Hi,

I've finally got my BFP and want to find others who want to chat and eat cake whilst being excited about cooking our little dragons.

I am 31yrs old, just got my BFP for #2.

Come in and sit down for the next nerve racking 9 months :)

Good luck tomorrow brixton

Cisforcat · 13/08/2014 21:40

Evening everyone!
So I've got my sickness / nausea medication and have taken my first dose. Hope this helps as I can't manage another 5-6 weeks of this !
Am 7 weeks today. Dr also tried to sign me off but I have settled for reduced hours - so........
If any if you lovely ladies are struggling there is things that can be taken to help! Hope that gives some help to someone :)

Linda - glad to hear you're feeling okayish about it and have had helpful conversations. I hope it didn't sound like I thought you were being doomy - I just know it's easy for my thoughts to go a bit dark and swirley sometimes and it's harder to hold onto the light or give it equal billing with the niggly thoughts (if that makes sense!)

Totally love the phrase "scanxious" Brixton. I'll be praying all goes well tomorrow.

Night ladies! Hope you sleep well and that your bladders give you a break!

cinnamongreyhound · 13/08/2014 21:48

Will be thinking of you tomorrow Brixtonbunny!

Glad you've found something that helps Cisforcat :)

Kelbells · 13/08/2014 22:31

Hello ladies!! Would it be ok to join you and (hopefully) make myself comfy for the next 8 months?! I just got a positive test this morning after getting back from holiday! This is DC2, my DS is 22 months and it's taken forever to get preggers as I'm still breastfeeding him - we've been trying again since I gave birth to him! I'm utterly in shock! We may need to call him/her Calais as I think the dot is the product of a panicked quickie in our camper can on the euro tunnel after my CB monitor showed I was about to ovulate! Wink

Kelbells · 13/08/2014 22:32

*van ??

CatRen27 · 14/08/2014 02:18

Kelbells - welcome! And congratulations to you on your bfp. Love your camper van story, hilarious! Any symptoms yet? This group ranges from worrying about no symptoms to since people with some awful ms so hope you're a lucky one whatever that means for you x

CatRen27 · 14/08/2014 02:19

^since = some

Chococroc · 14/08/2014 06:40

Hello!
Can I join you? Got my BFP yesterday, EDD 20th April according to dates, although likely to be earlier than that as I'm a type 1 diabetic so I'm unlikely to go over 38weeks.
Think it's not really sunk in yet, it took 6 months TTC which I know isn't long at all really, but I'd convinced myself we were in for the long haul.
An odd mixture of excitement and being absolutely terrified right now.....

cinnamongreyhound · 14/08/2014 07:21

Congratulations Kelbells and Chococroc!

I slept 10pm-6am today! Just wanted to share that as it's a good few weeks since I slept through the night!!

Wineandchoccy · 14/08/2014 07:22

Hi can I join you on this exciting but nervous journey?

I got my BFP this week and edd is 16th April, I am 5 weeks today.

I had a mmc at my 12 week scan in April so we think we will pay for an early scan this time. I'm excited but terrified at the same time.

How did you all tell your other halves? I bought DH a bottle of beer to celebrate and some baby socks with I love Daddy on them and told him to close his eyes and put the bottle of beer in one hand and the socks in the other he said the bottle felt more interesting but when he opened his eyes and saw the little socks he burst into tears Grin

cinnamongreyhound · 14/08/2014 07:37

Hi wineandchoccy congratulations! And what a lovely way to tell your dh. I told dh it was positive on my way out for my morning run having poas quickly with fmu :) hope these next weeks fly past for you, totally see why you want an early scan.

BananaToast · 14/08/2014 07:43

Hi, please could I join? Just had a BFP this morning - #1 due around the end of April, I'm 26. Only our first month trying so I'm sitting here in shock and waiting for the catch. Fingers crossed everything goes ok, I've been spotting very lightly for two days and this morn had a tiny bit of red tinged blood, which made me think AF was about to arrive. Very nervous now!

Wineandchoccy · 14/08/2014 07:55

Hi cinnamon lovely to see you on here, I hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy.

Congratulations banana let's hope the rest of the bus join us soon Smile

cinnamongreyhound · 14/08/2014 08:58

Been sick this morning :( think I got too hungry, told dh I will need a slice of toast with my tea in the mornings when I get back from my run or dog walk Wink

RiverRocks · 14/08/2014 08:59

Hello to all the new people, there's too many to list now :-) Someone has mentioned my birthday as their EDD, and I got very excited Blush

Is someone able to update the stats list? It must have at least doubled by now Grin and I can't do it from here.

Waiting to hear how your scan goes this morning Brixton.

I'm getting very little sleep, and very nauseous, which I think are contributing to each other. Going to try and book a private scan next week, I think Confused. We go on holiday the week after and I want to make sure everything is okay.

cinnamongreyhound · 14/08/2014 09:03

Some had my ds1's due date as edd but no one has got as far as his actual birthday yet Confused I was induced on 25th and my grandads birthday was 26th so my mum got very excited but he didn't arrive until 27th!

roastpots · 14/08/2014 09:23

Welcome to everyone new - so many BFPs. I love the camper van story, Kelbells!

Good luck with your scan this morning Brixton

I got my date for my scan - 16th September. I think I'll be spot on 12 weeks, so that's good.

Have a good day everyone - hope there's not too much sickness. I'm not doing too badly so far today - forced myself to have a bowl of cereal for breakfast which I think helped...

MustBeDueSomeBetterFeet · 14/08/2014 09:39

Hello, got my bfp yesterday so very excited to join - am hoping we all have an uneventful 9 months!

I'm 4+2 today and EDD seems to be 22 April. This will be DC2 (already have a DS 18 months).

Really need to get on with the GP/midfwife booking appointment.

Symptoms-wise - not much yet, apart from nausea when I eat too much, very tired, and can't sleep! But glad month 1 is out of the way already!

I had gestational diabetes with my first and am hoping I won't get it this time, as I found it quite difficult.

Holy Guacamole, there's a lot of us! Grin

My EDD from LMP is 07/04 making me 6+2, but I actually think I ov'd late (my cycles are messed up since coming off BC) so I think I'm actually due 17/04 and am 5 weeks today! Why couldn't it be the other way round haha Envy

Thanks Squatting for the stats, and snap!!

I know easy it is to feel guilty about the choices you make, but something tells me this is only going to get worse when another arrives. As long as they're healthy & happy, a bit of Peppa isn't going to hurt.

Yeah definitely need to get on to the surgery. Last time, I had to see the GP first before seeing the midwife. I'm a bit unclear of where I want to have this one though. Last time I wanted to go to what is the biggest hospital with most renowned maternity unit. But that was before I had the diabetes and had to be at the hospital every other week - and it was a 45 minute drive. There is a hospital near my parents (20 minute drive) that also has good reviews, and I wonder if I see how the antenatal appointments go, and then switch back to my original one at the last minute.

Although might be getting ahead of myself!!
