So sorry to heartily had a scare sprout but very glad you had a happy ending. The worry never seems to go does it!! After my scare last week I have been back on knocker watch all the time! Don't think I will properly relax until baby is here and then I'll get a whole new lot of worries! Take it easy :)
Jut watched bake off. I'm now massively craving brandy snaps!! Arggghhhh!! Actually don't think I can sleep until I at least get a sugar fix and we have nothing in the house. Such a dilemma!!

ChineseFireball · 13/08/2014 21:17

Eeek Sprout - glad things are ok.

Today I have learned something. It's "chih-poe-tlay". Thank crunchie for Mel. And yesssssss brandy snaps! Good call, Decmummy :)

Ha ha ha... Typos... Knocker watch :) made myself laugh, of course I meant knicker watch :) brilliant!
Also it was supposed to say sorry to hear that! I hate predictive text sometimes.
On another note my very Dh has gone to the shop to get me some treats :) I chose a good one!

SK28 · 13/08/2014 21:27

Finally found you all! I've been searching for the new thread all day on my phone and it wasn't finding anything, but found you tonight on my laptop :)

How was the pg yoga class Vivi? I can't wait for my first one in September so am really keen to hear how you found it. Are you a yoga newbie or have you done it before?

Belated congrats, auntie Mad! Enjoy newborn cuddles :)

Thanks for all the reassurance the other day about baby movements and placenta positions etc. I'm just impatient to start feeling Baby K but definitely feel less concerned now (just a bit envious!!).

Anyone else getting really bad lower back pain? Every time I get up in the morning or up off the sofa I'm hobbling like an old lady...

17+2

ViviPru · 13/08/2014 22:53

SK28 the pregnancy yoga was very gentle and relaxing. A world away from what I'm used to, I usually do a non-pregnancy fitness yoga class which is classic yoga poses but in a fast-flowing routine that's pretty full-on.

This class was very pregnancy-centric and meditative. It felt worthwhile if not particularly physically demanding! Although I had quite an achey back all day yesterday and I felt that the stretching in the class definitely eased that so hopefully it'll do the same for you!! It's good as a supplement to other classes I'm doing and will definitely go back.

rumisyum · 14/08/2014 07:18

Morning! Thanks for the new fred chinese!

Sorry to hear about your scare sprout, but so glad it's all OK! The worry never ends, does it?

And I'm sorry the consultant appt was so awful sleep. Sad Hopefully you can get some guidance re the best delivery option for you & the little one & feel more secure.

All this talk about exercise is a lot healthier than the previous talk of cake. Grin I've still been jogging (very, very slowly), swimming & DVD-ing, but not much for the last 10 days or so due to generally feeling a bit down (about work). And I'm sure my fitness levels have plummeted in that time! But I got off my enlarging arse & did some yoga last night & that felt wonderful. I think I'm finally going to start my local yoga class soon too, as their summer break is ending soon. I'm sure it won't be much exercise either Pru, but I'm looking forward to meeting other preggos & I do love a good chilled out yoga vibe. Thanks for the motivation to keep moving, ladies. Too easy to get welded to the sofa...

We're having a party this weekend, which I'm really looking forward to, but also kind of dreading the prep - I'm so tired lately! Early bed for me for the rest of the week. Got to get my beauty sleep on.

18+1! And lots of little wriggles lately! Time flies...

KateTheHuman · 14/08/2014 07:35

Morning all! 20 weeks today and 1 day til the scan. EEEEEEK!!!!!

missdonsol · 14/08/2014 07:35

Morning all. So glad all is well after your scare sprout.

I signed up for preggo yoga and got a dvd too. Tried the dvd and got frustrated by how weak I am :( Promptly cancelled my yoga class as I didn't want to do that in front of others.
Started belly dancing instead and it's right up my street! Apparently it's safe and useful in later pregnancy too so I'm going to try to ket it up.

missdonsol · 14/08/2014 07:37

Halfway there kate! Hope scan goes well tomorrow. Mine is 2 weeks today and time as slowed down again.

SK28 · 14/08/2014 07:49

Thanks Vivi, I'm a yoga newbie so gentle pg yoga sounds right for me and a bonus if it eases my back ache.

My fave exercise pre-pg was trampolining but it's not a pg-friendly one and my club just closed down anyway :( I'm no runner and dislike gym, last time really took it out of me too much. Is spinning pg-friendly, does anyone know?

KateTheHuman · 14/08/2014 08:17

Thanks miss! I'm sure your scan will come quicker than you think!!

KateTheHuman · 14/08/2014 08:20

I'm found a swimdress I like. It looks like it has the best cover and support. But it's £55!! I can afford it but meh. But if it gets me swimming maybe it's worth it. But £55! Confused

cheshirem2b · 14/08/2014 08:21

Kate go for it with the swimming dress. I spend a shitload on exercise gear - it's the one kind of clothing I can fully justify the spends for - and if it's that expensive you'll be more motivated to get a sue out of it!

20 weeks today too!! Grin I LOVE the owl comparison! Owls are ace, we hear them in our garden too, Mad. Although at the moment you struggle to hear them over the din of the woodpeckers!

Camsie Have a look at the New Look supersoft skinny maternity jeans - I love them so much I've bough them in two colours already. I've just got the black 'relaxed skinny jeans' from the online Next clearance section, I've not tried them on yet though. They were only £14 so I thought worth a punt.

Rum if you're anything like me you find it impossible to just passively have a party, you won't be able to help yourself but actively do the party! We're off to stay with DH's BF & wife this weekend; they're the final important close people we need to tell about the Prulet. I think they might be a bit shocked we've left it so long to tell them (apart from physical distance we're very close, godparents to their girls) but I think they'll understand when they realise we wanted to tell people in person and there's only a small circle of close friends and family who we've told. I can't WAIT till they know so we don't have to be careful about who says what on Facebook!

20 weeks today! (20+5 by scan)

ViviPru · 14/08/2014 09:36

*Use not sue!! Let's hope you don't find Sue in your swimming dress!

KatnissEvermean · 14/08/2014 09:42

I've had a busy few days and haven't had a chance to catch up with the thread or Facebook, I've missed a lot!

I haven't really done much exercise since being pregnant. I was kickboxing three times a week before so I feel like I'm being very lazy, but I just haven't had much energy at all. I have been meaning to go to some free antenatal exercise classes but I'd have to walk half an hour to get there and I just haven't had the motivation. I walk a lot, and my job is really active so I don't feel too bad about it!

I am having the lower back pain, especially if I have been overdoing things; I need to learn my limits. My DP has had to help me up off the sofa a few times!

Love the idea of having a Transformer Owl in the next few weeks!

I think I have started to feel some movement in the last few days, mostly when I'm in bed. I'm looking forward to feeling it more so I know for definite that it is my baby and not wind or something.

I am feeling so happy recently! I'm really looking forward to our little family, and everyone I know has just been so lovely to me recently. I've had so any offers of help, from lifts to work from a colleague if I need an extra half an hour in bed, to help painting, to generous offers of buying expensive things from our families. And my DP is wonderful. I've had crazy pregnancy hormone tears but now I feel like I've got crazy pregnancy hormone happiness. Anyone else?!

(18+4)

KateTheHuman · 14/08/2014 09:43

Haha Vivi Sue better not be in my dress after I spend that much! Cheeky cow!

I think I'm gonna order it after my scan tomorrow.

KateTheHuman · 14/08/2014 09:46

Aww Katniss you're definitely in a happy place! Congratulations! GrinGrin
