Hi,

I've finally got my BFP and want to find others who want to chat and eat cake whilst being excited about cooking our little dragons.

I am 31yrs old, just got my BFP for #2.

Come in and sit down for the next nerve racking 9 months :)

Have any of you booked in to see your midwife yet? Ive just booked in for 6 wks + 5 but the lady on reception asked when I have to have my booking appt and I didnt know either. Will that be too early do you think??

cinnamongreyhound · 07/08/2014 17:43

I'm waiting to hear from her LadesC, I got my San date today so at least I know I'm in the system. I saw her at about 9 weeks with my other two.

lila35 · 07/08/2014 17:54

Hello hello! I have updated with my due date :-)

Hello lots of newbies, this thread has moved quickly all of a sudden hasn't it? Tomorrow I shall officially be 6 weeks, def felt alot more nausea today and a tad more light headed. Hopefully this is all a good sign. Still counting down the days till my early scan, I was considering calling the fertility clinic to see if I could bring it forward but figure if I can hold out till the 19th when I'll be 7+4 there will be more chance of seeing more. Oh I hope theres something there!!

Can I ask everyone - for those of you with booking in/scan dates, how long did it take from referral to hospital, until you received your appointment date?

I haven't got anything from the hospital yet and I don't know if it's the hospital being slow or my GP not having done the referral yet! If it's GP being slow I would go down the self referral route instead.

evenhasawatermark · 07/08/2014 18:08

Am I the only one who hasn't gone to GP/sorted booking in?

I want a bit more time with just DP and I knowing first. I didn't book in until 8 weeks with my first... Maybe I'm odd!

Cassieyellow · 07/08/2014 18:17

Evening everyone, I was going to wait a bit longer to book, booking in appt but rang up about a smear (that couldn't have any longer ) and the receptionist was very keen to book in my appt...(for when I am 8 weeks ) and said If I had waited any longer I would be late getting it (and therefore getting scan I suspect, which i guess they sort after that). So I would suggest not waiting too long to ring up!

Wherediparkmybroom · 07/08/2014 18:19

I seem to be showing already, any third timers out there that can shed light on this, doesn't even look like fat and I wore my size eight jeans till 20 weeks last time!

mamabear0315 · 07/08/2014 18:26

Hello ladies :)
Just found out we are expecting baby # 2 in early April,2015! :) My first is 17 months and is a boy so I'm not gonna lie I am really really hoping for a girl lol although if it is a boy that means I might be able to eventually talk my SO into a third ;) lol. Nice to actually be able to talk about it since we have some issues with extended family and will be likely keeping it hush from most until we are about halfway or I start to look obvious I suppose whatever comes first! lol I am 24 btw! Nice to meet everyone:)

scratchandsniff · 07/08/2014 20:31

My trousers are definitely snug and by the end of the day I've got a noticeable 'gut'. Just bloat and food baby I think. Also my stomach muscles are shot from ds.

I've not phoned to arrange my booking in appt yet. Got the day off tomorrow so will do it then.

I'm off for a weekend away with 2 girlfriend's tjis weekend. They'll be expecting me to drink. What excuse can I use other than the antibiotics one, which I think they might see through. Typical that it's my first weekend away from DS and DH and I can't enjoy a drink.

cinnamongreyhound · 07/08/2014 20:41

I only took mine Monday evening and they said they'd fax it over, got scan appt today but no contact from midwife minipie.

I just didn't want there to be no space and end up late with my scan evenhasawatermark, wanted it sooner rather than later!

Not yet for me Wherediparkmybroom, I didn't show until about 20 weeks last time but I was 15 1/2st now I'm 10st so expect to show before. Not sure when I started showing with ds1 but well past 12 weeks.

Congratulations mamabear0315!

I don't drink normally so can help on hiding non drinking, that's an easy on for me scratchandsniff!

yorkshirelass82 · 07/08/2014 20:53

Hi all, can't believe how busy the board is getting ? It's so nice not to feel so alone like in RL where we haven't told anyone at all yet, planning to start with the parents this weekend. Not sure how they're going to take the news as I'm getting married towards the end the year (and I've already got my wedding dress sorted - sob- maternity dress shopping will have to happen instead....)

How are ppl managing nausea? I'm really struggling. I haven't been sick yet but the past couple of days have been terrible, felt sick most of the day. Just started a new job (no, this pregnancy wasn't planned to happen now! We stopped trying in Feb and planned to start again after the wedding...)and they must think I'm not very enthusiastic as I'm keeping my head down and refusing every kind offer of making me a drink!

