Hi,

I've finally got my BFP and want to find others who want to chat and eat cake whilst being excited about cooking our little dragons.

I am 31yrs old, just got my BFP for #2.

Come in and sit down for the next nerve racking 9 months :)

Does anyone else think that someone is having a big joke at your expenses and you're not actually pregnant?
When do pregnancy tests stop showing that you're pregnant - I have the urge to POAS, just to check!

mamabear0315 · 08/08/2014 16:32

Good day! :)
The nausea has yet to hit me this time, last time I was oddly really sick during my second trimester instead tho :s lol .. so far all im feeling is cranky, crampy and restless at night when im trying to sleep..as for names..i have started browsing..finding lots of cute girl names...but having a tough time trying to think of boy names!:P Hope everyones doing well today! xx

BrixtonBunny · 08/08/2014 17:15

Pyroi I definitely feel like that! I don't think I'll stop until the 12 week scan. I always thought that when I became pregnant I would feel it or "know", but that's not really the case at all. I may have POAS this morning...

Wherediparkmybroom · 08/08/2014 17:53

Icsw the GP this morning as expected congratulations, you know the drill... Wait for the midwife to call followed by a quick chat about ds2 who, was up there for antibiotics last week, love my GP really nice unflappable man!

cinnamongreyhound · 08/08/2014 17:56

From what I can see online hcg peaks between 10-12 weeks pregnant so if you feel you need to poas should still be positive for a while Grin

I'm quite crampy today, had quite a few just after is tested and they had gone. Have also felt like I could fall asleep around 3pm the last few days and all I want to eat is bread! Have been eating other things but would prefer bread!! Glad it's the weekend!

ladyflower23 · 08/08/2014 17:58

I've started to think of names in my head but trying to hold off talking to dh about it so I don't jinx it. The bloating is just immense this time. I love a bump but not one that's made of wind! I keep getting a pain low down on the right side of my belly when I need to wee. What could this mean?!

Wherediparkmybroom · 08/08/2014 18:06

I've already got my girls name, if it's another boy Dh can choose within reason! This will be Margaret Emily

Wherediparkmybroom · 08/08/2014 18:08

Lady flower I had pains like that with no 2 it was a uti, showed up in the pee sample, oh god the bottles!!!! Anyway a quick course of ab sorted it!
Apparently it's very common.

BrixtonBunny · 08/08/2014 18:18

Wheredidi that is a lovely name!

Wherediparkmybroom · 08/08/2014 18:21

Thanks Brixton!

JeewizzJen · 08/08/2014 18:29

Hello everyone! Got my BFP on Wednesday - we have been trying but I was pretty surprised as DP was away during all but one day of what I thought would be my fertile time - so we definitely know the day of conception! This will be my second child, DS is 3. I'm 5+2 weeks.

ladyflower23 · 08/08/2014 18:29

Thanks wheredidi. I've got first appt with midwife on Monday so will ask her to test me then if she doesnt offer!

cinnamongreyhound · 08/08/2014 18:34

Could it be a uti? wrote that then read Wheredidiparkmybroom's suggestion! Could just be your uterus taking up slightly more room so takes up a bit of room your bladder was when it's full? Or Really actually have no idea ladyflower23!

My mum is Margaret but everyone calls her Maggie so if we have a girl her middle name will be Maggie Wheredidiparkmybroom.

cinnamongreyhound · 08/08/2014 18:35

Congratulations JeewizJen, x-posts! I'm 5w+2 as well :)

Wherediparkmybroom · 08/08/2014 18:44

I like Maggie for a little girl but there is still the grown up name for later!

berberana · 08/08/2014 18:47

Hello, I can't copy and paste the list and am new to this sort of thing but if anyone would be kind enough to update on my behalf, I am 33 and EDD is around 12th April - am dating this from date of conception, about which I am 99% certain but I ov'd on CD65 so it's a bit vague.

This is no. 2, I have a 3 yo DS currently sitting on top of me watching Octonauts...

Am currently feeling that this is all a bit anti - climactic! Initial excitement on getting positive test but then... Am a little anxious because since I had my first, several friends have had miscarriages and a stillbirth, which never really occurred to me to worry about before. And I'm not even distracting myself by looking at all the stuff we'll need to buy cos we already have it! Just feeling a lot more apprehension than excitement at present.

Although part of that I think is that this is very much wanted and planned with precision timing - I wanted an April baby for various practical reasons and it seems a bit too good to be true (esp. given my silly irregular cycle) that's it's actually all falling into place!!

Anyway, midwife booking in appt next Thurs so that should make it all feel a bit more real!

pyrowall · 08/08/2014 19:46

Oh OK...I may have to go and buy some tomorrow!

Also I fell asleep at work yesterday Blush I was on my own in the office! It was all I could do to not do the same today!

I've also learnt a new skill and I'm currently crocheting granny squares to make a blanket.

yes Misty! dd1 has been at summer school an hour away and going to get her was an experience tonight! Sad

Rustyzilla · 08/08/2014 21:01

Hi Berberana!

JeewizJen and Cinnamon I'm also 5+2. Nothing new to report on symptom watch but I have been exhausted and 3pm is my worst time of day! Still no real sickness, very fleeting nausea a couple of times.

Got a call from the midwife today though which was exciting! Just to take basic details, apparently I will get my scan appointment date in the post next week and then she'll call me again to arrange an appointment to take my notes. And I need to go for another blood test in addition to he bi-weekly ones my GP ordered because of my thyroid. Will look like a pin cushion!

I am too scared to think about names yet, although we are planning to have our spare room plastered in readiness for becoming a nursery. Just don't want to jinx anything.

Just finished 12 hour working day and in bad need of pyjamas and chocolate on the sofa!

cinnamongreyhound · 08/08/2014 22:04

I keep getting flutters of excitement like butterflies that I am actually pregnant but I'm not as stressed as I was with ds2. Been so desparate to have no3 for so long I'd put up with anything but it's nice to not be so poorly so far this time!! Trying not to think about it too much and carry on as normal but whether my baby is going to be ok is on my mind all the time plus I'm so excited about telling my boys! Anyway I'm off to bed now as I'm knackered! Hope everyone has a lovely weekend :)

Rustyzilla · 09/08/2014 00:01

Clearly have baby brain already as I'm not 5+2, am 5+1! Sweet dreams all Smile

JeewizzJen · 09/08/2014 05:40

I feel incredibly nervous about something going wrong this time too - I don't remember being anywhere near as worried with DS1! I still can't quite believe it's all happening somehow.

I need to get myself booked in with the GP/midwife. Not sure whether I have to see the GP at my practice first or not. Would be good to get a scan date to stress about look forward to.

1987ls · 09/08/2014 06:51

Got my BFP this morning, edd 17/4/15! Smile

JeewizzJen · 09/08/2014 06:58
