Hey treacle! Nice of you to pop in Smile how are you doing?

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 05/08/2014 15:59

Hi Treacle, How are you doing? xx

Treaclepie19 · 05/08/2014 16:05

I'm ok thanks ladies :) Currently about to have a month off ttc as I put a lot of pressure on myself after the mc.

How are you both?

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 05/08/2014 16:19

Treacle I am fat. And hot, and weeing unsatisfactory thimbles of wee. Oh and a bit mental. Otherwise pretty good! Good that you are giving your body a bit of a break. You need time to heal emotionally as well as physically. Let us know when you concieve though! Once an amazon, always an amazon and all that!

Treaclepie19 · 05/08/2014 16:26

Haha aww, so you're "blossoming" then :p

I will let you all know. I will also be on here December to see your lovely newborns :)

DrewsWife · 05/08/2014 16:36

Hi Treacle xx. Lovely to see you again!! Was thinking of you the other day Smile

Cuppachaplz · 05/08/2014 17:08

Hi all, been away for a while, not wanting to 'drag the thread down' after the bad news of high risk on Downs bloods. DH and I decided not to amnio after so many MCs; the risk seemed to great, especially when we would not be at all phased by a Downs baby.
Had a detailed scan yesterday (20 w next week, but this was done when we declined the amnio). Most thing are well, and I was too phased by the the anomaly discussions/decisions to even answer the 'do you want to know the sex?' question... However, the did find an inter hemispheric cyst (between the brain lobes), which they are monitoring, but don't seem to be worried about at this time, so I am trying very hard not to be.
Having had an early bump show, I seem to have remained static since, and hate the fact that that I just look porky rather than pregnant.
Hope you are all coping with the heat x

PourquoiTuGachesTaVie · 05/08/2014 17:25

Anyone mind if I reel off my "pregnancy niggles" which I don't feel I should complain about at all given what some of you are going through so I'm sorry if I sound petty. Blush

Anyway, I keep getting mild nosebleeds which are annoying (sign of high blood pressure?), but then I also have episodes where I feel faint (low blood pressure?) but whenever my bp is tested it comes out normal?

I need to wee every 5 minutes and never feel like I've actually managed to empty my bladder.

My back is really stiff, feel like I need to crack it but I've never cracked my back before so that's scary. Going to try some of my pregnancy yoga DVD in a minute to see if it helps.

Heartburn and middle of the night leg cramps are back. Still feel like I want to sleep all the time.

I also feel like I want to do some proper make my muscles ache exercise but I can't even walk as fast as I used to (blaming ds for walking slowly for that one - he's got me out of practice) or for as far without feeling awful so doing anything like running is out of the question.

But yes, my problems aren't really problems, just mild annoyances I suppose. Smile

I hope everyone is doing ok today.

LotsaTuddles · 05/08/2014 17:26

I am shattered. Feel like I haven't slept for over a week.

I also have thimble wees, I can go to the toilet and then when I get down the stairs need to go again.

Got my 20w scan tomorrow, have to wait until 1:30 though

oohdaddypig · 05/08/2014 17:35

Busy thread as usual.

Sitting on bus with massive BH contraction after sprinting for it. I forget I'm PG sometimes....

Ladylel - I guess it's good you are getting 2 weekly scans so they can act quickly if they need to. Do they know why the placenta is smaller? I hate the statistics they give but I suppose they cover their backs too. How many weeks are you now?

Lovely to hear from you treacle. Take your time. How are you feeling? I was exhausted for a good few months.

Pourquoi, I get the nosebleeds too and also have low BP. Wonder if there is a link? Very annoying!

I also have a weird tingling hand thing going on -,anyone else got that?

miraculous if you are reading, you are still in my thoughts. X

cuppa glad you got a reassuring scan. Did they reduce the risks somewhat or would they not commit?

Bought my first babygrow yesterday. Not that I need it! But it was white with a pink deer so will have to hide as we have told everyone we don't know the sex. Grin

littlepickly · 05/08/2014 17:47

I have nose bleedy thing going on too and I have lowish bp. I just thought it was all the extra blood or something?!

Cuppachaplz · 05/08/2014 17:51

oohdaddy, the risks are based on bloods. They can't tell from as can yes or no, but they can identify some of the more severe concurrent complications.
I'm not worried about having a DS baby, and have decided that knowing either way is just not worth the risk. I am trying really hard not to worry about (or google!) what a brain lesion might mean.

miraculous thinking of you

ladylel how stressful for you, you and LO in my thoughts

Treaclepie19 · 05/08/2014 17:55

Thanks Drewswife :)

Oohdaddypig, I'm much better than I was thank you. Still tired and have a rubbish immune system but I am recovering.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 05/08/2014 18:03

Weird tingly hand thing yes! wakes me up its so painfull. Waiting for nerve conduction tests at the minute as its probably carpel tunnel

Somersetgirl1990 · 05/08/2014 18:07

Also glad you're taking it easy treacle Smile I'm doing good, were having a boy so very excited, just hoping the rest of the pregnancy goes without a hitch!

