BigHairy it doesn't mean anything dreadful, I have blood tests all the time to check what level it's at, and it's a bit higher at the moment than they like in pregnancy (though it's still at a normal range for non-pregnant patients), so I have to increase my medication from 150mcg to 175mcg. It'll more than likely change again in 6 weeks! It might explain why I've been so shattered and sluggish the last couple of weeks, too. Just have to get a prescription for some 25mcg tablets as I've only got 100s and 50s at home Hmm

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 22/08/2014 10:48

Good Peace I am glad its nothing major. Sasseh, too much spicy food makes me throw up the next day too.... horrible as am normally the chilli queen! If I overeat I'm sick too....

That was a very odd experience. Various pads being put on my wrists and fingers and shocked so the twitched! Felt weird but not unpleasant. Am now off to work.... slowly.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 22/08/2014 11:09

Ooh weird BigHairy! Hope the results are all ok!
I'm having a Buffy marathon today. I might nap this afternoon. God I love days off. Remind me of this tomorrow when I'm moaning about being at work Grin

Lucy90 · 22/08/2014 11:13

Morning ladies!
Was beginning to think id gotten past constant tiredness, but closed my eyes for a few minutes this morning at 7 and have just woken up woops!! Better get a move on got work at 1.30 :( x

SilverLinings2014 · 22/08/2014 14:45

Hi All,
Bloody rubbish morning at work today. Everything that could go wrong did. Various people on holiday so I'm either covering their work too or can't get answers/decisions made because no ones around. Grr! Think I'm back on top of things now but was not expecting such mania and I'm worn out now. 9 weeks left and counting!

Glad to hear everyone's MW/doctor/hospital appointments have gone okay and hope everyone has lovely plans for the weekend Grin

Cuppachaplz · 22/08/2014 16:03

Hi everyone, just got back from foetal medicine; cyst unchanged, so I have been referred to a neurologist for yet another scan with a specialist, and an in utero MRI of baby's brain.
On the plus side, no other abnormalities were seen.
Baby very active and awkward for scan, which took forever. However whilst not lying right for the brain scan, he did a serious of flips which made it very obvious what he was!
wishing you all a restful weekend. I am off to return to the uniform labelling marathon :/ x

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 22/08/2014 16:21

Had enough of work. GrinGoing home to pack. Dp somehow thinks we can unload the car which is full of crap, sort out the camping stuff, pack it, go and get the kids (over an hour round trip) and leave really early (like at 4am). I am knackered and this prospect fills me with tears and rage. I don't mind if we leave early but it would be so much easier to get the kids on the way. Or spend tomorrow doing it leisurely after a good nights sleep then go on Sunday but no,he has to do it his own way and it's infuriating. :(

Taura · 22/08/2014 17:35

Time to start the next thread countdown. Name? Jingle babies in there somewhere?

LisaC2611 · 22/08/2014 18:31

How about December 2014 - third trimester here we come, jingle babies all the way? Or something like that?

PolytheneGirl · 22/08/2014 19:25

Has anyone reached the 3rd trimester yet? It still seems ages off for me and I'm only a mid-monther!

BigHairyLegged I'm unrealistically packing too although not braving the tent and have booked a cottage, last minute! Who thought last minute was a good idea with kids? Oh and the car has broken down and been towed to the garage for a new clutch so DH has had to dash to the airport to get a hire car! Leaving me to do all the packing, tidying, cleaning, cooking tea and getting DS to bed! I don't know why I bother! Hope you have a great time when you get there!

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 22/08/2014 19:34

You too Polythene. I am doing that running around thing too. I am so tired but have managed to convince DP that we get the boys in the morning. To be fair, they'll be wanting some last computer time for a week anyway lol!

DrewsWife · 22/08/2014 19:48

I'm at work being kicked Grin.

Not going anywhere this weekend. But hub is off Sunday for 3 days so going to do some major cleaning out and sorting :). Yayyyy. I want the telly moved. And the hall scraped!

Hub wants to go back to London in November when Charlton are playing.

SassehMonsta · 22/08/2014 19:49

apaprently we reach 3rd trimester at 26+6/27... some of us must be getting close?

I think I tried to post something very similar to Taura & Lisa earlier on today, butphone didn't post. Grrrr.

I've been finally sorting out clothes that don't fit any more, to put in the cupboard and ignore for months. Almost finished sorting the clothes out, just a few more bits to put away. Worked flat out since 4:30pm, and soooo close to being done. Except for the 7-8 loads of washing of stuff I'm about to store until next year, the white wash, a delicates wash, a towel & bedding wash and a work clothes wash - ARRGGH. Washing machine may be on overtime this weekend, will have to plan around it...!

(Don't start me on the state of the kitchen, thats also on my "list" for the weekend - Waaah!)

Bring on 24 week mark tomorrow! :D I'm knackered even thinking about my weekend...!

DrewsWife · 22/08/2014 19:52

Isn't third trimester 29-40 weeks. I'm 23 today.

DrewsWife · 22/08/2014 19:54

Poly and spider.. Look them in the eye and tell them.... Koff.... Grin

SassehMonsta · 22/08/2014 19:58

Different places are telling me 26-28 weeks is the start of 3rd trimester.

What about "Rocking and rolling towards the 3rd trimester"?

PourquoiTuGachesTaVie · 22/08/2014 20:06

I'm 26+2 so nearly there.

PolytheneGirl · 22/08/2014 20:23

I always thought it was 26-27 weeks. I'm only 23+3 and 3+ weeks seems like such a long way off right now! But I suppose I'll be nearly 25 wks by the time I'm home. That'll feel better! Smile

I've just given DH the death stare and told him off about not carrying the vacuum downstairs for me this morning when I asked him to! Angry

nickyjlees · 22/08/2014 20:36

26+1 here, can't believe it's flying by so fast already! Nct classes start in 2 weeks, remember thinking it was ages away when I'm booked it, seems like 5 mins ago now!
Off on our babymoon tomorrow, can't wait!!!! OH had decided to refuse the trip to Sydney then found out it was cancelled anyway :) means we can go and visit all my family in Scotland together for the last time before the boy arrives, yay!

Pepsiaddict · 22/08/2014 20:37

Piazilla, sounds like SPD / pgp. There's good advice on the NHS website and your midwife can refer you for physio. It's important to get the right advice early. Sympathies, hurts like !

Hugmonster82 · 22/08/2014 21:06

My book says 26.6 /27 weeks until the third trimester. Makes sense as approx 2/3 of way to 40. Only 11 days and I'm there!

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 22/08/2014 21:45

Have we got a new thread yet? I am off to bed. Soooo tired.

piazilla · 22/08/2014 22:02

Oh thanks pepsiaddict! I have no midwife facilities where I am, and my ob is off for the weekend. I've emailed her but am waiting! I'm hesitant to go to the emergency room because I don't want to overreact!
I am less achey now but I've gotten lower abdominal cramps all day. Kind of not sure what to do from here. I can still feel baby moving though. If I'm still like this in the morning, I think I'll go to the hosp . Hope it doesn't come to that, and that my ob comes back to me. I'll definitely check out nhs website now.

Ladylel · 23/08/2014 09:16

I was under the impression 3rd trimester was 28weeks which for me is on 9th September :) can't come quick enough more of a safety milestone I've been looking forward to for ages!!
