Good afternoon all!

Good luck with your scan Dec!!!

I wanna go back to bed! Why isn't it Friday yet?

rumisyum · 20/08/2014 15:42

Good luck with your scan today Dec! And I hope all goes smoothly with the house move.

How lovely about bumping into your pregnant friends Saras and Sunshine. It's so nice to have someone nearby going through the same thing, isn't it?

Sunshine we signed up for the spread out evening version of the NCT course. My DH reckoned that if we were doing it to meet people, we were more likely to get to know them better over a longer period - don't know how necessarily true that is, but I went along with what he wanted.

I am sooooooo tired today. I am now clearly far too pregnant for late nights out. < yawn >

Keepontrudging · 20/08/2014 19:22

Hi all, haven't been on here in a while sorry! Any ideas where it is on here I can post for advice/info on here about what the fluid on heart could be?

Keepontrudging · 20/08/2014 19:23

ps Congrats Pesto, sorry!

Loobyloo893 · 20/08/2014 19:32

Congrats pesto.

Keep, only place I can think of would be antenatal tests/choices. Might be worth a try?

cheshirem2b · 20/08/2014 19:46

Congrats Pesto!

Sunshine, we are doing cnt over 2 Saturdays and an evening. Easier for DH to fit around work and was the only one on offer at our most local venue (10min walk from our house).

cheshirem2b · 20/08/2014 19:47

Nct... Not cnt! Shock

cheshirem2b · 20/08/2014 19:47

Ps: 20+6
Scanxious... Scan tomorrow!

Keepontrudging · 20/08/2014 20:35

ta looby!

Pesto11 · 20/08/2014 20:55

Thank you all. Time for me to think about antenatal classes.
Quite strange over here- as I'm going mad over girl names as if she's going to be born next week; dh has been soooo quiet since we left the hospital.
He had a massive smile on his face so I know he's happy but... He's hardly said a thing.
He was like this after the 12wk scan.
Reality sets in after actually 'seeing' the baby.

EmilyCHN · 20/08/2014 21:10

Evening all. I'm new to the group. 16+5, Due 31st Jan with 2nd baby. 20 week scan still miles away on 19th Sept.
Anyone uncomfy at night? I felt like this from about 7/8 months with DS, but it started from 7/8 weeks with this little one. Pins and needles in hips and burning sensation over skin over hips and in the join between thigh and tummy (where the knicker leg hole is.. and I've bought an extra big size 20 to fit into.. sadly I'm normally a 14-16 but it's the most comfy thing..) Does anyone have any tips apart from propping myself up on all manner of pillows..
Anyway, wishing all bumps good luck and fingers crossed light, lovely and comfy pregnancies!

blizy · 20/08/2014 21:41

Hi Emily, I feel like you describe at night, I have SPD. I'm the same size as you and loving the freedom of bigger sizes. I'm due jan 29th, I'm guessing you are due on the 30th, not the 31st?

Dec2013mummy · 20/08/2014 22:26

Hi all, congrats pretso on a good scan.
All was fine here too. Compared the pics to Ds 20 week scan. Was very weird! I still don't think it's sunk in, although I am very excited.
In another note, mobile mumsnet has changed, I don't like it :(

ilovelamp78 · 20/08/2014 23:11

Lol Cheshire! Grin

Pesto11 · 21/08/2014 05:05

Congrats dec
Eeek only another 20 weeks to go!!!

ChineseFireball · 21/08/2014 07:03

Hello to all the newbies and huzzah for lovely scan news. Keepon I'd look on antenatal tests/choices too. Hope you're ok, lovey.
We did NCT over 2 long days and an evening session. Was fine for us and I meet classmates/fellow delegates/whatever you want to call them at least weekly now, and DS is 2.6. It really is a wonderful support, now as much as in the early days.

I'm another one who is having trouble sleeping (get to sleep fine but keep waking up, aaaargh!) and feeling uncomfortable. Back started hurting yesterday and I have a passion in my groin which makes me waddle for the first couple of minutes after I stand up. Think I might have to dig out my back support bands from last time - basically just a thick wide bit of elastic with a sort of jersey pocket for the bump.

We're going on holidays in 2 weeks (yay!) so I need to start thinking about packing. Am having a swimwear trauma but hopefully that will be remedied by the weekend (thank you freya swimwear and curses to giant out-of-proportion-with-the-rest-of-me preggo boobs). It's the first time we have been abroad with DS so I'm starting to think about what we need to take for him.
Oh good lord. I've just heard DH say to DS as he has passed his room this morning, "Where's your nappy?" and DS had said "I don't know". Better go on a wee hunt...

blizy · 21/08/2014 07:05

Chinese, a passion in your groin eh? I may have just so at out my tea Grin

blizy · 21/08/2014 07:06

That's meant to be spat out!

ChineseFireball · 21/08/2014 07:18

Damn you autocorrect! Clearly I meant PAIN Grin Any passion I may once have had is long gone due to delightful pregnancy loveliness Grin

Can't stop laughing now Grin

And an update on the nappy free DS. DH gave him the potty to do a wee/poo/whatever in, which DS duly did ()...and then lobbed the potty (plus wee) over the stair gate at the door of his room onto the landing. Sigh.

Hiya all. Have been around the thread but not for ages. Due on the 2nd of Jan. I also having my 20 week scan today and feeling anxious. Have been counting down the days so feels like Im off on holiday or something! Im fact we are away for the weekend as of tomorrow and my mum having dd so will be lie ins all round, just hope its all ok. Whilst out at the park yesterday I got a proper jab, dont know what else it could have been! its all been occasional flutters until now so I am taking that as reassuring!
