whats there's an old fashioned sweet shop in Godalming but would be a bit more of a schlep.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 11/08/2014 14:24

There's a Shakeaway in the other shopping centre - do they still sell the chocolate bars individually?

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 11/08/2014 16:12

Seeing as you're all posting bump pics, here's my mahoosiveness. I feel like a ball with legs.

I've just got back from the Doctors and she gave me the choice whether to go back to work or not tomorrow so I'm going back under the proviso that I'm careful and don't take on too much (Ha!). I'm going to ask for maternity leave to be from the last week in October (with holiday). Doctor has said that if I fall apart again she'll sign me off for the duration, however as I can't afford that, either financially or emotionally, I'm going to try really really hard to keep it together.

Am feeling so much better than this time three weeks ago!

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 11/08/2014 16:15

Arse. I have no idea why that's round the wrong way. It's fine on the computer!

Somersetgirl1990 · 11/08/2014 16:23

Congrats on the scans today - the girls seem to be catching up with the boys now!

Hahaa at the underwear chat. And whats, you've.done it before, what confidence!!

Just spent 10 mins trying to work out how tp fit the carseat in the car. Introducing dog to it. Then another few mins swearing at the amount of space the pushchair takes up in the boot - though it was free, I can see the travel systwm being sold/passed on pretty soon. Takes up 2/3 of toyota corrolla boot space. Was considering putting dog in boot with it, but no chance. Will have to find a solutipn but plenty of time so far.

23 +6 (twins and first babies) supposedly only estimating about 1lb 1oz and 1lb 6oz at 23 weeks. I wasn't this big Last week. I hope this is a good sign that they're growing. Last time I weighed myself (about 3 weeks ago) i'd on a 22lbs. I haven't been officially weighed in since 12 weeks.

Hi all,
scan today, brain cyst thing has shrunk :))))))))
although no-one can tell me what it means still
still no signs of soft markers for DS, although baby now even smaller for dates, dropping back to 20th centime
Trying very hard to be positive and believe.
I wonder what they consider the 'right' amount of weight gain to be? I got another blocking today for not gaining enough. FFS, feel like pointing out that every time I go near ante natal I get hit in the face with a new thing to worry about; couldn't they just let that one slide....
Soooo looking forward to our hols now.... see you all in a week xx

CatFaceCrayola · 11/08/2014 19:34

This morning I went and met someone I sort of know (mostly through FB, I know her husband better) who is The Expert on cloth/re-usable nappies. She showed me every variation and brand under the sun and managed to educate me on nappies for 3 hours! lol. A little overwhelming, but very educational! :) need to get trawling ebay now!

Went to a lovely antenatal yoga class too. Think i'm going to have to find a hard backed chair to sit on in the lounge as our sofa back is all loose cushions, which I seem to sink in to, giving me terrible posture and back ache :/

Welcome silver and congratulations on the scan Freya

nothing much else to report, just bumbling along...

23+1

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 11/08/2014 19:44

Catface I'm looking at armchairs too, gonna visit the local community furniture project this weekend. Our sofa (which came from a CFP!) is far too soft and floppy; I'd have a nightmare trying to get comfy with a baby attached!

Cuppachaplz · 11/08/2014 19:46

catface recommend cloth nappy tree for 2nd hand nappies and advice.
also plenty of closed nappy advice/sale etc groups on Facebook. Maybe check your local area for a nappy library too.
19+6

monkeybaby2 · 11/08/2014 20:00

Cuppa yaaaay that the brain cyst has shrunk that's good news. Is it worth asking the mw why you need to put on more weight? Maybe if she can't give you a good reason she'll shut up about it!

I have put on a stone of cake. This is slightly better than last time though, must eat less cake.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 11/08/2014 20:21

What did she say were the best ones? I've gone for a mixture of birth to potty bumgenius and totsbots. Mostly because I won the former on ebay for a steal, and am inheriting the latter!
