Hi,

I've finally got my BFP and want to find others who want to chat and eat cake whilst being excited about cooking our little dragons.

I am 31yrs old, just got my BFP for #2.

Come in and sit down for the next nerve racking 9 months :)

Morning and congrats binary! X

dancestomyowntune · 08/08/2014 09:04

congrats Binarysolo welcome to the club!

cinnamongreyhound · 08/08/2014 09:36

Congratulations Binarysolo, I've got to ds's too but mine are 7 and almost 4. I'm looking forward to the 'so are you hoping it's a girl' comments not Hmm not that there's anything wrong with wanting a girl I just hate the assumption that you MUST be having a third because you're desparate for one of the opposite sex to what you have. Sorry that turned into a bit of a rant Blush

Sorry you're feeling pants BrixtonBunny! Glad you can cry at your dh! I cried weds when listening to the hour of old songs where you guess the year can't remember the proper name, but probably not pregnancy related! and realised not only did ds1 not know the songs but also mine of the stuff the song referred to. I suddenly felt really old and started crying, he asked what was wrong so I said 'mummy's very old' and he said 'don't worry mummy, you're not as old as daddy, he's really old'. I love my boy! Going to make someone a fab dh one day Grin

ChickenMe · 08/08/2014 09:40

Morning.
It's good to read other posters' experiences. This is such a roller coaster. Sometimes I'm like "I don't feel preg" and I panic. But this morning I woke up uber bloated and boobs are back to being sore and inflated.
I always have bloating during pms time so I'm not surprised.
Anyone else having crazy dreams and also being clumsy and forgetful? I was getting vivid dreams even before my period was late-it was something that made me suspicious..
Glad to hear I'm not the only one with moodiness. One minute I'm like YAY the next I'm enraged. Haha!!!
Does anyone else not have sickness?

cinnamongreyhound · 08/08/2014 09:43

Not really either ChickenMe, the odd wave but nothing like my previous pg. My mum is now convinced in having a girl (which she'd love!) as my brother made her sick and I didn't.

dancestomyowntune · 08/08/2014 09:49

i also am having eierd dreams! really vivid ones Grin

scratchandsniff · 08/08/2014 10:04

I (touches wood) also don't have any nausea/sickness yet either chicken, but it didn't kick in until about 8 weeks last time.

I feel very tired and ravenously hungry. I could quite happily polish off a plate of steak and chips right now. Now I can't enjoy a glass of wine on my weekend away its going to be all about the food!

Welcome to everyone new. Lots of us already and probably more to come. Talking on this thread is definitely helping me keep it quiet in RL.

Anyone having trouble sleeping? I did last time too. If you are I can recommend Bach rescue remedy sleep spray, its safe to use when pregnant and I find it does help.

BrixtonBunny · 08/08/2014 10:07

Cinnamon that is so adorable - bless your DS! What a cutie! Sorry you've even feeling emotional too. Xx

BrixtonBunny · 08/08/2014 10:09

Chicken I don't feel sick yet, a bit queasy maybe but not properly nauseous. I don't have sore boobs either, mostly just bloated, grumpy and exhausted (I'm pretty great company at the moment Wink). I've been having vivid dreams too, including a few sex dreams about DP which is odd as my sex drive has disappeared this last week!

pyrowall · 08/08/2014 10:19

I've woken up this morning with my head in fog!! Can't seem to shift the overwhelming tiredness!!
OH is now complaining that I'm moaning about it so much apparently 'I have to do something about it, I get enough sleep!???!!!?'
What exactly am I supposed to do! Sleep all day!

Cassieyellow · 08/08/2014 10:28

Morning all. Nauseous began this morning but not big style yet... Had a 'hot flush' and fainty moment when shopping yesterday! It's all go for us isn't it! And so fascinating how everyone has different things going on. I am going to stay with a friend next week and when she was pregnant she had absolutely no symptoms so she has nooooo idea. She knows I am pregnant but don't know how much she'll be able to empathise!

I have been silly....just started writing down my baby name thoughts. I know...but couldn't help myself....!

BinarySolo · 08/08/2014 10:28

Yes to the wanting a girl comments. When I was pregnant with ds1 a stranger asked me if I knew what I was having. I said, yes, another boy. She replied, oh well as long as it's healthy. And you can always pop another one out!

