Hi,

I've finally got my BFP and want to find others who want to chat and eat cake whilst being excited about cooking our little dragons.

I am 31yrs old, just got my BFP for #2.

Come in and sit down for the next nerve racking 9 months :)

Hello to the new ladies Smile
I self referred to hospital in different trust today so waiting to hear from them to get booking appt and scan. Cannot wait for scan date. Feel nervous not having it sorted and want to have that date to focus on.
Cinnamon you are not alone. I up between 1 and 3 times a night for wee wees. Didn't have this till the end with last one. Sure am going to be used to broken nights again though!!
Glad to hear all was looking well at your scan misty and sorry you are feeling disappointed dances. So hard when you want to be as pregnant as possible to get pushed back a week.

cinnamongreyhound · 12/08/2014 18:47

Congratulations LiveInaBox and sorry to hear about your loss.

The sooner you see someone about it the sooner it will be sorted dancestomyowntune :)

cinnamongreyhound · 12/08/2014 18:53

Sorry missed your post Misty414 and ladyflower23, was on different page! Sorry to hear you're feeling rubbish Misty414 and glad you decided and are booked in ladyflower23 I'm sure it'll come through soon enough :)

Lindalove · 12/08/2014 19:09

I've not had any major symptoms at all - still just mildly tender boobs, and mild stomach cramps. I'm finally calling the doctor tomorrow though to see if I can get on the system and get a 12 week scan date in.
If there's big delays I'm considering getting a 7 week scan done privately next week just to check viability really as I'm 38 and husb is 50. Would prefer to know. I think I was expecting to feel really tired and sick now but nothing happening which is worrying me slightly, though I'm refusing to be too up & down about this.

Cisforcat · 12/08/2014 19:29

Hi all,

Welcome to the new passengers and pleased you got good news misty

My nausea had been absolutely awful the last week or so. I've felt so so rough! Not great when working full time and a 7 months old so today I went to the GP. He has prescribed me some medication to help with the nausea. They won't be able to be picked Til tmrw afternoon although wierdly I actually feel much better this afternoon. ( I almost feel normal!).
Now I'm beginning to panic something's up as my symtoms have gone although I have been taking b6 to help with the MS. Can someone tell me I'm being silly please?
We want the sickness to stop and now it has in still moaning! ( you just can't help some people hehe!)

Hope everyone is doing well, I have had a rough few days, had to have a scan after passing clots, all looked ok but I have to take things steadily for the foreseeable future of the pregnancy. Not feeling great as I'm only 6+1 according to the scan and there is a long way to go.

I only thought I was a couple of days further along, it is more that I don't feel very hopeful with things going badly this early on. I hope I'm just being pessimistic due to all of the stress of the last few days, cannot shake this bad feeling though.

Twittwooo · 12/08/2014 21:52

Misty I'm not all that sure when my EDD is - it's either the end of March or beginning of April so I'm guessing we'll be pretty close. It's hard to tell because my last cycle was only 20 days so based on my last period starting it would be April but taking the short cycle into account it could be March! Cis that's exactly what I meant in my earlier post! Trying every remedy under the sun for the sickness and when it eases I'm worried sick! Would be interested to know how the meds go - I'm battling through at the moment but working is going to be a real challenge so may go to the doctor if there is something safe you can take. even sorry to hear about how you're feeling - hope you begin to feel more positive soon.

ladyflower23 · 12/08/2014 22:09

Cisfor, my symptoms are coming and going too. Had hardly any dc yesterday (sorry) and not that much today, so got me all paranoid. Have felt sick a few times and had some heartburn today, so that's cheered me up Grin

Phryn · 13/08/2014 07:30

Lindalove could you ask anyone else who's been pregnant in your immediate family (blood relatives) what early symptoms they had?

I suggest that because I'm at 6+1 and have only had a bare hint of nausea, but have been feeling shattered, dizzy at times and have sore nipples. My sense of smell seems to be developing too. I was worried about the lack of nausea but my mum who had three successful pregnancys and no miscarriages (I'm pretty certain) never threw up and only had occasional small amounts of nausea. I'm concluding that lack of nausea isn't necessarily a sign of doom as my genetics are probably coming into play here!