RiverRocks · 07/08/2014 21:31

Yorkshire you can just get your dress altered; a corset back is wonderful thing. I was given conflicting advice when I was looking (should have been 23wks when I got married but lost the baby). Your best bet, especially as you've already got your dress,is to speak to a dressmaker. They'll be able to tell you if they can accommodate a bump into your dress. My friend got married at 6 months in her pre-pregnancy dress, it can be done. There is a price for my advice, though; I will need to see pictures Grin

yorkshirelass82 · 07/08/2014 21:38

If I get that far River you can all see pics gallore!! ??

littleluna89 · 07/08/2014 22:31

yorkshire I got married at 7 months pregnant, we got a corset back dress that was a couple of sizes over and then my final fitting was 8 days before the wedding. Will see if I can dig a pic out when I'm on the mac, but I wasn't particularly big and it was a well shaped dress, a few people (who we apparently forgot to tell) were surprised to find out during the speeches that I was pregnant!

scattaboy · 08/08/2014 06:38

Can I join in? I just got my bfp yesterday,#3 for us. Still hasn't quite sunk in yet.Think baby will be here around April 15th-if anything like DD and DS who were born almost bang on their due dates!

cinnamongreyhound · 08/08/2014 07:31

Ginger is worth a try yorkshirelass82, a friend of mine just constantly nibbled on ginger biscuits when pregnant.

Congratulations scattaboy! Lucky you have two on due dates, mine were both induced and born 14 days over :(

dancestomyowntune · 08/08/2014 08:19

morning all! welcome scattaboy. how is everybody this morning?

cinnamongreyhound · 08/08/2014 08:22

Morning dancestomyowntune, I felt really nauseous this morning but as soon as I got out with the dogs it disappeared, yay!! How about you?

dancestomyowntune · 08/08/2014 08:30

irritable this morning Sad poor dd1 took the brunt of my moodiness and has gone off to summer school probably thinking i am the worst mum ever Sad

other than that, a bit queasy and feels like ny heart is beating ten to the dozen. gonna try and rest for a bit brfore starting anything.

cinnamongreyhound · 08/08/2014 08:33

Oh no :( I've had bursts of the rage, which makes me Feel horrible. Trying to see that it's hormonal moods and keep control of it to some extent! Still really disappointed that my scan seems to long ago and dh was less than helpful when he got in last night!

roastpots · 08/08/2014 08:35

Feeling a bit better this morning. DD slept until 7am rather than her usual 6am so we're all feeling a bit more rested!

RiverRocks · 08/08/2014 08:50

Morning all, I'm still queasy on waking up, and a bit wibbly now, but I think that's due to the chocolate cake I've just eaten. I am more susceptible to cake Fridays in the office now Confused.

I'm sure your DD will have forgotten all about it by the time she gets back later, dances, and will instead be dying to tell you about her day Grin

Welcome scattaboy, and congratulations. It's nice being able to tell people isn't it - I still can't make myself say 'I'm pregnant' IRL Wink

GinRickey · 08/08/2014 08:50

Morning all! Nausea kicked in properly yesterday. No actual puking yet though which is nice. And I accidentally fell asleep on the sofa when DH was cooking dinner.

I am INCREDIBLY bloated as well. Think I'm going to have to give up on clothes with waistbands for the time being - I wore a skirt yesterday and was walking around with the damn thing unzipped after lunch. I know it's all bloat but somehow I managed to wear an outfit that made me look pregnant if I didn't keep yanking the shirt down.

First doctor's appointment on Thursday - the not exciting one where they just say "Pregnant, eh? No drinking no smoking take your vitamins I've referred you to the midwives off you go."

BinarySolo · 08/08/2014 08:57

Hello everyone

I found out on Tuesday that I'm pregnant. My periods had only just started to come back and I thought 'hmmm, normally I on at the beginning of the month' so did a test expecting it to be negative but it wasn't. Jeez, sorry for the uber long sentence and lack of punctuation, I don't normally type like vicky pollard!

This is number 3 for me I have 3.5 year old and 11 month old boys.

Have just moved house so am going to try to see a dr today to get in the system. All 3 of mine will have been born in different counties!

BrixtonBunny · 08/08/2014 09:03

Morning all and welcome & congrats scattaboy!

I felt like I woke up hungover today - queasy, headachey, dizzy and exhausted. Had a big breakfast which has helped a bit though I'm now running late for work as everything took me twice as long to do. Oh and I discovered two sexy new veins on my boobs leading right to & through my nipples... Hmm According to LMP I'm five weeks today, time going so bloody slowly!

I'm also so grumpy, yesterday was trying really hard to hide it and went for lovely picnic dinner with DP, he said "you seem to be feeling better than the last couple of days" which I took to mean "the last couple of days I've been living with a monster" and I promptly burst into tears. Poor man looked very shocked.
