no more than the rest of us - however what would we laugh at?

I was just saying to my colleague, 3 months of work as December doesn't really count as a month because all spare thoughts are on Christmas.

So really only 3 months of impersonating a functioning human before Christmas mode, and then it will be babies or nesting mode. How much better does that sound than hitting half way!?

Loobyloo893 · 27/08/2014 18:50

Scan was all fine ladies. Sonographer was horrible but baby is fine so that's all that matters. She confirmed I have an anterior placenta so at least I can stop worrying about lack of movement for a while Smile

Pesto11 · 27/08/2014 21:15

Brilliant news about your baby scan looby
I was told I have an anterior placenta- I'm hoping that explains the randomness as to why I feel movements some days and nothing other days??
Went to kiddicare Enfield today- hardly anything left!
I need to start choosing Cots and prams etc as I know once school opens next week I'll be bogged down with planning and marking etc... And 3 months till December ... Agghhh... Must get organised... I need to write lists!

ReadyForDinner · 28/08/2014 04:11

So got up for a wee in the middle of the night and can't get back to sleep. Thinking about my imminent return to work from mat leave Confused . Thought I'd drop by and say hi and take my mind off it. Glad everyone is doing well bar the virus' and the cramps.

My weekend of camping was brilliant though it set my siatica off earlier in the week, much better now though.

Three months to December! Barmey! I hope it goes quickly, the novelty value of going back to work might help with that! clouds and their silver linings eh!

Just had a swift kick to remind me little one is doing ok in there. Feeling much more these days which is reassuring.

Going to have a go at getting back to sleep. Not going to hang around M.net all night - honest! Night all!

cheshirem2b · 28/08/2014 08:11

Well I went to bed at 10 last night, got to sleep no problem and alarm set for the morning. dh was out with friends and didn't come in until gone 1am so woke me up then! Back to sleep again until one of the cats woke me up at 5am! Then couldn't get back to sleep. lay in bed until 6ish and dozed off and now I can't get motivated! typical!
22w today! Grin

KateTheHuman · 28/08/2014 09:21

Morning all! My tooth pain seems to be getting less. Antibiotics finally kicking in hopefully! I feel so bad at the moment. Half of me feels like I'm killing my baby with drugs but I don't have a choice. Way too much pain to cope with. The sooner the pain stops the better! Midwife appointment tomorrow so hopefully she'll find a strong heartbeat. I'm so annoyed with myself. :(

22 weeks today!

Loobyloo893 · 28/08/2014 10:04

Glad ur starting to feel a bit better kate. Surely they wouldn't prescribe them if they were dangerous?

KateTheHuman · 28/08/2014 10:15

Well I kinda had to ask for them. The dentist's version of painkiller was prodding my tooth and putting a blob of white where half my tooth had broken off. It made it worse. So when I asked for antibiotics he told his assistant to make a note he'd warned me about taking medication. I have no idea what the warnings were as he did no such thing but from previous experience of an abscess antibiotics is the only thing that gets rid of it. He won't do a root canal til after the birth so there wasn't really any option. It just hurt so much. :( My teeth suck!

KateTheHuman · 28/08/2014 10:16

Oh and he gave me the half strength ones which is why I think they're taking so long to work. :(

KateTheHuman · 28/08/2014 10:21

I just can't wait til I can stop taking anything!

sleepisforthetired · 28/08/2014 12:07

Kate - can you google the antibiotic name to see if its ok during pregnancy or call midwife/GP? just to set your mind at ease?

Loobyloo893 · 28/08/2014 12:32

If you're worried about it try and speak to someone. In my experience pharmacists are the best people to ask about medication. They're normally pretty helpful x

KateTheHuman · 28/08/2014 12:33

Well google says it's safe as it's a penicillin antibiotic but it still feels wrong. Paracetamol is safe but I hate taking that too. I'm probably just being paranoid but I just think of drugs going into my ikkle bub and feel like I'm letting it down. :(

KateTheHuman · 28/08/2014 12:38

It's very weird that my paranoia about my drug taking coincided with actually feeling baby move. I keep feeling pops now.

KateTheHuman · 28/08/2014 12:45

I'm on Amoxicillin btw.

KateTheHuman · 28/08/2014 15:15

Sorry for being grumbly.

Any scan news today?

Loobyloo893 · 28/08/2014 17:07

You have every right to be grumbly. And we all grumble on here from time to time. It's what it's for. Are u feeling any better?

ReadyForDinner · 28/08/2014 17:43

Grumble away tooth ache is the worst. If its any conciliation it is, in painscore terms, assessed as being worse than labour so at least you know you can get through it. Clutching at straws for you Confused

Nyancat · 28/08/2014 19:08

I've been lurking again for while but been.quite nervous about scan this time round so haven't been posting. Glad to see others good news (and not so good tooth news) had my scan today and all well thankfully so feeling good bit more relaxed. Though back in 4 week for uterine artery scan. Got some slightly fuzzy pics of no 2

Ready that's amazing if it's true as I only cried twice! haha. _

Looby I'm feeling a lot better today. Not 100% but a lot happier in general. And I get to leave work in half an hour to go see the midwife so that's an added bonus! :)

Congrats on scan news Nyan! That's a really clear pic!! So cute! Team pink/blue/yellow? :)

Good morning mad!

EmmaJan2015 · 29/08/2014 10:19

Great pic Nyan Smile

Have been a bit stressed/worried in the last week or so. I'd started to feel some bubbles and popping feelings but haven't felt anything at all in days. Then I managed to convince myself that my bump had actually got smaller. Plus no symptoms at all anymore. I'm pretty sure i'm being silly and paranoid but I cant wait for my scan in a week or two now just for some reassurance.

We're off camping today in Anglesey. I'm not the best camper in the world, preferring hotels, but we're staying in a yurt with proper beds and furniture and a private shower so I think i'll cope Grin

Hope everyone has a great weekend x

ilovelamp78 · 29/08/2014 11:24

I wouldn't worry too much Emma. Lots of us didn't feel much before 20 week scan . You might have anterior placenta and when you get scanned your baby will probably be all wriggly and waving at you! Have a really good weekend xx

EmmaJan2015 · 29/08/2014 12:10

Thanks ilovelamp78

I know i'm not being rational at all! It seems that every couple of weeks I have a day or two of panic for some reason! Have a good one too x

Loobyloo893 · 29/08/2014 13:44

Glad you're feeling a bit better kate.

Try not to worry emma, although u always find myself worrying more In the run up to scans or appointments. I didn't feel any movement before 20 week scan (on Wednesday) then last night baby kicked so hard I felt him from the outside. So we went from nothing to proper kicks.