Erm, yeah.

pyrowall · 08/08/2014 10:30

cassie whispers we've already decided our names!

Cisforcat · 08/08/2014 10:31

Hello all,

Wow it's just taken me ages to catch up!

Well this week the nausea has reached a new level. I've felt awful at work- got told I looked grey yesterday by our reception lady which is always nice! I didn't have any with DD so this is all new. Ginger biscuits are my life saver att!
So awful nausea that only goes away with eating is going to leave me monsterous by the end of this pregnancy. ( just like my last! :( )
As for trapped wind- my god has anyone else had any? I've been in agony at times with it and as for bloating!
In off to a wedding today and I look about 6 months pregnant not 6 weeks lol! Shame as I just feel I look awful so not looking forward to it.

Sorry to be all doom and gloom! My first wasn't anything like this and it was only last year! I'm so much worse this year I keep panicking it's twins- anyone else have the same worries!? Or am I just mental?

OP posts:
roastpots · 08/08/2014 10:37

cis - I'm really scared about the twins possibility. I have a strong family history (in every generation) and so it's a definite possibility. I know it's awful to say but I would really really rather not have twins!

pyro - you've already picked your names?!! That's amazing. I'm actually quite jealous - I find name picking really hard and would love that kind of certainty!

BinarySolo · 08/08/2014 10:39

Cisfor my 2 pregnancies sound like yours. No1 was relatively symptom free but I was sick a lot with my second and started to show MUCH earlier. I was quite indignant when there was only one at the scan!

dancestomyowntune · 08/08/2014 10:41

re names... my mum has already named this little bean. we live together and one of her conditions for us having another one was that she could name it... not thrilled with her choice so hoping we can steer her away from it! Grin

dancestomyowntune · 08/08/2014 10:44

cisfor i keep dreaming its twins. and dsis told me that after having mirena removed (as i have just done) you are at increased risk of hyperovulation so therefore higher risk of twins Sad

should find out next week at the scan Grin

BrixtonBunny · 08/08/2014 10:46

Cassie we started a baby name list going when we started TTC Blush

cinnamongreyhound · 08/08/2014 11:07

We've struggled to agree with names for ds's and are already generally chatting but dh is just silly! I get texts from him saying how are you and Darth!!! His suggestions are usually from Star Wars or some 15th century general or a motoGP rider. We agreed I'd choose the boys name and he'd choose a girls as he has 3 boys I thought I was on to a good thing but now he's changed his mind! It took me 18 months to get used to ds2's name which I let him pick from our list so I really don't want to do that again!!

RumNoRaisins · 08/08/2014 12:48

Hello all! Wow this thread has grown!

I'm slightly bemused in that I haven't had much symptoms apart from some tiredness and THE RAGE. With DS I felt sick 24/7 from very early on, but I've only been slightly nauseous with this one. Keep waiting for MS to hit.

I think DS senses the baby. He's been particularly clingy and referred to himself as a baby earlier today. Has also taken to crawling around the house!

LadesC · 08/08/2014 13:05

cisforcat.....oh dear god the wind!! My poor dp.....I keep waking him up in the middle of the night with it!! I do have ibs so not sure whether thats exacerbating things. Ive bought a lovely coast dress from ebay for a wedding nxt weekend...so am hoping the bloated belly shrinks a bit or itll be a bit snugSad

pyrowall · 08/08/2014 13:52

roastpots - we carried over our girls name from before - changed the middle names.
Boy first name fixed - not decided on middle names

lila35 · 08/08/2014 13:53

I don't think we are going to agree on names at all, although I can't bring myself to talk about these things quite so early on. you get 6 weeks after its born to register right? ;-)

I am having pretty regular nausea, I am exhausted, lots of wind, headaches and yes I am bloated to, that's probably down to the amount of chocolate I have been eating since we started the IVF treatment, should think about cutting down otherwise I'll end up the size of a house!! All these symptoms I hope mean theres a little one in there doing its thing!!

Hope everyone else is feeling ok, not to rubbish and has managed to factor in extra napping time over the weekend!!

cinnamongreyhound · 08/08/2014 14:04

Yes scratchandsniff, I had 4 days before I found out where I didn't fall asleep until 2am and then on and off since! Slept all night last night which was lovely.

I don't think more or less sickness is related to twins, I think most of us are worried about twins!
