Hi,

I've finally got my BFP and want to find others who want to chat and eat cake whilst being excited about cooking our little dragons.

I am 31yrs old, just got my BFP for #2.

Come in and sit down for the next nerve racking 9 months :)

Morning all!

I was at a wedding yesterday and bloatedness- I looked about 6 months pregnant not 6 weeks.

Please tell me I'm not the only one really suffering with this? I feel like a whale!

Cis you're not alone! I'm really worried - I'm a bridesmaid at a good friend's wedding next Saturday, tried on my dress yesterday and it's so tight around my boobs already - massively panicking.

I'm not wearing a proper bridesmaid dress, we just have to wear red, but it took me ages to find a red dress I liked and I'm worried I won't have time to buy another one! It looks so silly, especially at the back where it strains around boobs then is loose at the top of my back.

I'm also v v worried about hiding that I'm not drinking - any tips? X

Twittwooo · 09/08/2014 11:01

Morning all and hello to all the new ladies! Brixton, I'm afraid I don't have any tips for the not drinking thing but it is tricky, isn't it? Most people who know me are aware I don't often say no to a drink, but since having DD it's not that often I go out so not quite as difficult this time. I'm more bothered about not drinking tea and coffee at work as I'm part of a really small team who all rely on caffeine! Any ideas very welcome! I'm feeling awful today, very nauseous, and feel like such a bad parent as I'm relying on telly a LOT for our toddler's entertainment!! Will have to go out at some stage, but really not feeling up to it. Oh, how different it is the second time around. BUT, I am still trying not to complain as I'm hoping this nausea is a good sign for the pregnancy, and that's what's most important. How is everyone else today?

cinnamongreyhound · 09/08/2014 11:18

Twittwooo you are not a bad parent!! Plenty of people rely on tv all the time not just when they're feeling rough. Plus you are giving your ds/dd sorry can't remember which the best thing in the world, a sibling! I know all siblings are different but my two really are best friends and it's lovely to see them together. I feel guilty about how a third will fit! Dss is great with both of them but will be almost 14 when this one comes along so I don't know how involved he'll be ( he's with us every other weekend, one night in week and half holidays at the moment) as he'll be wanting to spend more time at his mums with his mates I guess.

caffeine wise, I'm still drinking tea, but less per day mostly because I don't fancy it. Could you get some decaf bags? Or herbal and say your having a detox? Or just have all your tea at work and none at home so it's not so much?
Alcohol wise could you have wine spritzer and keep topping it up with soda or have one something and coke and then just buy cokes on their own? Or as someone suggested before keep a half glass and hope everyone thinks someone else is buying you drinks? Will be easier when everyone else gets drunker Wink

Been for a run this morning with my speedy friend, finding I'm struggling with keeping my old pace already but don't want to tell her!! My other friend knows and is slower than me so we can run at her pace and I'm absolutely fine! On my running thread someone posted that a lady they knew ran until 30 weeks so I'm hopeful! My mum wants me to stop now!

cinnamongreyhound · 09/08/2014 11:19

Could you a high control bra to squash them a bit for the day Brixtonbunny? So far my body hasn't changed so I can't help with hiding it.

Twittwooo · 09/08/2014 11:30

Thanks for the kind words cinnamon - DD is managing very well to entertain herself now, I think she's a bit tired of good old Peppa, so that's good! I have also just been very sick, which is horrid but I feel much better now so I think we can finally go out, yeah!!

LadesC · 09/08/2014 11:42

Ive just discovered becks blue(alcohol free) so am hoping the venue for a friends wedding this weekend stocks it then I just have to work out how to avoid accepting drinks from the rest of our group or getting out of doing rounds or itll be a giveaway. Bonus is I really cant taste difference between it and real beer......although im a real ale girl really so it doesnt quite hit the spot!!

Twittwooo · 09/08/2014 11:50

Fingers crossed LadesC - that would be easy! Bavaria is also nice, but tastes quite sweet I think. I like a pale ale generally, but at the moment I'm feeling so sick that there's not much I can stomach, let alone beer, even of the non alcoholic variety!

ladyflower23 · 09/08/2014 13:39

Hi twittwoo. I to have been reliant on the telly. Espec when get home from work and feeling knackered. Trying not to feel too guilty as think being prego is goodreason to get rest any way possible! Feel really sick today so dh took ds out this morning. Feel like I should make an effort to go out this afternoon though...

BitchPeas · 09/08/2014 13:53

I'm going to tentivly put my stats down..... In coming over from the ttc after miscarriage threads as I had a TFMR in 2012, also have DS age 6.5yrs. Got my BFP last night, exactly 4 weeks today, little bit crampy and a little bit nauseous and very tired but apart from that feel ok. Have to call my consultant on Monday and book to have a scan at 7-8 weeks. Feeling a bit anxious but trying to enjoy it Smile

Congratulations Bitchpeas and sorry for your loss Thanks

BitchPeas · 09/08/2014 18:01

Thanks cinnamon I think when the symptoms kick in ill feel a lot better!

When do they start properly? 6 weeks?

cinnamongreyhound · 09/08/2014 18:09

With my previous 2 it was 5 weeks, I'm over 5 weeks now and pretty much nothing so far!

BitchPeas · 09/08/2014 18:34

DS I didn't get anything til 7/8 weeks when I found out!

With the one I lost I was puking and exhausted before I'd even pee'd on a stick!!

I have to tell work tomorrow due to the nature of my job and with what's happened previously (had a chronic heamatoma last time as well and had heavy bleeds on and off from 6 weeks till I had the TFMR) I'm not looking forward to that chat!! It all seems so premature! Will only have to tell my line manager though, can use back injury to fob everyone else off though!

chiliplant · 09/08/2014 20:33

Hi bitchpeas. I hope everything goes well for you. I know how u feel, I had a mc at 7+6 weeks last time so every time I get excited I get angry at myself. I really want t feel some symptoms for reassurance..

chiliplant · 09/08/2014 22:17

dancestomyowntune · 10/08/2014 04:04

anyone else waking at stupid o'clock and unable to get back to sleep Sad ? i have heartburn... something i have only ever suffered with during pregnancy, and breasts are agony all of a sudden. lying here listening to the rain.

CatRen27 · 10/08/2014 06:44

One word. Gas.

Cisforcat · 10/08/2014 07:33

This sickness and nausea is wearing me down and I'm thinking how on earth am I going to cope for potentially the next 7 weeks? Just been sick- again as well as nausea ALL day.

Anyone any tips? I've tried ginger biscuits and little and often but I'm really off my good so struggle to eat.

I'm
Now worried about either twins or a
Molar pregnancy. Can someone just slap me and tell me to stop being so pessimistic ?! Blush
