. The first thing our friend said upon coming in was that mrLuna must have been off today because the house as actually clean! I almost flew at him I was so cross, said friend lives at home with his dad and has never lifted his hand to clean in his life, let alone trying to do so with a ball of chaos 'helping'!

pis I wouldn't describe it as light, but it's pretty good for off-roading.

ZylaB · 27/08/2014 13:22

Ok, scan was all good, my due date has been moved forward 3 days so I'm 6th march now :)

Everything looks good with the baby but they're having a panic about me, my blood sugars are too low and I'm having too many hypos, they sent the consultant in to see me to tell me to relax my control some. He said I shouldn't be working at the moment as I'll feel too rubbish and I've got to go back in to see them next week, so I guess they are concerned. I've been told to reduce my insulin, but the good thing is baby is fine, they're just worried about me having a seizure, despite me keeping telling them I can tell when my sugars are low and I haven't had one! But I guess I'd better listen to them. The other good thing was that at 12 weeks I'm past the congenital abnormalities that can be caused by high sugars, and mine have been really good during that phase so Ther shouldn't be any probs so he told me to chill out about it and go easier on myself hehe.

ZylaB · 27/08/2014 13:24

Oh and my daughter is awkward! She was in wrong position for the scan so I had to go drink more, walk. And jump up and down a bit. She moved so we could see properly but was really waving her arms and legs around, guess I'd disturbed her! :)

HungryHorace · 27/08/2014 13:31

That's good news re the scan, Zyla.

And not working at all? That's interesting. Have you gone part time yet?

Do you think they'll sign you off long term?

Pisghetti · 27/08/2014 16:30

Good news about the baby Zyla hope they can sort you out now x

I still don't have a date for the scan but I should get one through the post very soon. I noticed there was no mention of the NT scan in all the bumph so I asked the MW and apparently they stopped doing it in this area but they're reintroducing it on the 29th Sept - too late for me! Ah well. I called in sick this afternoon as I feel like total crap. MW suggested I eat more frequently. I'm eating loads as it is :-/

RPopz · 27/08/2014 17:43

Great scan news Zyla Hope your hypos settle down soon!

I'm not really showing much at 20 weeks Min. Could almost not be pregnant in some outfits!

Omg... was totally not being paranoid. Work-girl is in a mood with me because I'm not friends with her boyf on Facebook anymore... and so I've "made it personal" ... He isn't even my friend, she is!! And ignoring people at work and acting like a 12 year old is totally not personal right.... Hmm

minimooo · 27/08/2014 17:53

Hi everyone! I'm tentatively joining you viroids after getting my bfp last Wednesday. I'm only 5 weeks, so very early days (and a bit nervous after a mmc last year). Am too scared to join any of the other threads just yet, but there's lots of friendly faces here from the TTC JSers thread , so I feel a bit more confident about joining in!

Great to hear that baby is doing well Zyla, now they can concentrate on you a bit x

couldbeanyone · 27/08/2014 18:10

Hi minimooo! That's all three of us from last week's mammoth POAS day on here now Grin

ZylaB · 27/08/2014 18:59

horace I have gone part time but am signed off sick at the moment.

The other good bit was I've lost weight since I first went to the hospital, only 1kg but at least I haven't piled it on, there's enough of me already hehe :)

ZylaB · 27/08/2014 19:00

And welcome minimoo

wilmabedrock · 27/08/2014 19:13

Welcome minimoo, it's hard after a mc but just come to us when you're freaking out because you're nausea has disappeared for half an hour Grin .

Good news zyla. Listen to those doctors and look after yourself.

Min I know two people who have had to tell people they're pregnant at either 7 or 8 months because you couldn't tell. Everyone carries differently and you've probably just not put on any extra weight other than baby. Also if you had good abs before getting pregnant then you're bump won't show as much. When the midwife measures you, it's not wholly accurate so don't freak out if you are slightly smaller or bigger than they say you're supposed to be.

I'd love someone to tell me I looked small for dates!Blush

FurryScoob · 27/08/2014 21:02

Oooo loads of new graduated shaggers, hello & congratulations to you all!

zyla glad your scan went well, hopefully they can get you sorted now.

minion make the most of the small bump, my belly seems to grow over night now. I'm nearly 30 weeks & only just fitting behind the steering wheel in my car.

Nessalina · 27/08/2014 22:41

Hey mini! Congrats Smile We're a friendly bunch, you'll be ok here Wink

Glad the scan went well Zyla! It really sounds like your diabetes is going to be a big issue huh? Confused It sounds like you've got things under control though! And good that they're keeping you off work. When's the cut off when they can make you just go on mat leave early? I have a feeling it's not until about week 30.

That's weird Pis - surely you're entitled to a NT scan if you want one? Were you fussed?

She sounds like a twit Rpopz Hmm Ignore!!

Don't worry Min, every bump is different! I've had a few people say I'm small, others say I'm big for my weeks, everyone's got a different idea! You'll probably find you really pop out in the next month Grin

DH was a sweetie today Smile Sorted out loads of little jobs round the house that have needed going forever. Think my message got through!

Baby is moving really weirdly today Confused Rather than the usual swift thumps, I'm getting a sort of churning sensation - lots of surface movement! So weird!!

Pisghetti · 27/08/2014 23:00

Hi Mini I'd have to pay for a private scan Ness but I'm not too bothered. I get the blood test at week 16 anyway. What did surprise me was I'm going to be treated as a primigravida because I had DS so long ago. The fact I had a normal birth is taken into account in deeming me low risk (at the moment) but I'll be seen more often through the pregnancy.

Pisghetti · 27/08/2014 23:01

P.s. Glad Mr Ness has pulled his socks up Smile

ZylaB · 28/08/2014 06:42

ness I'm not sure it might be a month before EDD, I'll have to look it up. I always knew the diabetes would make it hard but I'm under no doubt it'll be worth it, she's a longed for baby :). Glad mr ness took the hint!

Minion · 28/08/2014 06:49

Hi mini and congratulations! Welcome to the chatterbox thread, it moves so fast nowadays!

Thanks ladies, very reassuring. I've got my 25 week appointment this afternoon so shall hopefully be patted on the head, told all is well and sent on my merry way... Famous last words.

Ooh the churning feeling. Yes it's kind of like baby is bored of that position so completely flips over onto their other side, isn't it? Like a nervous belly?

What times does everyone's beans get active? Mine wakes up with me, we have an hour or so squirms and kicks. Then settles down.p, coming back to it around 11-2 then again at7pm.
I've yet to have the all night jabs and rolls.

wilmabedrock · 28/08/2014 09:30

Mine seems to be just when I get home from work. Although could be I'm too busy during the day to notice. I'm so tired today, it's going to be a long one Sad .

cookielove · 28/08/2014 12:12

So I was meant to have a consultant appointment today, and scan and stuff. I assume they would have been notified that I had had the baby or should I try and get a hold of somebody?
