Onwards into the 2nd trimester, where hopefully the bumps will overtake the poo factories!

Stats here.

Argh Vivi - is it looking like he won't be there then? I must've missed that on fb. How utterly crappy for you both Sad Doesn't that count as extenuating circumstances or whatever??

RPopz · 05/08/2014 08:08

Hooray for team boy LMS!! He's definitely in good company here Smile

LM, great news! Must be especially exciting if there are no other boys in the family.

ilovelamp, you always go back... Nice of your friend to offer you stuff.

Madrigals, you are well organised! I am wondering if this baby will make an early appearance in time for Christmas. We were all born early, I wasn't due till February but was born on 21st December. My mom was in hospital on Christmas day, she said I was the best present ever (obviously! Grin) but it was lonely knowing the rest of the family were having a huge party without her. She was allowed a small glass of sherry and Santa came round and gave me a hairbrush (I had no hair). Hopefully this baby is more patient than I was!

MightyQuin1201 · 05/08/2014 08:56

I'm thinking of taking the plunge and joining the FB group... So I ask Jan Babies to be friends and then I get invited to the group? Do I tell Jan Babies my mn name? Is it still okay to join? I have a tendency to post pictures of my cats on my timeline- is that a problem? Thanks! Smile

ViviPru · 05/08/2014 08:59

Quin we're all about the cats and dogs on the FB bus! It's never too late to join.

RPopz it could go either way, the clerk of the court is sympathetic but can't guarantee he will be able to take Friday off. DH seems pretty optimistic though. Will have to sit tight and see!

Camsie30 · 05/08/2014 09:05

MightyQuinn come and join us! Xx

MightyQuin1201 · 05/08/2014 09:07

I've just asked Jan to be my friend and sent a message explaining that I'm MightyQuin... See you all in real life?

MightyQuin1201 · 05/08/2014 09:08

And I'll see you Camsie in real life very soon! Xx

Is everyone adding the sex to the info sheet? It'd be nice to see what the ratio looks like so far.....

Saraswati · 05/08/2014 10:52

morning all!

Right thats it i'm going to join the facebook group! We've now told DH's sister and his friend who is ill so I don't mind being outed on facebook now. I'm going to do a fb announcement next week after my 20 week scan if all is well. I've made a collage picture of my 2 dogs and cat which says 'mummy and daddy are giving us a human for christmas'. I couldn't think of a way of saying it without involving my beloved animals!! I'll try and friend jan babies :)

I'm feeling a bit green around the gills today but it's probably because i'm back at work today! I had another 'i hate being pregnant' meltdown at DH last night then had a bath and listened to my hynobirthing relaxation meditation and feel much better. I think I'm going to get some more relaxation cds to see me through the more hormonal days!

Katniss I'm worried this baby may make an early appearance, my brother (like you) was due at the end of feb but was born on 16th december! I think I was about 3 weeks early too. I'm also hyper mobile which is a risk factor for an early or rapid birth. Maybe it'll just shoot out?! Guess I better get organised for christmas ahead of time just in case the worst happens!

Hi ladies! No ms today... no idea what set me off yesterday (probably just the though of it being Monday!)

One of the staff at Court just gave me a musical cot mobile for the nursery for baby - so lovely of her! It's all feeling very real! One of the Probation Officers also looked at me and said "someone has had a growth spurt" and come to think of it... she's right! Grin

Quin the fb group has loads of cats and dogs on... they are our furry babies after all!

Sara hope you're feeling better soon!

I've got it in my head that baby will be late but watch the little monkey arrive early when I least expect it!

ViviPru · 05/08/2014 11:26

Yay Sara you're joining us at last! It's nice to have the group in tandem with this thread as it's a way to talk in a bit more depth about certain topics without them getting lost in the general updates and news that tend to characterise this thread.

I'm still pregnancy incognito on FB and being in the group hasn't compromised that so no fears on that score!

