Ok, urine has been tested again...apparently I have huge amount of keytones (still) and masses of glucose so have been told to drink huge amounts of water (even though I have had 2 litres of fluid via drip) and I can just about keep a few sips of fluid down at a time..sigh :-( no thirst, no appetite, this is going to be interesting!

persepolis123 · 10/08/2014 11:54

I keep changing my mind. One minute I want another boy because I'm not a girly girl and know how to deal with little boys. Then other times I think it would be nice to have a little girl. Though the last time DP brought it up I practically bit his head off and told him I just want to make it to twelve weeks first. One step at a time.

persepolis123 · 10/08/2014 11:55

Oh no durham that sounds awful Sad

NotAQueef · 10/08/2014 13:28

oh Durham Sad hope they get you on the mend v soon

pink not independent midwife just community midwife via GP. They couldn't get any blood out of me though which always happens so have to see phlebotomist at GP this week

ELA88 · 10/08/2014 13:42

Aww durham you can winge and moan as much as you want! You are so poorly you deserve to! Hope you're feeling better soon xxx

MotherOfInsomniacToddlers · 10/08/2014 13:43

Durham that sounds horrible. I had a friend that suffered really badly both pregnancies, but she has two beautiful children so all worth it in the long run. Infact it's only an observation but the people I know with the most difficult pregnancies seemed to have the easier birth experiences. I have had easy pregnancies but horrendous births. Maybe your birth experience will be kinder to you Grin fingers crossed

Fergie11 · 10/08/2014 13:55

durham it's sounds like your having an awful time but as others have said your in the right place. Take care and I hope your feeling better soon x

Pinksun12 · 10/08/2014 14:08

Whinge away durham! Hope you're feeling better soon!!

notoasthere · 10/08/2014 16:18

Oh durham, that sounds horrendous :(

Lifeisabeach · 10/08/2014 16:46

Just been trying on my clothes to see what still fits. Can't believe how much of a belly I've got already. I'm sure it's just bloating and all the food I've been eating to stop me feeling nauseous, but it feels really noticeable that I'm up the duff. I don't want people to guess until I've had a scan, but that's probably still a month away. I've been wearing loose t shirts with cropped jeans for the last month, but once it gets colder I'll need other options.

My jeans still fit but my belly hangs over the top of the waistband so I've been searching my wardrobe for loose tops for when the weather turns cooler. Just ordered a couple of fine knit jumpers from H and M that will hopefully do the trick!

ELA88 · 10/08/2014 20:28

life I found a pair of really old jeggings in the back of my wardrobe that are quite high waisted and elasticated and go over my bloated belly! I've been wearing them for 3 days though now :-( all my other jeans the button digs in and they're uncomfortable! Not sure of what I'm going to wear to work when we go back in September! Baggy tops and my smart trousers undone! Xxx

fishfingerSarnies · 10/08/2014 21:38

Oh Durham ypu poor thing wishing you better.

Can't remember who was asking about the crramps after dtd, I had that all through my last pregnancy it was really painful at times and one of the reasons we didn't do it much, but it's nothing to worry about. I asked a midwife last time she said it's normal and not to worry.

Rainbow555 · 10/08/2014 22:36

Oh Durham wishing you a speedy recovery and hope u are feeling better soon.

I have a presentation at work tomorrow and no idea what I will wear have belly band on order but it won't be here I time.

And wow has the retching gone up a gear! Still no sick but essentially the same as being sick just with nothing coming up, particularly when brushing my teeth!! I think others have mentioned this before? Did it ease off over time or turn into full sickness?

Contemplating telling my manager today as it's nearly 10am and I haven't made it into work yet!

m33r · 10/08/2014 23:01

fish it was me who asked about cramps and dtd. Thanks!

notoasthere · 11/08/2014 06:02

rainbow I'm retching (9+3) and it's horrid. Would much rather just be sick!

Rainbow555 · 11/08/2014 06:08

Me too notoast and I went to a funeral today and had to stand and it was roasting in there before I new there were colours everywhere and I was all dizzy, think I just about averted fainting due the tributes! Oh man.

Pinksun12 · 11/08/2014 07:41

I used to retch

Pinksun12 · 11/08/2014 07:45

Posted too soon
I used to retch only in my first two pregnancies but actually managed to vomit this time around. Felt much better afterwards! However, I still got off lightly with regards to ms, when I'm reading some of your messages here.
Are you any better Durham?

I caught my son's bug so in bed this morning and have to phone in sick. It's only my fifth day, bit embarrassing, but as dh put it so eloquently "they probably fire you anyway in September when they find out" so shouldn't matter too much.

diggerdigsdogs · 11/08/2014 08:06

Hello!

Found out on Friday I'm pg with DC3. A very great surprise and totally unplanned so some mixed feelings initially but now thinking it will be crazy but awesome.
Edd based on dates is 26th.

Dating scan on Friday. Spent the moning booking in with obgyns. I'm based in Aus and this is my first pg here so it's totally different to how it was with my other two. Need to crunch numbers and find out how hideously expensive it's all going to be!

MotherOfInsomniacToddlers · 11/08/2014 08:37

Durham how are you doing?

DurhamRed · 11/08/2014 09:25

Hi all,

Feeling a little better today, still nauseous but have managed to keep food and water down. Will be going home this evening if all goes well. Fingers crossed I can keep the vomiting at bay when I get home!
