Hi everyone

I've been lurking for a bit and think it's about time I joined in! I'm around 10 weeks and it's my first pg so very nervous. I have my scanned booked for 1st September, can't wait to finally start telling people!

Panda I'm with you on the tiredness, feel totally drained at the moment. Determined to do something with the day today, however the sofa looks much more inviting Blush

Rainbow555 · 17/08/2014 10:01

Hi blackcat welcome to the group and congrats :)
I must admit the thought of having to got to work tomorrow is horrid!
I know how u feel blackcat but maybe don't fight the urge to chill out on the sofa...

BlackCatGirl · 17/08/2014 11:09

Thanks rainbow. I know what you mean about work, dreading it too. Convinced people have guessed - I'm eating constantly to fight off the MS and trying having to make up excuses for not going on nights out Sad

lotsoftoast · 17/08/2014 16:56

Hi Blackcat!

So, so, so tired today - had to work this morning, inlaws visited this afternoon, and now I'm pooped!

M27J5M · 17/08/2014 17:45

I am shattered today! Full day of doing hair :/ tho my wee gran just treated me to a dominos so that made it all worthwhile Smile

Still not quite 100% but now week 12 and getting there. 3 more sleeps until my scan!!!

m33r · 17/08/2014 18:20

foscar that's great you're feeling remotely human! I'm so jealous that your scan is so close now. We must have a few coming up now. I'm not til 5th sept but will dine out on you lot until then!

M27J5M · 17/08/2014 19:06

Oh foscar I'm the same Smile 4 more sleeps till mine it's just a reassurance scan tho, get my 12 week scan 2 weeks later

I was told at my booking in appointment (14th August) that York hospital would send me my scan date through the post. I told the midwife that I wasn't expecting it before 14 weeks to which she replied that she heard York hospital were notorious for being late with appointments.
Last time I got to 12 weeks and had no appointment. I phoned the hospital and was told that although they had my notes, they hadn't even booked me onto the system. I was furious as I wanted the nuchal scan. I contacted PALS and they phoned me at work (Tuesday) with an appointment 48 hours later with an apology. When I got home, I had a scan date for the FOLLOWING thursday. Luckily I took the earlier appointment as they put me as 13 weeks 6 days - a week later I would have been nearly 15 weeks!
On a positive note, three years ago my booking in appointment was at 10 weeks whereas this one was at 8 weeks. So they have 3-4 weeks to get their finger out of theirs arses and send an appointment within good time!

oh dear oh is not happy he is getting cravings for fried bread. he isnt usually a fan of it and he is on a diet haha

Surfsup1 · 18/08/2014 02:45

It is absolutely bucketing down here today - the sofa is calling me!!
The house looks like an absolute tip and I was going to do something about that, but I can feel the waves of tiredness washing over me again and it looks like we're just going to have to slum it for another day.
When does the tiredness end? I can't remember - it's pretty much a first trimester thing isn't it?

diggerdigsdogs · 18/08/2014 04:49

Are you in Aus too Surfs? It's tipping down in sydney!

I'm exhausted too. I'm pretty sure it's just a first and last few weeks thing!

Surfsup1 · 18/08/2014 06:30

Yep - I'm in Sydney too! How wild is it!? A doona day for sure.
We haven't got much food in the house either, so I'm going to be lazy and order home delivery dinner tonight. Too tired to brave this weather.
What part of Sydney are you in? We're Eastern Beaches way.

diggerdigsdogs · 18/08/2014 06:42

Yy crazy. We are near Oatley down south syd. Does that ring any bells? Love eastern beaches - most of out friends live around there but dh works out this way and we wanted a shorter commute.

When we used to live in the city I used to be able to get a same day woollies delivery if ordered before 11. Brilliant for running low on stuff last minute.
You know my last pg had 3 Sydney MNers too. :)

lotsoftoast · 18/08/2014 06:43

Morning all! How is everyone? Another 530 start to my day....zzz. I'm already planning lie in this weekend!

I wish the next 11 days go quickly, I have no patience and want to see baby!

Surfsup1 · 18/08/2014 06:47

I know where Oatley is - we have friends at Lillipilli - it's gorgeous down there!
How old is/are your other DC(s)

Surfsup1 · 18/08/2014 06:54

Yikes Toast I don't know how you're doing that!? Are you getting up for work?

lotsoftoast · 18/08/2014 07:04

Fortunately not - just a very early rising toddler!

Rainbow555 · 18/08/2014 07:40

Gosh toast, I'm lucky if I can move before 9am for fear of ms! It must be terrible for you I guess u just have to get on with it when there is a dc to look after!
My house is a top too surf, looking forward to gettin energy back so I can clean it again!
Enjoy your sofa day hiding from the rain :)

Surfsup1 · 18/08/2014 07:48

Rainbow are you in Sydney too or is it just raining globally?

Rainbow555 · 18/08/2014 07:52

Haha no I am in NZ it was cold but dry today thankfully, but I see on the forecast that Aus was getting drenched a bit more than normal!

eatscakefornoreasonwhatsoever · 18/08/2014 09:20

I was so naive my last pg. I just looked forward to my scan with no concerns. This time I'm getting nightmares that they'll find a MMC. Especially now most of the nausea has backed off so suddenly. I'm turning into the anxious paranoid m2b that I used to feel all smug and pitiful about last time round.

ELA88 · 18/08/2014 09:55

eatscake I feel the same! I'm paranoid I'm not really pregnant anymore, even though I have signs still, the ms has almost gone now for a week other than random bouts of dry retching every now and again. I've still got 4 weeks till my scan too :-( then I worry that I'm further along than I think I am and it will be too late to do the nuchal test! Grr I hate being such a worrier! Xxx

lotsoftoast · 18/08/2014 09:58

eatscake me too! I'm so anxious this time round, it's awful. Last time I had two private scans at 8 and 11 weeks, so having a 4 week wait from my early scan till 12 week scan is feeling like forever
