I'm another toothbrush gagger....and gargling mouthwash is impossible.
I suffered with a really sensitive gag reflex guest tine round. By the time I got to 12weeks snogging was totally of the menu so have been just waiting. Hit me about 6 weeks

m33r yep I've been checking dates, like will I be showing at my friends wedding, can I announce on my birthday.

I think cycle length does make a difference. I calculated myself with my adjusted cycle length as March 1st. But the doctor used a standard cycle length and gave me 27th Feb. Bet another date comes up after the first scan!

Hi Ladies, may I join?

You lot are a chatty bunch, I think I read most of the last thread! I'm 30, DC#2 and EDD 30.03.15 although DC1 was 3 weeks early! I'm only 4+1 today, I got my BFP on Friday. Smile

Very nervous as I had a MC earlier this year at 10 weeks but trying to be positive. Have AF type cramps on and off especially in the morning, tiny bit of nausea and tiredness in the evenings but all very mild, it was the same in my first pregnancy. Think i'll wait another week or so and then go to my GP, debating whether or not to ask for an early scan ... it's not like they can do anything if it was bad news, but it might be a small bit of reassurance for me.

pinkandstripey yes I also have the Baby Day where I look at my apps etc, mines is a Monday so something to look forward to at the start of every week.

hetsto I can't begin to imagine what you've been through, only natural for you to be nervous. I hope this group can be a place for you to talk/vent if you need to xx

Didn't mean for that to be so long!Blush

Hi yang. I love greys anatomy.

m33r my change in week day is a Monday and so every Monday in my work diary I have drawn a circle that represents the size of my bean on that day. And yes, I keep imagining how big I'll be at various points. My dh sister is getting married in February and, fingers crossed, I'll be huge then!!!

I think I'm actually falling into a pregnancy coma. I swear I've spent more of today asleep than awake. DS is being a little angel. Playing quietly on his own, watching beebies, taking himself to the loo. Bless him. I an so proud of him.

I want to try eating some of the leftover chicken fried rice from last night but dh left it out over night and I'm not sure if it would be safe :(

Cake, step away from the chicken and rice ecoli combo!

I would never normally be fussed about something a bit dodgy (cut the mould off, sniff the milk kind of a girl) but chicken AND rice?? No no no. It will not taste nice on the way up!

Pasta with cheese sounds appealing just now, and I've only just finished lunch!

Hello thread number two!

I am on my phone so editing the list is a bit tricky for me, can someone change my edd to the 19th? Sorry it's not the 26th or 27th pink Wink I am staying positive until my scan on Monday. Feeling sick as a dog recently though not actually being sick, my sea bands are being wonderful. Boobs not as sore as they were though still sensitive.

The heat is barbaric, I'm struggling to sleep and I'm sure it's making the nausea worse. I've started taking a bottle of iced water with me everywhere I go which helps a little. My eldest breaks up from school tomorrow so not trekking there and back will be rather marvellous! I am thinking of telling him soon. He is 9, 10 in December. We were talking the other day about when I was pregnant with ds2 and he seemed surprised that I knew but didn't tell him until I was 13 weeks. I explained that he was only 6 at the time and it's more common for things to go wrong before 12 weeks, and I didn't want him to get upset if something did go wrong. That obviously still applies but I am such a mess at the moment I feel I am being very unfair on him, disappearing upstairs when dad is cooking, eating different meals, being snappy and grumpy because I feel ill. I will wait until Monday whatever the case, and then maybe think about telling him if it goes well. Ds2 is too young to understand at the moment so I won't worry about telling him yet.

Lovely to see everyone, and some new faces! I will probably join the fb group after my 12 week point.

Looks like quite a few might have my birthday 23rd march. I have always found it to be a good birthday.

I wonder how many of us will give birth on mothers day?? It is the 15th march next year.

On the symptoms front only mild nausea every now and then. Mild cramping every now and then and sore boobs in the morning and when I lift up next door neighbours twins or if I try to run. I wish I had more symptoms :-(

This heat is barbaric! It's awful. I can't stand it.

Had my GP appointment - she was very sympathetic to my experience last time and understood the mistrust I have. I'm so glad I changed GPs from those assholes I was with. She said I could stay within the care of one local hospital which is the same as last time, or start fresh with Lewisham. I'm not sure anyone starts fresh in Lewisham ;) But it's nice to have options. I still aim for a home birth like last time but which hospital we choose will dictate which midwives I see. I need to check out Lewisham - do they have a MLU, what's their view on home births, natural births etc

All in all, very positive.

Thanks so much for all the lovely messages! It was a completely awful time, and still is to a degree, but I do feel we're starting to see light at the end of the tunnel. We're just hoping against hope that this little bean holds on and brings a lot of joy with them. :) If anyone is interested in the whole horrid tale then you can read here , but please don't feel obliged - it's hardly uplifting and I wouldn't want to bring anyone down.

I'm with you on the iced water ApplebyMennym, good for the heat and nausea too! I take the tube to work every day and I've started coming in super-early just to avoid the crush and get on before it gets too hot.

Glad to hear the appointment went well ZebraZeebra! :)

I've told my manager today. After mc my Occu health therapist at work told me to tell them as soon as I was pg again so they could support me should the worst happen.

Felt strange telling him at only 5 wks but he was absolutely lovely. Said he'd been waiting for this conversation as the same thing happened with his other flag and she got pg straight away. And he said not to worry and whatever I needed was no problem.

I am aware I am v lucky to have such an understanding employer

On another note, anyone have any cravings? I literally cannot get enough of icy cold sparkling water!!! Am drinking it by the gallon!

Thanks for the list pink - wow, March is going to cause a considerable surge in the population isn't it?! Grin

I know that actual labour and birth plans are so far in the future at the moment that we shouldn't even be thinking about it, but since having DS I have been adamant that before giving birth again I would ask for a debrief with my hospital notes to help me fully understand my last labour, what happened and why certain decisions were made. I'm guessing that if I still want that then it would take time to arrange with the hospital and so should I mention it at my first MW appt next week? I know she is going to ask me what my intentions are in terms of where/how to give birth, and in particular if I am thinking of an ELCS (after EMCS last time I was told that I would automatically be offered ELCS next time) but it's not a decision I can make until I can understand what happened in my last labour iykwim??

Has anyone else ever had one of these "debriefs" after giving birth? Do you think that 2 years down the line is too late to ask for one?

I didn't have a debrief as such but as part of the complaints procedure they went through every stage with me. I think they are helpful and will help you make any future decisions xx

Hi all, it's already been said but what a comfort to see others in the same boat. I was worried a week ago about lack of symptoms because previously I had atrocious morning sickness ( also a mmc where symptoms stopped) but hey presto it's here with a bang!
Very little vomiting but constantly feel just on the verge of it. Anybody else feel very weak and just generally shit?
Not even thinking about birth hands over ears, lalalala

keeper you can have a debrief any time. It will certainly help you make a decision re elcs or vbac, and can put many demons to rest

Oh hetsto I just read your thread. You're so very, very brave. You and your partner. It must have just been...horrendous. I'm sorry, it seems any words I have just aren't enough, are too much of an understatement. Please do let us know in September when it's their birthday, if you feel you want to xxx
