BigHairy that Brides of Skeletor comment made me lol.

Rooner the name we're suggesting for the fb group is 'Jingle Babies', what do you think?

Ladylel · 20/08/2014 22:03

Lol accidentally! It's best to not say anything at all - small makes me paranoid and large makes me paranoid. When you say 6 months with twins and it's their faces that are a picture like 'oh uh really!?'

Still feeling really achy :( feel really uncomfortable, bad back, period pain coming and going, think I have a bit of Braxton hicks going on been ages since I've felt anything similar to how I feel now. Bed time me thinks. MW tomorrow for 25week appt. woop

I've got tons of action going on inside me tonight. Trying to knit a cardigan but navy blue wool in the dark with failing eyesight is a recipe for disaster. Bedtime for me too, I think. Have a lovely Wednesday night, everyone.

Somersetgirl1990 · 20/08/2014 22:57

Hope everyone's days are better tomorrow.

I'm in bed watching friends, which baby seems to love and always goes mad when I put it on Grin

Roonerspism · 21/08/2014 03:00

Like it :) and the other suggestion of "jungle babies" which made me laugh ;)

piazilla · 21/08/2014 04:33

Hi ladies! I'm joining you all for the first time! 24wks 1day here ...ftm due a little boy. Living overseas so am bracing myself for all the fun and games that's going to bring come December! Hope everyone is feeling good and not to achey these daysGrin

monkeybaby2 · 21/08/2014 07:04

Hi piazilla, are we due date buddies? Am due 9 Dec, 24+2 today Smile

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 21/08/2014 07:18

Welcome Piazilla! :)
I am less irritated this morning but so tired. In between now and friday I have to pack for a family camping trip, finish an assignment and tidy the shit-tip house and I work full time. Got midwife this afternoon so may well not go back to work after! Grin

Bettycakes80 · 21/08/2014 08:10

Good luck to everyone having their 25 week checks. I'll be interested to hear how they go. Bless my dr but he's ancient, and at my check he did blood pressure, listened to heartbeat and measured bump then that was it. No questions how I'm feeling and I had to push him to check if I should be having any vaccinations. Have my growth scan booked tomorrow and you've all been so reassuring that I'm not worried. I think we just all have different sized bumps. Plus wouldn't be surprised if my dr measured me wrong!

PourquoiTuGachesTaVie · 21/08/2014 08:18

Blush I completely forgot to ask about vaccinations oops!

My bra extenders arrived today. I'm sooo happy about this and also actually comfortable for the first time in forever! It seems I only needed about a centimetre added to the band of my bra (hence why the next size up was still too loose) but you wouldn't believe the difference this has made. My bra may still even be on by 3pm today which hasn't happened in a while!

Hugmonster82 · 21/08/2014 08:40

There seems to be a lot of us with our 25 week appointments today! Even though I'm working from home today so could sleep in I managed to wake up early feeling nervous about it. The silly thing is I'm only really nervous about them weighing me!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 21/08/2014 08:55

Good luck at all the appointments today - my 25 weeker isn't until 16th September, I'm so far behind!
It's chilly this morning in the SE so I've had porridge for breakfast! Mmm can't wait for autumn!

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 21/08/2014 08:59

I dont seem to have a 25 week Dr check! I have a 24 week midwife check. Is that the same thing?
In other news should I really be going camping at 6 months pregnant? I didnt think twice about it but people at work keep going wooooahhhh, should you really be doing that??

PourquoiTuGachesTaVie · 21/08/2014 09:12

Of course you should go bighairy if you feel up to it. It really bugs me when people do the "are you sure you be doing that in your condition?" thing (I even started a thread about it in FWR!). I'd love to know why those people think camping is off limits to pregnant women? Grrr...I think they're lucky they don't work with me Grin (don't bait the hormonal woman!)

Hugmonster82 · 21/08/2014 09:17

I don't like camping at the best of times spider. See it as a necessary evil when at festivals but at least then you can drink bucket loads of cider to guarantee some sleep! I think I'd be worried about needing the loo so much in the middle of the night and getting comfy sleeping. I'd invest in an air bed, take lots of pillows and have a handy bucket outside the tent!

Hugmonster82 · 21/08/2014 09:20

I think I've just thrown bait to the hormonal womanWink

PolytheneGirl · 21/08/2014 10:01

TMI Last time I went camping I took a Kilner jar with me which lived to the porch bit of my tent for nighttime wee-wees. I'm visually impaired and have no night vision so it means I have to wake someone else up to help me get to the loo in the dark. Not so good when you need to wee every hour or two and it's a 5+ min walk to the loo!

PunkyPod · 21/08/2014 10:30

Or there are these great things called Travel Johns. Basically wee in a bag and the crystals in it solidify the wee. Get them on Amazon. Made Glastonbury Festi so much better for me!! Grin

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 21/08/2014 11:05

PolytheneGirl, that is genius!!! better than weeing in saucepans and washing them before anyone finds out.

Cuppachaplz · 21/08/2014 11:07

Hi all,

back from holidays, where I seem to have acquired a mahoosive bump! I may even be brave enough to find a piccie to post later...

Hoping everyone is well, am going to spend some time catching up on the thread in a bit.

I have a repeat scan to reassess the brain cyst tomorrow. FX is regressing...

If I am 22w today, is that too earl for BH? I can't remember from last time, it was such a long time ago!

CatFaceCrayola · 21/08/2014 11:35

Having a lovely first day in Paris. We're staying in Saint Dennis which is a very multicultural area North of Paris. When we arrived in the dark last night I admit it looked a little rough, but is actually really lovely. Lots of nice little shops and cafes. Although it has brought out the casual racism of my elderly (ish) parents :/ most embarrassing!

Having a brew/wee/rest break at hotel now and then off to central Paris.

No interesting bump-news to report though.

CatFaceCrayola · 21/08/2014 11:38

And when camping a night time Pee Cup is a must!

Ladylel · 21/08/2014 11:42

Pee cup lol!

Ladies the name of FB group has changed to Jingle Babies - DD Dec 2014 it is also secret so if you haven't joined and want to let me know and il open it to 'closed' setting so it can be found and once you're in put it back to secret again.

Just had my 25 week appointment. It was a little bit disappointing - was with the doc so didn't get to hear baby's heart beat which I was looking forward to. He didn't weigh me though which was a massive relief! My blood pressure is fine and bump measurement is spot on but sent off wee sample as a little cloudy so could be an infection. I asked him to do an iron test but apparently they do that next time and it's unlikely to be too low at the moment. I explained that I've been feeling absolutely exhausted and dizzy for the last few days but apparently that's just normal. I don't know what I expected him to say but I feel so tired most of the time I can barely function at work. That's surely not normal?

Hugmonster82 · 21/08/2014 11:59

Ladylel - I'd like to join and can do now if you open it temporarily. Profile pic is of me in my garden displaying 20 week bump.
