Kate... High five! 30 Weeks! woohoo!!!

SK28 · 23/10/2014 11:30

Thanks Calling - I didn't know there is/was a ballerina called Isadora but elegant and ladylike are good things and what I was going for! I think Dora is a cute nn for a little one too. I think we've more or less agreed on Andrianna (Annie) Belle for a girl now but Isadora Grace and Florence Rose are my top two for if we have a subsequent daughter (don't even know if this one's a girl yet though!) or if this one is a girl but doesn't look like an Andrianna :) My husband is pushing for Andrianna so I get more say next time :)

KateTheHuman · 23/10/2014 13:39

Yay high fives cheshire!

HenriettaTurkey · 23/10/2014 13:55

Sk - look up Isadora Duncan. She was quite something!

Hello,

Just trying to catch up on here and on the Facebook group as the last week has been manic - I hope everyone is ok?

I have been feeling lots of whooshing feelings this morning (like being on a fairground ride). I'm hoping the little tinker is turning around a bit as all my kicks have been low down so far.

I am continuing to lose the plots it seems...putting hair serum on my lips rather than lipbalm, dropping my wee sample in a coffee shop pre maternity appointment Blush (dont think anyone noticed), and my latest is that I turned round to my cat earlier and asked him if he wanted a cup of tea Confused Eh?!! My husband wasn't even in the house so no idea who I thought I was asking.

I like the name Isadora! Adrianna was one of the names on our girl shortlist too, along with Giovanna and Arabella. Rose was also going to be the middle name if we had gone for Georgia for a girl but I think we're saving that one for a (possible) future one! We've narrowed ours down to two names but I dont think we'll pick until she's here.

Thanks Emma! Ours will be Andrianna which is a little harder to pronounce but quick to get used to! Giovanna and Arabella are gorgeous too.

Hormones and baby brain all over the place here too. I'm working at home today but can't actually get my head focused at all so it's turned out to be a real waste of a day Sad

CallingAllEngels · 24/10/2014 14:35

Just noticed we're on page 40 so need a new thread soon!

Nursery should be almost finished by the end of tomorrow so I can get all the bedding washed and stored and sort out the rest of the stuff in the attice, but all the newborn clothes are washed and so teeny tiny Smile

5weeks till maternity leave and still a lot of prep to do for handover, but will do some more tomorrow.

montymonty · 25/10/2014 21:56

Hello everyone! I'm 29 weeks pregnant with a boy.

chiruri · 26/10/2014 13:01

Hi, nice to meet you all! I'm currently 28+6 with DC1. It's all getting a bit surreal, now.

cheshirem2b · 26/10/2014 16:02

Hello new bus ladies!
Hope everyone has had a nice weekend!
We've been for a weekend in London - was very busy and hectic and I am exhausted now so feel I've overdone it a bit (hoping an early night will fix that)!
Off to collect the cats from the cattery in a bit and hopefully have a chilled out evening in with DH and the cats.
Tomorrow marks the 5weeks left in work marker! Hurray!

Hi everyone. I joined this thread a good couple of months ago then kind of got distracted! Exciting to see everyone counting down to maternity leave, I've got eight weeks until mine (well, a couple of weeks holiday beforehand) starts but I'm considering going a bit sooner as I have plenty of holiday and still suffering migraines. It's like waiting for the six weeks holidays at school, it can't come soon enough!
I too had to splash out on a maternity coat, an asos parker but it makes me feel ginormous when I wear it. Keeps me warm and dry though and it does up!
Good to see how everyone is progressing and how fast the months are speeding by. And congratulations to LadyC!

Ooft, thinking about mat leave already! I've still got 7 weeks to go before I go on annual leave prior to starting mat leave. Really hoping I don't need to go early, but recent health scare might force me.
It's hilarious but I've been wearing my maternity coat for months already. I bought it in New Look of all places, but it's so comfy and flattering!

SK28 · 26/10/2014 20:49

Hi ladies! And hello to new names!

I hope nobody minds if I just share a post I made in the For Sale section of MN in case anyone here is interested...

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/pushchairs/2219504-For-Sale-Brand-new-unused-Chicco-Urban-complete-travel-system-325-RRP-600

It's a brand-new, unused Chicco Urban travel system (chassis, seat unit (which adapts to pram-style without needing separate carrycot), colour pack in emerald/turqoise, car seat plus base unit and adaptors, raincovers x 2).

It's a great and versatile system but just a little bit too wide for our narrow Victorian terraced house doorways hence us changing our mind so quickly after receiving it and before using it at all. It retails at full price for £600, but we just want to make our money back and are asking £325.

More details on the other thread or just let me know if you're interested and/or want to know more.

Thanks :)

deuscat · 26/10/2014 20:59

I've not posted on here for ages. Hope everyone is well! Lots of new names is nice to see.

I'm 29 weeks and really starting to feel 3rd tri tiredness. I'm jealous of people talking about going on maternity leave in a few weeks time. I've got 7.5 weeks left till I start my leave. The countdown is on!

Pesto11 · 27/10/2014 07:48

1st day of half term and I'm off to buy all the things for my hospital bag! Time to get organised!

KateTheHuman · 27/10/2014 07:57

Good morning folkses!! Overnight I've turned into the snot monster from hell! Haha. I was up every hour at least not being able to breathe. Bleurgh. Whooping Cough vaccine later so that'll cheer me up........hmm.