Cheshire glad to hear the ms has eased today Smile

LadyCottington · 05/08/2014 12:37

I used the photo of DH wearing the baby carrier I posted in the group as our facebook announcement. I was going to wait til 20 weeks but with that cute photo I couldn't help myself Grin

Oh hell, I hadn't even thought of Christmas yet! DH's 30th birthday is the 17th too. I think he's actually a bit upset that I'm going to be huge and pregnant and keeps saying things like 'it's ok if we do nothing' Hmm I was hoping to invite a few friends out for dinner but with it being so close to Christmas, it makes it difficult. I'm sure I'll figure something out (says the most unorganised person ever).

I'm also a bit worried about giving birth early, my Mum gave birth early 3 times and sadly, her first baby didn't survive as she was just too early. Mum also had something called irritable uterus which increases the chance of preterm labour. I'm terrified of having it as well, especially as one day in work a few weeks ago I had to ring the NHS Choices number due to having really bad cramping pain and the Dr told me to go home (even though I couldn't).

My scan is next week on Friday and like you Vivi, my DH might not make it! I don't think he can get time off work. Hell, he can't even get time off to move cities at the end of the month. I may have to do all the moving on my own (with Pickfords)! I'm very pissed at his boss right now.

Speaking of moving, I'm now off to tidy our flat as there is a viewing tomorrow. Why do we have so much crap?! We haven't even bought any baby stuff yet Shock

rumisyum · 05/08/2014 13:21

Saras come join us! What hypnobirthing relaxation CD are you using at the moment?

Glad you're feeling better today Cheshire. I wonder if the cooler temps are helping?

Lady that sucks. How unhelpful is your husband's boss! :(

Oh man, I have a strong feeling this baby will come late. I reckon I'll be huge & still pregnant & peeved with all of you & your adorable new babies come the end of January. ;)

ViviPru · 05/08/2014 13:27

Oh no Lady what a sod Sad . What will you do if he can't make it? Take a friend/relative? That baby carrier picture was great - I bet it caused a stir!

rumisyum · 05/08/2014 13:52

Love this dress. Why does Boden not have a wide maternity range?! This seems so bizarre to me. What's a girl supposed to do for cute, expensive, maternity jumper dresses?

Wow Mad 15 days?! So guessing you were induced? What happened? Was that 15 days from the EDD based on scan measurements? How did his actual birth date compare to the date you first calculated yourself based on LMP/ovulation?

Sorry for 20 questions!

rumisyum · 05/08/2014 16:07

Ooh, have you guys seen this show starting tonight on BBC1 at 9pm? In the Club - drama following 6 pregnant women who meet at parentcraft classes. Hurrah! Smile

I'll be glad for the company, Mad!

Thank you for all the congratulations, I am going to add it to the spread sheet. It just all seem's so much more real now. My daughter really wnated a little sister, bless. I think it is because all my friends have girls aswell. I am sure she will soon get over it.

Lady sorry to hear your partner might not be able to attend, could you try and video record it ??? and ask for the sex to be written down (if you want to know) and than open it together ? I know it's not the same though.

I have started to thnik of names now and thinking Lucas, Micah or Luis ? Made the mistake of telling my sister who gave 'unwanted' opinion's so have told her I am just going to tell her the babys name when I have chosen it Smile

Saraswati · 05/08/2014 16:12

I've sent a friend request to Jan babies, who is in charge of the page? can you accept me please?

rum I'm using the free mp3s i was sent when I signed up for my mindful mamma hynobirthing course, there are some pregnancy cds on amazon I think I might get, I think I'm going to need them!

Although me and DH agreed not to buy anything until after 20 weeks we bought an everton baby grow and teddy in Liverpool at the weekend then I bought another babygrow at lunchtime today, whoops :s May have also ordered a super cool prehistoric animals one online today too John Lewis do these brands called pigeon and Hartley that I have complete fallen for!! Unfortunately John Lewis is about a 1 minute walk from my office :S.

I'm tackling the 'i hate being pregnant' feelings by getting excited about the baby and buying things for it. We've even discussed clearing the nursery this weekend and getting some paint samples. Still won't buy anything big until after my scan next weds though.
