LadyC your story is amazing! Can't wait to see updates on how your little one is doing. In the meantime try to sleep and look after yourself as well - what a shock for you all.

Pesto11 · 18/10/2014 08:09

Wow wow wow!!!
Congratulations!!!
Good luck with it all. Agghhhh... You have a baby!!!! X

CallingAllEngels · 18/10/2014 08:24

Huge congratulations ladyc. Glad you and baby are well.

Anyone else freaking out about not being ready yet?! Our nursery is an empty room (though painted) and dh's tools are still sitting there, cot is flat pack in the hall, everything's still up in loft, cupboard and draws/changing table are in ds's room filled with his stuff and ds's new furniture is is in boxes.

Just have to get ds's birthday party tomorrow out the way (and tidy house for visitors) and then I can get to it as on half term.

29+6!

SK28 · 18/10/2014 09:01

LadyC Thank you for sharing your story, and what a story! I'm so glad baby boy is doing well all things considered and you sound remarkably together for someone who has had such a shock! How is your DH? Don't worry about the conversation with your boss - you're a mum now! How amazing is that!

RPopz · 18/10/2014 09:18

Thanks for the update LadyC! 8-9cm and you didn't realise you were having contractions! Shock What an amazing lady xxx

I am defo counting down the days till may leave
We haven't bought a single thing so now I'm writing a list ready to start ticking off next weekend
Car seat (at least decide on which one we want)
Pram/buggy
Moses basket (cot can wait)
Hospital bag
Baby clothes
Mummy clothes!
Aaghhhh

cheshirem2b · 19/10/2014 16:11

This baby stuff is getting real... I've tidied some of our kitchen cupboards and had a shelf put up for... Steriliser! The first bit of baby stuff is in the main house (rather than just the nursery)!
I've realised I can't do my hospital bag yet because the bag I want to use we need for going to London next weekend so I'll do that once we are back.
Pesto have fun shopping! I loved getting all the baby things! Can't wait yo collect the Pram though... Exciting weeks ahead!
Hope LadyC and her little man are doing well!

Roserouge · 19/10/2014 17:26

Congratulations LadyC. Glad that baby is doing ok and hope that things continue to progress well for you both.

Hope everyone else is well. Haven't been on here in ages so have been catching up on the thread. Wondering how I join the fb group, think it'll be easier for me to keep up as I'm on there more than I am on here. Who do I need to message?

Hope everyone is enjoying this weekend, not looking forward to going to work tomorrow, feeling quite tired today.

SK28 · 20/10/2014 08:15

Rose, I think you need to send a friend request to Jan Babies and a message with your MN name. Then you'll be invited to the group. I think that's how it worked anyway!

cheshirem2b · 20/10/2014 08:15

How is it Monday already? I've had 9 hours sleep and am still tired! I think the second trimester glow has ended and now on the final slog! I feel like I'm in a strange limbo between "its ages until baby will arrive" and "Argh! It's only 9/10 weeks until due date"!
How's everyone else this fine Monday!

Tea-break = baby name time.

What do you all think of the name Isadora? It's Greek and I really love it but it does remind me of Wizadora from TV (I just can't decide if that bothers me or not!).

Please be honest Smile

Bobbingalongnicelyalmost · 20/10/2014 13:25

Congrats LadyC Thanks Thanks
Hello to you all. How do I join the facebook group?
Soo tired yesterday but on Sat it was our wedding anniversary so we had a day out which involved a bit of walking....im obviously not as mobile as I thought and my pelvis was quite tender afterwards.
The best thing is though that my youngest DD who is 20 months slept through last night Grin I woke this morning feeling like my bladder was going to burst as I'm normally up in the night with her and then nip to the loo several times. I got our of bed and there was a chorus of bones clicking and crunching, it felt good but my body is not used to lying still in one place for 8 hours.
I have my suspicions that DD will start sleeping through just as this baby will be born....

I also haven't had morning sickness since 15 weeks and this morning I was sick....maybe that was the sleeping through too Smile

Pesto11 · 21/10/2014 03:12

I haven't had Any sickness throughout this pregnancy but these last 2 weeks I've felt really queasy and sickie... Interesting..,
Also with you in the 10 weeks is AGES away/ 'aagghhhh Only 10 weeks time will fly by' feelings
Hope you are doing well ladyC x

KateTheHuman · 22/10/2014 07:30

Totally tired and cold today. I just want to hibernate until Christmas! :(

KateTheHuman · 22/10/2014 07:31

And messaged you Bobbing. :)

SK28 · 22/10/2014 07:33

Kate, me too! Everyone talks about being too hot in pregnancy but I am cold all the time and especially today! TWO jumpers, scarf, coat, warm tea and porridge, still cold!

KateTheHuman · 22/10/2014 10:40

It was horrible driving to work because I had to put the heating on but that was making me more tired! Can't bloody win!! :(

cheshirem2b · 22/10/2014 16:33

The weather is rubbish isn't it? Cold and damp!

I've ordered a Maternity coat today - I finally gave in - and hopefully it will arrive tomorrow so I have it for the weekend away in London!!! Exciting!
Bump is feeling very heavy again today - I think it's when baby lies in a certain position - but it's making me feel very big and slow! Ah well... on the final slog ladies!

SK28 · 22/10/2014 19:08

My mat coat arrives on Friday :) Should have been Monday but our idiot postman tends to put a 'something for you card' through the door without actually trying to deliver, so I was in but didn't get it :(

CallingAllEngels · 22/10/2014 19:39

Oooh, my maternity coat is on its way as well SK though don't reckon I'll get it till Friday at the earliest.

I just gave in cheshire because nothing does up and I don't think I can make it to the end of December without a coat!

pesto could it be heartburn? I've started getting it more and more the last week.

I love Isadora SK - reminds me of the ballerina...elegant and ladylike and dignified.

My B12 levels are back up to normal now so no more injections Smile

On half term and have just had 2 child free days (normally at work so DS was at nursery) and have done loads of schoolwork (planning for maternity leave) and the nursery is coming along.

KateTheHuman · 22/10/2014 19:52

Got home and napped for 2 hours. Needed that so much!!!

KateTheHuman · 23/10/2014 06:59

Ah 30 weeks today. Crikey. [SHOCK]

KateTheHuman · 23/10/2014 07:00
