Hi,

I've finally got my BFP and want to find others who want to chat and eat cake whilst being excited about cooking our little dragons.

I am 31yrs old, just got my BFP for #2.

Come in and sit down for the next nerve racking 9 months :)

Gosh look at that list! Fingers crossed we can all make it through.

Finally got my booking in date and first scan date. I'll be 11+4 for the scan, Sept 18th. Rather nervous as last time I got high risk for Downs Edwards and Patau (then had a CVS and it was all clear). Really don't want that again.

God am I the oldest on that list?? I'm only blinkin' 38! :)

Have changed my mind about the Homerton. Looked at the CQC stats and UCLH is better so I'm booking in there. I am sure both are good though.

Still no barfing!

What an amazing list!! Huge congrats to the ladies joining us today. Smile

So we had the scan and little Brixton Blob is 2mm and his or her heart is beating nicely! Such a surprise as was not expecting to see anything as I'm only 5+6. The woman who did the ultrasound said that size looked right for my dates, which was nice. Almost wept with relief. So strange to think there is a minuscule heart beating away inside me. Now hoping upon hope that it sticks as would feel so cruel now we've seen it.

Will read back soon but hope everyone is well xxx

Hi LindaloveI am 38 too! So fed up of all the negativity in the press about older mothers, never about older fathers tho. I know there are risks but health wise I exercise more, sleep more (lol) and eat better now than in my 20s.

Hey chickenme I know - its the Daily Mail just trying to scare us all. Although there is evidence some risks grow as you get older, there never seems to be much about the things you do/have when your older that counter those risks. Eg having perhaps a more secure lifestyle, money, career as well as being healthier generally. Glad I'm not the only one though - I'll be 39 if/when bean makes it through, so might be my only one, but that's fine. I live in London and would prefer to have one I can educate, feed, focus on as best as possible, as London is an expensive place to live. If I lived anywhere else though I would be sad, not to mention out of a job, as I'm a digital developer (I make apps and stuff). PS my husband is 50! So quite an 'old' first time dad.

Misty just stay in touch with doc and keep monitoring, as people say some blood is still okay. Chin up x

Lindalove I'm only 25 but I share your view with having one..sick of people shooting me down when I say I think I only want one.. Get the whole "only child is a lonely child" bull.. What if I can only afford to give one child the best? Id rather have one I can give my everything to, than have more but struggle through all the time! /rant Blush

Lovely lovely news Brixton - the simultaneous smallness of the beating heart and the potential bigness of what that means is quite mind boggling at times!

Thinking of you misty. Really hope the GP can help give you some answers.

I work in a hospital and walked through the waiting room for the antenatal scanning today. While TTC this was a bittersweet thing to do. Today, seeing a couple clutching a lovely ultrasound pic I really just wanted to first forward till we could get the little bean scanned and just see it's really there and hopefully okay. Looking forward to tomorrow's appt with GP where I might have a better indication of when the first scan will take place (beyond at 12/13 weeks!) Smile

Great news about your scan Brixton! Just caught up with the thread and see there are quite a few fellow Londoners here - including at least one with the same local hosp (hi minipie).

Still don't feel like I can possibly be pregnant so bought a digital test and it looks like I really truly am. Only 1-2 weeks but definitely there! All very surreal.

Hi everyone! I'm a newbie on here - hope you don't mind me joining in?

I'm 34 and have been TTC for 3 years. Had my first EVER bfp recently, so an very excited but trying not to get ahead of myself! EDD 11 April.

Ill be 6 weeks tomorrow so going for an early scan next week, so fingers crossed for good news, otherwise I'll be back for more IVF. Magically this little bean completely surprised us and appeared naturally (not ivf), so against all the odds :)

I've got PCOS - I wonder if anyone else on here has too? I need to catch up on the whole thread soon!

Hope everyone is feeling good today and managing to keep the nerves under control :) x

Aw Misty I'm there with you on the bleeding. I started bleeding on Saturday night and thought "yay, implantation bleed"....only it's not stopped. My first midwife appt isn't until 12th Sept so I'm going to the GP this evening. Hopefully it's just one of those things for both of us and all will turn out well. I didn't have this with DS so that's what's worrying me.

Been TTC since january and I've just got my BFP about an hour ago! Still only a faint line, but a line nonetheless. Haven't even told DH yet, waiting until he comes home.

Its DC#2 and according to the internet I'm due about 24th April.
