Hi all,

Wow, this thread moves sooo fast!

Sorry to hear how poorly some of you have been and others having the awful worrying of spotting / bleeding. Thanks

I'm 7+4 today and I'm feeling decidedly rough. I had terrible ms last time and I'm really worried about it kicking in again. Working an office job from home was far easier than looking after dd, a very active 14 month toddler, full time. So far, it's just big waves of nausea, which seem to be calmed by eating. I'm eating so much at the moment! My trousers started to feel tight yesterday, so I might have to get my fat jeans back out of the loft (they only went up a couple of months ago)!! I'm still breastfeeding too and I read that that can hold off ms as the hormones sort of counteract each other. Fingers crossed as my ms didn't calm down until about 20 weeks last time and even then I was probably sick at least once a week until she was born!!

I've got a HUGE Ocado shop coming this morning and then need to take dd out to burn off some steam!

Hope you all have good days.

Butterpuff · 12/08/2014 09:17

Morning,

Sorry to all the those suffering.

That doesn't seem fair Bouncesky, hopefully its a random one off? But 11 weeks is getting closer to the glow with a bit of luck.

M27J5M · 12/08/2014 10:27

Good morning all Smile hope every1 is well

NotAQueef · 12/08/2014 10:44

Oh no bouncesky! Hopefully just a temporary hormone surge that caused it.
Although at 11+ i seem to throw up every morning when brushing my teeth. Quite handy as it goes straight in the sink Grin

off for take 2 of bloods in a bit. Fingers crossed the phlebotomist can get some without eaving me black and blue as is the norm. Stupid tiny veins.

Oh i'm not really very woo but a phone call from my sister this morning was intriguing.
Apparently she had a phone call from my Mum (whom I speak to a couple of times a year as wasn't brought up with her) asking if she was pregnant/ sure she wasn't pregnant. Sis definitely not and not planning to as she has 4 girls already!
Mum had been to a fortune teller who said one of her daughters was pregnant with a boy! How funny. We shall see if that comes to pass.

NotAQueef · 12/08/2014 10:44

Oh and btw my Mum doesn't know abut me yet

NotAQueef · 12/08/2014 10:46

I haven't put on any weight but seiousy my stomach is huuuuuge. I didn't realise until I saw photos of myself at a wedding last week. Not sure how I will keep it from my friends this weekend. Might have to wear another dress!

Butterpuff · 12/08/2014 10:52

I love a bit of woo NotAQueetf cant wait to find out if the fortune teller was correct. Would you like a boy?

Do you have a bump, or just a larger than normal stomach? I'm just all bloat, really annoying as the 9lb I've lost with the MS should be making my already quite small waist look amazing. But it doesn't.

Good luck with the bloods, I had a wonderful nurse last time, didn't even notice the needle go in.

fishfingerSarnies · 12/08/2014 10:57

Dear god I'm struggling today just dry heaved for 10 mins after emptying my dd stinky potty, though I suppose I should be gad shes potty trained and I don't have to wash poopey nappies.

Was planing on going to the park but the act of bathing us both and poo potties has left me on the sofa with peppa pig saving the day.

Ooh notaqueef it will be interesting to see what happens!

eatscakefornoreasonwhatsoever · 12/08/2014 11:02

Fishfinger ds now refuses to use the potty as he's a big boy and goes on the loo. I am so farking grateful! We used cloth too and the thought of dealing with those atm

littlemissy12345 · 12/08/2014 11:05

I'm so glad I don't have nappies any more - only a little bum to wipe!
Girls who've been taking b6 does it work for nausea or just for stopping actual sickness? I'm off on holiday tomorrow and would love some respite from constant nausea and retching (but not much actual vomiting). Ta

fishfingerSarnies · 12/08/2014 11:14

Ha eats my lo usually uses the toilet but I was too lazy to take her so sent her to get her potty, that back fired didn't it, serves me right for being a lazy mum.

eatscakefornoreasonwhatsoever · 12/08/2014 11:24

Missy - I think it's helped with nausea too, but it did take about a week to kick in

KentExpecting · 12/08/2014 11:24

NotAQueef - That's hilarious! Very curious to hear if the Fortune Teller is right, although I really really don't believe in this kind of thing!

I've been whinging all day every day so far, but an hour ago, when I went into the kitchen to make myself another stomach-settling herbal tea, I looked at the coffee machine and it suddenly did not look disgusting. So I'm having a coffee. I can't tell you how good that tastes! Very nice. Let's hope it's not just a half-hour reprieve from sickness... Though I'll be grateful for that too if it's all I can get Smile

9 weeks tomorrow!

M27J5M · 12/08/2014 11:31

I feel so bad for all you ladies who's suffering :( I really have nothing to moan about considering and have got off lightly on the symptoms front!

Kent I'm 9weeks tomor too Smile

Lifeisabeach · 12/08/2014 11:53

That's great news, Durham :-)

Well I'm feeling sick with nerves. My mum has a hospital appointment this morning, she's got advanced breast cancer and she'll be getting the results from her latest bone scan. Am hoping so hard that it's good news. She'll be round afterwards but I don't know what time so I'm feeling on edge.

Also, when the MW texted on Sunday, she said she'd drop a pregnancy pack round yesterday with forms to fill in. She didn't, so now I'm worried she'll bring it today while my mum's here and she'll want to know what it is. I really don't want her to know until after the scan.

So yes, feeling meh and just want today to be over :-(

fishfingerSarnies · 12/08/2014 11:58

Just fainted again love writhing around in my hall covered in vomit... Not, feeling very shaken and upset and my poor little girl saw me this time. Husband out now until midnight.

M27J5M · 12/08/2014 12:04

Lifesabeach. Really hope your mum gets good news today, fingers crossed!

Butterpuff · 12/08/2014 12:08

Oh no, not good days.

Lifeisabeach I hope that your Mum has good news, what a worry.

Fishfingers how horrible, is there anyone else who can come and help with DD and supply hugs?

fishfingerSarnies · 12/08/2014 12:18

This.king of you and your mum beach.

No one around really, my mum's been down helping out but went home 2 days ago as I hadn't been too bad and my little sister is getting ready for uni. Really dreading my husband going away for 3 months.

Glad you're home and feeling a bit better Durham. Xx

NotAQueef · 12/08/2014 12:21

yay Durham so pleased for you
lifes - hope it's good news for your mum
and fish Shock you poor thing must be scary.

I am curious to know if it's a boy as have been convinced it's a girl for no apparent reason. genuinely don't have a preference.

bloods taken with ease only two attempts needed! yay just hope whoever is talking bloods at my scan next week is so good. remember it taking the best part of an hour at 12 week scan last time.

re my stomach it looks like a bump but as it starts far higher up than my uterus could possibly be it must just be bloat/slack muscles and my general coating of flabWink

DurhamRed · 12/08/2014 12:24

Thanks eveyone for the kind messages.

Fishfinger I hope you feel better soon, dizziness/fainting and vomiting is awful!

Life fingers crossed its good news for your mum.
