Hi,

I've finally got my BFP and want to find others who want to chat and eat cake whilst being excited about cooking our little dragons.

I am 31yrs old, just got my BFP for #2.

Come in and sit down for the next nerve racking 9 months :)

Cis sorry you're feeling so rough - sending big hugs ThanksThanks

I think the fact you feel sick is just a good sign everything is as it should be! The grass is always greener - I'm sure if you didn't feel sick yet like me you'd be worrying about lack of symptoms Hmm

Nausea tips from hangovers / boat journeys past include: ready salted crisps, crackers, nausea bands (or just press the inside of your wrists - google it), eating a tiny bit before you even get out of bed. Good luck and sending sympathy!

BrixtonBunny · 10/08/2014 08:13

Dances yes, I usually wake up between 3 and 5 most days, it's rubbish! Though am getting better at going back to sleep after x

mrscog · 10/08/2014 08:18

Hello can I join? Just had a BFP this morning. Think I'm due 22nd April, and this is DC2. :)

Cisforcat · 10/08/2014 08:20

Thanks Brixton. I'll try them. I just feel so awful all day long and it seems to be getting worse. Have actually been sick today which I haven't been to date so it's obviously ramping up a notch.

I didn't have any symptoms at all with DD so don't worry. She's here and is a perfect little menace so likewise no symptoms aren't a bad sign! I wish I'd counted myself a little more lucky first time round. This. Is. Awful. I've just had to leave dd in her high chair whilst throwing up the poor little mite!

Please. Let. The. Next. 7. Weeks. Fly. By! [shocked]

Pregnancy was super easy for me first time round, I vomited a couple of times at work and once at home (in a student house) has a few complications at the end, but I suspect that was more to do with overworking myself and planning my wedding from scratch during the pregnancy!

This time round other than being like bottomless hole and exhausted I have no symptoms and I'm desperately waiting to be sick just once, lol.

BrixtonBunny · 10/08/2014 08:58

Welcome and congrats mrscog! X

BrixtonBunny · 10/08/2014 08:58

Cis you poor thing, hopefully your sickness will peak early and you'll feel much better soon x

ladyflower23 · 10/08/2014 09:01

Hi cis. It's so weird how two pregnancies can be so different when they're both happening in the same body! I have been feeling much more sick this time (though luckily no throwing up) and only want to eat wheetos, crisps, pot noodles and peaches. Plus indigestion every time I do eat. So don't worry things have been really diff for me too this time after no symptoms first time round...or maybe we're both having twins! Agh!!!

cinnamongreyhound · 10/08/2014 09:06

Congratulations mrscog!

I had ONE very healthy ds Cisforcat and was sick multiple times a day every day from 5-13 weeks. I felt nauseas pretty much constantly and lost 3 1/2st. Not really a great picture but did lead to a very healthy pregnancy after that where I really did bloom! Exercise helped me although it's the lady thing you want to do, a gentle swim gave me many hours relief. Definitely little and often and dry food, try not to get too hungry as I found it made it much worse. I wasn't as bad with ds2 but it carried on longer, again single very healthy pregnancy, I worked until Friday 41+4 and he was born by iol on the Monday. I read with both that it creates a very strong placenta. Looking back I'm not sure how I coped as I was mega tired too but I did and here I am doing it again!

Twittwooo · 10/08/2014 09:16

Cis, I'm feeling the same so feel for you! It's AWFUL, constant nausea / headaches and yesterday I had two episodes of actually being sick. Not much is helping but I'm going to buy some sea bands today I think. I've no idea how I'm going to cope at work, on my feet all day. Keep telling myself it's a good sign for the pregnancy though ..

Lindalove · 10/08/2014 09:29

Hi everyone just checking in! I've been away for a week.

So I've not got any side effects still? Slightly tender boobs and some mild tummy cramps but no tiredness or feeling nausea. I'm 6 weeks and 2 days so might I dodge the worst effects now? Fingers crossed. My sleep feels a little disrupted though - keep waking up once during the night and weeing more.

Word of warning to anyone drinking ginger beer rather than normal beer - I was given a bottle this week and it was actually alcoholic /4%! Luckily I noticed pretty quickly. This dodging booze is harder than I thought! :)

RumNoRaisins · 10/08/2014 09:51

Poor you cis. I found dry salty food helped eg oatcakes or plain tortilla chips. Also crystallised stem ginger had a longer lasting effect on nausea then ginger biscuits.

After my post on Friday the MS has hit with a vengeance. Am trying to gather the strength to leave my bed. Darling DH has brought me some breakfast and been distracting DS all morning.

roastpots · 10/08/2014 10:12

Sounds like symptoms are really notching up for some of you. With my last pregnancy I lived mainly on jacket potatoes - it seemed to be the only thing I could face. And flat coke!

Dh has been away for work for two weeks - he's back tomorrow and I can't wait. Coping with a full on job, a full on toddler and early pregnancy has almost finished me off!

JeewizzJen · 10/08/2014 10:32

Does anyone else get lightheaded when standing up? Has been happening to me almost every time!

roastpots · 10/08/2014 10:34

Yes jeewizz! I've been going really dizzy if I get up too quickly.

BrixtonBunny · 10/08/2014 10:38

Yes jeewizz, I've been getting dizzy and lightheaded on and off - not very fun!

cinnamongreyhound · 10/08/2014 11:09

Yes JeewizzJen, pretty much every time for me too. Always had it around ovulation too and I have low blood pressure so it's quite normal for me but much more frequent and more severe at the moment.

What a hideous day! We are supposed to be going to a dog show but have decided to hibernate instead. It's my wedding anniversary so we're off for dinner at 7 :)

CatRen27 · 10/08/2014 11:15

lindalove I'm going through the same - mild cramps and dizziness is all so far (plus boobs oh as gas!) and peeing in the night! Started feeling nauseous this morning though so wonder if the ms fairy has arrived!

chiliplant · 10/08/2014 11:24

No ms sickness here either. Sore chest and tiredness but then again I'm always tired!
Anyone any ideas for vegetarian iron rich snacks?x

Oh good, always reassuring to know others feel the same! (Not that I wish it on anyone!). I'm quite crampy as well, just mild though. With DS I had excruciating pains around this time, so I'm hoping to avoid that this time! Hopefully I'm 'stretched enough from the first time Grin

dancestomyowntune · 10/08/2014 13:08

dizzy standing up is low bp probably. wish i had that! Sad

Sorry for you that are feeling really unwell. My nausea comes and goes and I'm dizzy if I move around to quickly. I'm not sure I could actually sleep anymore either, staying up till 9 feels like an achievement even with a nap!!

Has anyone got any scans lined up this week?

I'm after a proper chicken roast dinner, its in the oven as we speak and smells amazing, hope when it comes to eating it I can face it....
