Just Shagging - Thread 11 for Graduated Viroids!

JuniDD · 17/08/2014 06:27

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 11th grads thread...celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed Grin

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 27th outing.

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal here once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a secret facebook group, if you want to join, ask in-thread.

So, roll call below please, viroids! Smile

Dunno cookie, surely it's got to be in your notes though?

ZylaB · 28/08/2014 15:34

I've been very god avoiding caffeine completely, but I've just had a diet coke, soooo nice!

Lol, I'm easily pleased :)

ZylaB · 28/08/2014 15:35

Good, not god obviously hehe

JuniDD · 28/08/2014 19:06

Congrats on your scan zyla & glad Mr ness has pulled his socks up!

The baby was just moving so I felt my tummy and somehow moved something that felt like an arm/leg myself. Shock Feel a bit squicked I have to say! It usually wakes up with me (whenever that is...5am loo trip?) and then has a bit of a kick in the morning, around lunchtime and then evenings...usually when I've been sat down for at least 15 minutes.

Hope your day was ok in the end wil.

Attempting some hypnobirthing homework from the book...can't be bothered!

Ewwwww! Weirdness Juni! Shock lol, babies moving is freaky. Mine has started giving me a few kicks in the morning and the odd one through the day, but tends to really wake up about 7ish whilst I'm chilling, moves about constantly til bedtime!

wilmabedrock · 28/08/2014 19:50

Hurrah, home and showered. Is it bed time yet?

Nessalina · 28/08/2014 22:10

Well if it wasn't then, it is now! Grin

wilmabedrock · 29/08/2014 07:28

I had that lovely feeling this morning of thinking I had to get up for work and then realising I didn't. Shame it was at 6am though! I'd love someone to arrive at my door with a bacon roll.

Pisghetti · 29/08/2014 07:28

Morning viroids. I'm just wondering what do you do about clothes when you're sort of in between looking fat and looking pregnant? I can't do any of my work trousers up so I'm now living in skirts but some of these are getting close to being retired for the foreseeable. Obviously it's far too early to be looking at maternity clothes but I'm probably looking at a month or two of transition and I'm not sure what to do?

Pisghetti · 29/08/2014 07:30

Oh I love that feeling Wil! Opening eyes at 6am on a Saturday and rolling over to go back to sleep Smile

wilmabedrock · 29/08/2014 07:54

Is it too early for maternity clothes if your normal ones aren't fitting? Unstructured dresses and tights/leggings are probably easier than trousers. Atm I am wearing mostly maternity trousers although have some of those printed trousers with elasticated waist which are fine. Or stretchy dresses. I need to shop though.

couldbeanyone · 29/08/2014 08:15

I know I went into maternity trousers for work v early on around 12 wks with my first as couldn't do work ones up - got some under bump with elasticated waist, a relief as so much more comfortable! Only issue with wearing them early was the boredom of wearing same ones for six months!!! Although as was due in summer later on just used my usual size linen trousers with drawstring waist which sat under bump easily. But it's prob getting too chilly for those now.

Pisghetti · 29/08/2014 08:28

I don't have a bump yet - I seem to be 'thicker' in the waist if that makes sense? I've put on a little weight over the past year or so, so it was never going to take much to put my work trousers on the sidelines.

Dresses are a good idea Wil. I might have a look around in the sales for floaty dresses I can wear with thick tights and a cardi as it gets colder.

Ha Could I only had one pair of 'proper' mat trousers and one blouse with DS - everything else was just super stretchy. I wore the trousers to death! In fact I still have them somewhere.....

littleluna89 · 29/08/2014 08:56

pis I have gone up a dress size (or three) in normal clothes, I really don't want to spend out on maternity clothes until I've had the scan, though I never really stopped wearing my maternity tops from last time, so that does make things easier :p

RPopz · 29/08/2014 09:33

I felt like I was thicker round the middle quite early on... though no one commented! I had a lot of floaty tops and elasticated tube skirts/ maxi skirts for work. Linen trousers are quite forgiving round the waist too. And the hair bobble trick worked for a while on trousers/ jeans but you need long tops really!

littleluna89 · 29/08/2014 09:59

Norwich mums do you remember what kind of wait you had between your booking in appointment and your dating scan?

I was given the wrong time for my booking appointment and the next time they can fit me in is 16th when I'll be 11 weeks, and I'm concerned with the number of expectant mums all needing to use NNUH I'm not going to be able to get a scan for ages...

wilmabedrock · 29/08/2014 14:34

Up here they book your scan date before you have your booking app so maybe you're already booked in? Am pretty sure they have to give it to you by around 14 weeks so sure you can kick up a fuss if they don't.

Pisghetti · 29/08/2014 15:06

I had my booking in this week at 11 weeks. They don't give a scan date here until after the booking in but she assured me it'll happen in the next two weeks. Most people will have their booking in between 8-11 weeks so I guess they're always working to a fairly short timeline anyway.

Is there a baby boom in Norwich at the moment? There is amongst my friends/family at the mo - I have one friend due in Dec, another in Jan, my step niece is expecting her third in Feb and a friend's brother is too then I'm in March. Once I'm 'out' I'll be waiting to see who follows me in April/May! Watch out people, the Welsh are multiplying!

littleluna89 · 29/08/2014 15:18

wil last time round my scan was booked over the phone during my booking in appointment, I seem to recall all of my scans were apart from my 20 week one which was booked at the hospital after my 12 week scan.

pis within two weeks isn't bad, I'm just rubbish at confrontation so I'm terrified I'll end up being given my scan for 16 weeks or something equally late and be completely incapable of putting my foot down about it.

I have no idea if there's a boom, but there are at least 7 other people at work who are pregnant, and I know of a lot of people who are trying. Last time round everyone seemed to be pregnant, I had to go to North Waltham ( a good half hour drive) for my antenatal classes and they couldn't even fit me in until about 5 weeks before DD was due, I made it to one class before she was induced early anyhow!

laurenamium · 29/08/2014 15:35

I've just caved and booked an early private scan to make sure everything's okay as I'm constantly on edge! It's not for another 3 weeks but its something to aim towards at least Blush

wilmabedrock · 29/08/2014 15:41

I don't like making a fuss either so know what you mean.

I am so tired. I really need to clean up and go get some dinner but feel totally exhausted. I really need this nesting instinct to kick in.

wilmabedrock · 29/08/2014 15:42

If it sets your mind at rest it's totally worth it Lauren.

splodge77 · 29/08/2014 17:49

Hi viroids, Urgh feeling sorry for me self today with an evil ear infection. Also no pg symptoms at all yet so naturally feeling paranoid. Do we still do hooyas? Think I need one as only 5 weeks along. Should just enjoy the no nausea while it lasts. Last time I was sick as a dog by 7 weeks. Happy weekends all x

laurenamium · 29/08/2014 17:50

Splodge I feel exactly the same as you! Because I haven't had any sickness and with DD the toilet was my best friend I keep getting worried! Glad it's not just me!

littleluna89 · 29/08/2014 18:10

splodge I had very little int he way of symptoms with DD, had basically convinced myself it was all in my head until i got to the first scan and there was an actual baby in there, then shit got real :P This time round I've been very close friends with the toilet bowl since I hit 6 weeks, so (as my mum likes to say in-between having kittens about everything that might go wrong) "no two pregnancies are the same" I just rather wish they were, I thought I knew what to expect this time round!
