Hi,

I've finally got my BFP and want to find others who want to chat and eat cake whilst being excited about cooking our little dragons.

I am 31yrs old, just got my BFP for #2.

Come in and sit down for the next nerve racking 9 months :)

Yep, tiredness hit me today feeling totally drained! A bit better now but if I'm as tired as last time it'll be tough! At least I have 2 weeks off soon so that should help. Dreading having ms when the kids go back to school, when they mornings are so much more hectic!!!!!

scratchandsniff · 05/08/2014 16:20

Brixton glad all ok. With my first pregnancy I had very severe stomach cramps one morning and thought I was starting to miscarry, was doubled over with the pain. I then had bad diarrhoea. Actually I suffered with upset tummy quite a bit in the early weeks, and lovely trapped wind. Guesd what I'm trying to say is that it's not uncommon but I know it's impossible not to worry.

I am knackered today. Didn't sleep much last night. Everything going round in my brain. Still shocked. Luckily Monday's and Tuesday's are my days off.

Keep wondering if I'll be able to cope with a baby and toddler! I did find the first few months with DS tough. At least I'll know what ti expect this time and know that it doesn't last ifyswim.

Great news mistyand brixton!!

Feeling super tired today but not really as nauseous as I have been, trying to just get on with it and accept that symptoms change, as rationally I know this to be true.

I've just finished work and have a little nap planned so if you hear any snoring that'll be me!!

dancestomyowntune · 05/08/2014 16:49

glad your scan was good Brixton. its a rollercoaster this early pregnancy lark isn't it?

I've been to st Thomas' a few times as ds2 was in the eat study which takes place there and they were all lovely a bit far for antenatal care for me though!

Glad all ok Brixton. It's so worrying. The day after my missed period (before id got the courage to test) I had some evil cramps so I was convinced period was coming. I'm thinking now that it' can be normal to have cramps in our situation. A lot of stuff happening that they don't tell you about including dodgy bowels (tmi alert)!!

BrixtonBunny · 05/08/2014 17:21

Misty I'm sure everything is fine or they would have wanted you back. I'm not particularly reassured that they want to see me next week! Though I guess they will be looking to see an embryo then as right now I'm guessing all they could see was the sac - should have asked but was just relieved it wasn't an ectopic. It's going to be a long week!

It does seem like cramps are very normal so I guess that's reassuring at least.

Cinnamon I'm lucky as Tommy's is quite close to where we live now (and is basically opposite my office!) but I'm a bit worried as we're going to buy a house this year and we're thinking about somewhere like Croydon (as we could actually afford a house rather than a tiny 1 bed flat which is all we could afford in more central london Hmm) so will likely have to change hospitals at some point.

Xx

Hi bluefreckles glad you found us Smile
Cannot believe the amount of hospital drama going on on here at the mo. Relieved it is all sounding positive for every one.
Brixton are you still going to go for a private scan now you are getting another nhs one in 8 days? After saying I wouldn't I have found a private clinic really near me that does them for £120. Tempted!
My.symptom list is growing. Now getting dodgy bowels and indigestion (ate about 5 grapes earlier and got indegstion - how is that even possible?). I don't care though. Makes me feel like I'm pregnant!

evenhasawatermark · 05/08/2014 21:52

Hi all, massive shock of a BFP for me, DP is more excited as it is his first-my second-and I did not enjoy pregnancy last time!
EDD 3rd April, anyone else more gassy than ever before?!

BrixtonBunny · 05/08/2014 21:54

Congrats even! Grin

BrixtonBunny · 05/08/2014 21:56

Lady I'm not sure, it will depend on what they find next week I guess, though maybe not if it all looks ok? Also now I know they will scan if stuff goes wrong I can always go back if something feels like it's not working... Saving me £100 in the process! X

Rustyzilla · 05/08/2014 22:15

Hello ladies

Brixton and Misty glad your scans showed all is well.

Brixton my main symptoms so far have been cramps, bloating and extreme tiredness, maybe a few tiny boob pains but nothing else so far. I am assuming the cramps are stretching pains, they are like mild AF pains? I've had a few that have been sharper though. Would actually welcome a bit of morning sickness to make it feel a bit more real!

CatRen27 · 06/08/2014 05:42

I've come to join the team! Hello ladyflower nice to see you here :)

I have weird cycle lengths (last three cycles varied from 28 to 40 days..?!) so I think on average and if all goes well my due date will be early April.

I'm away with work until next thursday and DH has made GP appointment next Friday so looking forward to making this all "official". I told my mum we were not preventing just over a week ago so I can't wait to tell her after the scan (if I can hold out) that we were already pregnant!

Fingers crossed everyone has a smooth ride and look forward to hearing how we all get on! xx

CatRen27 · 06/08/2014 05:50

Oh and my stats -

I'm 31, No. 1 and EDD is 9 April although haven't been to the GP yet so could change!

x

cinnamongreyhound · 06/08/2014 07:12

Congratulations evenhasawatermark and Catren27! Don't expect too much from your gp Catren27, I was all excited with ds1 and she told me to take folic acid, stop drinking and smoking (which I didn't) and wrote my name on the mid wife's list. I thought they do a proper test but apparently hpt are so good they don't bother.

My tongue is really sore!! No idea if it's pg related but I feel like someone has sandpapered it! Keep dreaming about ds1 loads too, don't know if I'm feeling guilty about having less time for them or if I'm just thinking more about them in general. The dreams gone in a few mins when I wake up but it's definitely all centred around him.

tryinghard2 · 06/08/2014 07:12

congratulations catren :)

im off to the docs this morning after seeing the midwife last week - is it exciting or an anti climax? Grin

CatRen27 · 06/08/2014 07:19

cinnamon oh drats I'm already doing all of those things! I'll bring my DH with me as he has tonnes of questions so hopefully we will get our 'moneys worth' after he's finished..! haha.

My brother in law and his wife have been trying for years, and they're coming to stay next weekend.. pretty sure she will notice straight away when I'm not drinking. Will have to perfect my "got sick while in Indonesia so on antibiotics" story so she doesn't rumble me!

Exciting times x

BrixtonBunny · 06/08/2014 07:20

Congrats catren!

Trying, I'd echo what cinnamon said, I think GP visits vary but mine just said to take folic acid (duh), stop drinking (duh), and avoid raw meat and unpasteurised cheese! The only useful thing she did was sort my booking in appt and scan, so at least I have dates for those in September xx

dancestomyowntune · 06/08/2014 07:42

i spoke to my sis last night and she warned me i am at increased risk of twins because i have got pregnant straight after mirena removal (which apparently can cause hyperovulation). also already got four dcs and she said that increases risk too... anyone heard of these things? ds1 was a twin (i miscarried his twin early on) so it is a possibility i guess. something else to panic worry me!

morning sickness really bad this morning too. anyone got any tried and tested remedies? Sad

Wherediparkmybroom · 06/08/2014 07:48

Hi all, I'm still here, still sick and eating like a pig...I think that's why my clothes are 'snug' I've had a good week so far got myself a pen pal, business is busy arggggh need to arrange some cover for a month next year! May have to delegate and let go of the strangle hold! And am taking my lovley ds 8 for dinner tonight as dh and no 2 are staying at nannys looking forward to the GP on Friday to get it all started!
How is everyone else doing?
