Hi,

I've finally got my BFP and want to find others who want to chat and eat cake whilst being excited about cooking our little dragons.

I am 31yrs old, just got my BFP for #2.

Come in and sit down for the next nerve racking 9 months :)

Huge congrats Wiggly and CareBear! Welcome on board the bus - so nice it's getting so busy! X

CareBearWithFangs · 13/08/2014 09:10

Thanks Brixton. How's everyone feeling this morning? My only symptom so far is that I want to eat constantly, just going with it for now as I expect with a few weeks I'll feel too sick to eat much.

cinnamongreyhound · 13/08/2014 09:43

Congratulations TeaAfficionado, carebearwithfangs and WigglyBraddins! Sorry to hear about your mum TeaAfficionado, mine is super excited but really doesn't know much about the mechanics of pregnancy, which is funny considering she's done it twice! The line is usually darker with more hcg but it doubles every day so if you're sure of your dates it could be you implanted early :)

RiverRocks · 13/08/2014 09:48

Morning all, and welcome to Tea, Wiggly and Carebear. It's great that we've got so many people joining.

My birthday is 3 weeks after my EDD and I'm just waiting for someone to come on with that as their EDD Grin

dancestomyowntune · 13/08/2014 11:12

so after yesterdays anti climactic scan i.decided to poas again as the hospital gave a very non-committal 4-5 weeks guesstimate. 3+ weeks on the clear blue digi which must translate to 5+ when you add on the two weeks surely?!!! bit happier with that! off to gps for bp discussion now. this pregnancy is turning into a trial already Grin

LadyNovember · 13/08/2014 11:36

I want to POAS again too dances..still doesn't feel real!

Feeling much better today with cramps they are barely there so fingers crossed I'm all stretched out for a while!!! Feel kinda yucky though..not sick but just don't really want any food. Nothing sounds good to me!

Good luck at the drs dances. Xx

ladyflower23 brixtonbunny I actually think my mum's attitude is right. I'm actually not thinking of the little bean in me as a baby as I suppose in my mind its not yet - far too wee and even a heartbeart doesn't make it 'human' to me ...does that sound weird? I suppose when it starts to actually look like a human I might actually start to think of it like that. It might just be my mind protecting me against any mc trouble but my mum said it was a good way to think about it as things do go wrong and they are often a mystery/certainly not a woman's fault. Its also as much down to my body and little bean to do the right thing. Hah putting responsibility onto bean before its ever born! Poor bean, with me for a potential mum.
I've got my booking in appt next Weds now with a midwife and doc reckons my first scan will be 11-13 weeks at the Homerton. I think I'm cool with that wait as I've not had any worrying symptoms, just a lack of them, and perhaps its best I don't get all wound up/look for things which aren't there. Hard to balance things right.

ChickenMe · 13/08/2014 12:22

Hi hope everyone is doing ok.
People were talking about symptoms or lack of. I haven't been sick at all! I have very occasionally had nausea and bad breath (lol). I'm either not hungry or I'm starving.

Also, I had spotting. It was pretty scary. It only lasted a period of 12 hours. It wasn't constant. It was like beige stuff, also a bit of brown string and two bits of old looking red blood. But only on wiping or investigating. It seems to have gone but I can't relax. I've got fibroids so I wonder if it's that? Does anyone else have fibroids or spotting?

Annoyingly I can't tell my mum till 12 weeks and in a way is like to ask her about the spotting in case she had it.

ChickenMe · 13/08/2014 12:23

Oh and have got bloated belly and inflated boobs anyone else?!

BitchPeas · 13/08/2014 12:34

Hi everyone.

Congratulations newbies Flowers

I still haven't got many symptoms, tiny bit of nausea, bloated and wind. Cramps seem to have stopped. I still feel like a fraud, I want some really bad symptoms to reassure me! Grin I've only told work so far, so feels even less real! I'm only 4+4 though, so it's very early still. Can't wait for scan on 3rd sep. Should be 7+4 by then, Fx!

scratchandsniff · 13/08/2014 13:06

Wow lots of newbies. Congratulations!

Morning sickness kicked in this morning and diarrhoea and very painful cramps. I had them last time so not too worried.

Finding it very hard not to tell everyone. I have told a few close friends as I figure if anything went wrong I would want their support. Not told parents yet as my mum can't keep a secret to save her life.

I wish I could hit the fast forward button to the second trimester.

Can I borrow that fast forward button scratch ? Grin

LadyNovember · 13/08/2014 14:05

Oh & welcome squatting! Congrats on your BFP xx

peppercorn28 · 13/08/2014 14:10

Can I join? I found out on the weekend (via one Poundland test, then one CB one from Boots) that I'm pregnant with our first baby. ADue 13 April next year. Was surprised the doctor didn't also do a test when I went to confirm, also asked me which hospital I want (there are loads near me in London) which is something I'd like to talk about with my mum, fam etc but hadn't wanted to tell them so early..

peppercorn28 · 13/08/2014 14:13

Also, symptom-wise.. painful boobs, ridiculous number of wees (never had to get up in night to wee before!), skinny jeans (aka all my trousers) bit snug!

cinnamongreyhound · 13/08/2014 14:34

I had spotting with ds2 ChickenMe but don't have fibroids, all was fine with him :)

Congratulations SquattingNeville, my dh was the same with the lines!

Congratulations peppercorn28! I was surprised with ds1 too that they just trusted me but they said hpt's are ao good now that they don't need to check.

Felt really rubbish this morning but I think it down to 5 1/2hrs sleep, an early run and no breakfast until nearly 9. I then ate and felt sick but the nausea has gone now. Will be more sensible tomorrow!

WigglyBraddins · 13/08/2014 14:57

Thank you for making me feel so welcome. This is v exciting. I keep wanting to POAS too LadyNovember.

In terms of symptoms, knew I was pregnant about a week ago because all coffee tasted disgusting! I had rubbish morning sickness last time to I hope it doesn't happen again this time.

I think EDD is 22nd April but can't even get a booking appt at the mo! Lots of congratulatory hugs to everyone xxx

Congrats Squatting and peppercorn! Lovely to have you on board!

I'm getting very "scanxious" (I love that word!) about my scan tomorrow, it's in the morning so at least I won't be worrying all day! Will only be 5+6 so doubt they will see much.

Will be thinking of you tomorrow Brixton. Sending you lots of positive vibes. Hope you don't have any more cramps and you sleep well tonight.

Congratulations Squatting. Here's to 9 months of entertaining aversions. Last time the merest waft of cloves would send me sprinting to the bathroom....Lush was out of bounds!

BrixtonBunny · 13/08/2014 17:30

Thanks wiggly Grin xxx

CatRen27 · 13/08/2014 19:57
