Good luck with today's scans ladies.

Loobyloo893 · 21/08/2014 09:22

Good luck to all those with scans today. I have a midwife appointment today (I have to go weekly now) and for some reason I'm terrified. No real need to be. Hoping she'll let me listen to heartbeat to reassure me a bit.

19+1

ChineseFireball · 21/08/2014 09:27

Ooh yes good luck with scans, ladies. I'll try to keep my passion under control for you all... Wink Grin

Good luck to those with scans today!

littlecat123 · 21/08/2014 09:51

Chinese I hope you've sorted out all that passion in your groin Grin gave me a good giggle.

Oh I'm not liking the new mobile mumsnet it's weird!

20 weeks today! Would have my scan today but its tomorrow since dp wanted a long weekend. Feeling scanxious hoping everything is ok with baby and that he/she doesn't have his legs crossed! Having so many crazy pregnancy dreams and always wake up during the night.

Good luck for scans everyone!

RPopz · 21/08/2014 09:51

Haha Chinese - your exploits this morning have made me smile Grin

Good luck to all with scans today Smile I've had my second one scheduled (baby was in the wrong position the first time) - and typically it's when we're on holiday!! Angry Ah well.

I've got DH's man flu and feeling pretty sorry for myself!

20+5

ViviPru · 21/08/2014 10:56

Haha groin passion sniggers! Welcome Emily!

Good luck with scans. I've finally bitten the bullet and booked NCT. We thought sod it, it can't hurt to give it a go and I'm bang in the middle of the EDD range for attendees which is appealing as there'll be no-one miles ahead or behind of me as there are in my other antenatal classes..

I'm watching the comings and goings on the bird feeder and thinking unrealistic romantic thoughts about gazing out at it in 5 months' time while feeding a peaceful snuggly newborn. Happy sigh Smile

21 weeks today! Grin

cheshirem2b · 21/08/2014 11:06

EmmaFeb2015 · 21/08/2014 14:03

Hi everyone,

I think I might join this thread today having lurked for a little while! First baby for me.

I went for my 12 week scan last week and it turned out I was actually 16 weeks Shock. So I am currently 17+1, due on 28th Jan, not 25th Feb as I was first told.

Not feeling particularly pregnant at the moment, even the sore boobs have gone away. Just a growing bump as proof! Finally wearing maternity clothes too and they definitely make my look more pregnant, I quite like it Smile

Welcome emily and emma! I love it when more people delurk.

I'm 19+4 today and feeling very excited for our scan next friday, although I do wish i'd managed to get one a bit closer to 20w as I can't wait to see Minibagel again.

I am still having crazy dreams, they have escalated to killing people, being killed, blah blah. Pretty sure they are here to stay Confused

EmmaJan2015 · 21/08/2014 14:55

Thanks both! Name changed Smile

I went out shopping around Manchester on my lunch break and popped into Mamas and Papas to have a look at things. Has anyone started buying stuff yet?

I think we're going to wait until i'm 30 weeks or so before we start buying any big stuff. Possibly wait to look at the January sales too.

Yikes Minibagel, those dreams sound rather violent! I wish I could sleep in occasionally. Even at the weekend i'm struggling to sleep past 6.30am ish, even when i'm really tired. I'm on holiday next week so i'm hoping for a couple of lie in's

Pesto11 · 21/08/2014 17:25

Great news Cheshire. Lovely photo!
Good luck to everyone else having scans today Smile

cheshirem2b · 21/08/2014 17:30

Welcome to the Jan bus Emma!
As we're due 1/1/15 we can't really wait for Jan sales to get our stuff so have started. so far got some clothes and a few bits for the nursery. Going pram shopping at the weekend and think we picked the cot today! ideally (as I'm a control freak) I'd like the nursery to be done by the end of October!

Wow cheshire you're super organised!! Lovely scan picture Smile

emma I'm due the day before you - nice to have someone so close !

Had a colposcopy today. They didn't find any abnormalities which is good but bad news is there's nothing they can do. They said cervical ectropion (erosion) is normal - mine is just particularly bad. I jus have to keep ringing in when I get big bleeds. I spent the afternoon feeling sorry for myself with a fair few tears. So frustrating there's nothing I can do to make it better.

Keepontrudging · 21/08/2014 19:50

Lovely image there Vivi. Not unrealistic.
Beautiful scan pic chesire :)

I'm currently laying in bed- about to watch some breaking bad and eat choc- perfect end to my birthday , which hasn't really been the best given the circumstances, but did have some lovely moments with Florence today- and rest of my family :)

ReadyForDinner · 21/08/2014 19:56

Scan all good! Yippee! And looks like we have a little boy joining our family! Holy Moly! Even dh a bit taken aback as we both only have sisters. not sure what you do with boys but guess we are going to find out Grin did anyone else find out boy or girl today? We managed to keep to a surprise last time but have been dying to find out from day one this time around!

Fab news ready- we are having a boy this time too. Can't wait to have a son :)

ReadyForDinner · 21/08/2014 22:34

Thank you! We are thrilled!

Madrigals its really nice to hear you say that, I reckon its going to be loads of fun. I always wanted a brother. im chuffed for my daughter Grin

Trudging I am experimenting with saying "my son " in my head! I'm still getting used to "my daughter" she's only ten mons old!

KateTheHuman · 22/08/2014 06:39

Morning all!! Rescan day today 12:20. Eek! Hope bub is behaving this time.

21+1

Saraswati · 22/08/2014 06:48

Good luck kate

Anyone else suffering from rib ache? I feel like my ribs are being prized apart! I guess it's everything being displaced by the growing baby? It's giving me back ache grrr, going to do lots of yoga this weekend to try and stretch everything out. My class isn't on this weekend though so I'll have to try and practice at home while I try and stop my dogs from licking my face! They love it when I do yoga!

What's everyone doing for the bank holiday? I live about a mile from reading festival site, I usually spend this weekend in a drunken haze, but I'm not going this year. Reading is filled with all the festival goers and I feel so sad! I can hear it in my garden so I'll sit out with a glass of Apple juice I think :) apart from that I've got a quiet weekend, we are going to get some more tester pots for the nursery and try and choose a colour :D

22 weeks today!

ViviPru · 22/08/2014 07:58

My rescan today too Kate - what time is yours? Mines at 3:30.. Can't wait to see the Prulet again.

How times change, Sara!! Although that sounds rather appealing.

Sprout glad to hear you've got some answers and there are no abnormalities but it must be so frustrating to have to resign yourself to the inevitability of bleeds. Take it easy Thanks

sleepisforthetired · 22/08/2014 08:12

After a terrible day yesterday (work buffoons and sickness) just caught up with yesterday.

Lol at passion groin

Enjoy the rescans Vivi and Kate

Hi-five for keep just because they make me smile when I get them as still find them a strange phenomenon despite being of the Bart Simpson era.

I am off to find an eye patch as have toothpaste in my eye. Arm and Hammer - that tingly clean feeling is not so nice in the retina!