Hope everyone is okay this morning!

Lindalove · 13/08/2014 07:54

Hi yes thanks I'm not being too doom laden - there is only my mum to ask and she had two successful pregnancies and a 12 week miscarriage. No sickness, she just wanted to drink tonnes of apple juice! So perhaps that's like me as I am thirstier than normal.
She was very matter of fact about her mc as most occur due to abnormalities developing that you can't control & your body knows when something is viable or not so best let it do it's thing.

ladyflower23 · 13/08/2014 08:03

Hi lindalove. I didn't have any sickness during first pg and it all went fine. I wonder if women used to have a more pragmatic view of miscarriage? I think that we have so much control over everything in our lives these days we find it hard to accept when there's something we can't control. I know I am a complete control freak! My poor dh Grin

TeaAfficionado · 13/08/2014 08:15

Hi all!

Bit new to this! I posted this as a separate thread but got redirected here so hope you don't mind the copy paste!

I took a test last night (day 15po) and got a really dark positive line! But I had a look online at a PT gallery, and my line seemed much darker than many others taken at the same time - is this normal or am I completely mixed up with my dates?

Told my mum to get some moral support, ended up feeling a bit meh as she was a bit like "Thats good.... oh wait, its really early, well...."

Sorry for moaning, have been TTC for a couple of months but really didn't expect this month, so still a bit in shock! No idea what to do now!!

dancestomyowntune · 13/08/2014 08:16

our nurse at the EPU said that in the past people didnt have the option of finding out until they were 6-8weeks gone so many "early" miscarriages.were just late periods. she said in a way this was better because the pychological impact of a late period is so much easier to cope with than a miscarriage. Sad we've had the same nurse for 13years, she has seen us through four successful pregnancies and 11 miscarriages. i think she is worth her weight in gold and its quite nice to see a familiar face!

ladyflower23 · 13/08/2014 08:24

Yeh that is so true. Especially now you can find out before you've even missed your period. And knowing earlier means more time to be excited and get attached. It's so awful that you've had to go through so many losses dances but must be a comfort to have that relationship with your nurse. Just wish a bfp meant a definite baby. The constant uncertainty is really hard. I think that's another thing. Maybe people didn't know so many statistics back then. Wow I've started a really cheery conversation this morning!

ladyflower23 · 13/08/2014 08:25

Welcome tea! My mum was like that too. Bit of an anticlimax! Maybe you should try a clear blue with conception indicator I'd you're not sure about dates.

BrixtonBunny · 13/08/2014 08:27

Morning ladies! I've spent the last couple of weeks fretting that I wasn't feeling rubbish enough, and now I feel dreadful (exhaustion cranked up a whole new level, feel nauseous, headache) and I'm worried about how on earth I'm going to get though the day at work. Typical! Am also worried as I feel like I might be getting the beginnings of a uti. Hmm

Hope everyone is ok today xxx

BrixtonBunny · 13/08/2014 08:32

Welcome and congrats tea! I think different tests pick up different amount or hormone so I wouldn't worry, but as someone suggested you could try a digi test (if you don't mind forking out a tenner!) x

BrixtonBunny · 13/08/2014 08:34

Linda that's what my mum said too about miscarriages (she's an NCT teacher) and I did find it reassuring actually - knowing that if it goes wrong it's not my fault, it's just not meant to be x

ladyflower23 · 13/08/2014 08:48

So brixton does this mean you are going to get free nct classes?!

WigglyBraddins · 13/08/2014 08:50

Hello

Please may I join? I'm 35 and have just got BFP for #2. Grin

Congratulations to the rest of you lovely ladies Flowers

CareBearWithFangs · 13/08/2014 08:57

BrixtonBunny · 13/08/2014 09:02

Lady it does (!) although saying that we might choose to pay for a class near where we live as it would be easier to meet up with the other couples we meet?