Was lying down earlier and my dp turned to me and told me my "bump had disappeared" I got very freaked out and may have cried a little bit. But is it normal? It does seem to have gone down a lot, but not sure if it's because I'm not wearing over the bump trousers which seem to highlight it.

One crazy household here at the minute - dog sitting for two dogs along with my rottweiler and 5 cats Confused it's like a zoo! My dog and one of the dogs I'm looking after are under a year so they both think it's great fun to charge around constantly playing. Thankfully one of the dogs is leaving Sunday she's a nightmare so normality may resume.

LisaC2611 · 05/08/2014 18:40

Blimey this thread moves quickly!

Cuppa glad you got a good result at the reassurance scan. We had the same scan. They told us that there were no downs markers so we then decided not to have the amnio, but decision wasn't made before we went in. Hope everything now goes well for the rest of the pregnancy for you.

Tiredness seems to have hit quite a few if us lately. I couldn't actually get off the settee last night. Just about to manage dishing up the dinner but poor DH had to do everything else. Feeling tired again tonight but no where near as bad as last night. At least have only got to get thru tomorrow at work as I'm off thurs and Fri Grin

Hugmonster82 · 05/08/2014 19:04

I thought we were supposed to to get a sudden surge of energy in the 2nd trimester? Based on this thread that's another one of those pregnancy myths our mothers and friends 'forgot' to tell us are actually lies!
I'm also constantly needing thimble wees. A bit embarrassing at work as I seem to spend more time in the ladies than actually at my desk. Also making the 1 1/2 hour commute even more painful!

Treaclepie19 · 05/08/2014 19:06

So exciting somerset, how far along are you now?

SassehMonsta · 05/08/2014 19:18

Definitely not lost the tiredness. Bump was so sore I struggled to parents and slept in my sisters bed for 4 hours today :/ hurt no matter what I did! Then siblings made smoothies, and I was sent to find ice-cream and more bananas, and then they made me some as well :)

Really no idea why bump was hurting, could feel baby on other side to the pain doing MASSIVE flips - ie, biggest I have felt yet. Maybe the dance class I went to last night woke it up a bit more? who knows :) (Egyptian Belly Dance for those who want to know - great for hips and moving baby into position etc in later pregnancy, but get someone who knows about prenatal bellydance as there are some moves you should avoid. I had to avoid spinning last night as it was making me way more dizzy than usual)

Good to hear from you Treacle, hope you continue to take it easy for a bit Flowers Cake

The bump is certainly blossoming! Got 2 consultant appointments booked in now, one midwife, one GTT and they are going to get back to me on Anti-D booking. Urrgh. Is anyone going to request a GBS test? I will be, even if I have to pay 35 to get it done privately. Much prefer to know and have that peace of mind.

DH is considering alternative jobs, but we can live of him working part time if we try really hard and get govermental support, which wouldn't be ideal but we wouldn't have to move.

21+3 :)

Somersetgirl1990 · 05/08/2014 19:28

I'm 22+2 - time seems to be moving very slowly though!

Has anyone tried/thinking of trying natal hypnotherapy? I'm not normally a fan of things like that but have read good things and if it helps me to stay relaxed then might be worth a go!

Treaclepie19 · 05/08/2014 19:32

Thanks sasseh :)

Somerset you're over half way :)

PourquoiTuGachesTaVie · 05/08/2014 19:42

I have the natal hypnotherapy cd, haven't got round to listening to it yet though.

Somersetgirl1990 · 05/08/2014 19:55

Is there just a generic natal hypnotherapy cd or are there lots to pick from?

oohdaddypig · 05/08/2014 20:12

I always get the GBS test. Was negative with DC1 and positive with DC2. The antibiotics weren't a big deal.

Would love to know any recommendations for natal hypnotherapy CDs. No chance I can get to a class.

My bump definitely looks bigger then smaller - think it depends on clothing and - yuk - gas!!

I'm less tired this trimester but let's face it - it's all relative and some days I still feel like I have been hit by a bus :)

CatFaceCrayola · 05/08/2014 21:07

What's a GBS test?

Went to a regular yoga class today (and the woman altered some moves for me). Felt amazing after the class but am so so achey again now.

happy moment earlier. DH was lying with his head on my lap. Bubble made a huge jerky movement which DH felt. Cue him leaping around the room shouting "Bubble just kicked me in the head"

:)
