Beth, sorry to hear you are leaving us. I hope you have lots of RL support.

Tesco have their club card boost on until the 8th sept, it includes loads if baby stuff. We are using our vouchers to get a Moses basket, so it's costing us a grand total of zero! Only using it for down stairs naps as we are hoping to get the snuzpod.

Busy mad day, packing and cleaning before or hols on Monday. Hope you all have a good weekend.

ViviPru · 26/07/2014 13:26

Hi Shallan, that book looks good.

Oh mummyk8 what a nightmare after everything you've been through. Can you take it easy today and keep your feet up? Hope you're feeling better soon Thanks

Keepontrudging · 26/07/2014 17:05

Hope your feeling a bit better mummy8?

Beth - so sorry to hear this x

mummyk8 · 26/07/2014 17:40

I don't feel as bad as I did, just feeling like bag of nerves I don't want to be that woman who runs back and forth to the hospital every time I a get a little pain but it's hard and I'm not even sure if I'm even a good judge of if it's little or not anymore now as my back ache is driving me crazy. Sorry to complain. Am just laying in bed right now and am very tempted to order take away for our dinner so I can stay here.

mummyk8 · 26/07/2014 17:41

Ooops sorry pressed post to soon. Wanted to say thank you for all your lovely comments x

cheshirem2b · 26/07/2014 17:45

Hope you're ok mummyk8! Look after yourself!

We went to a national trust garden this afternoon which was nice but just so hot. Come home and dh has done the hoovering while I did the ironing. We're off out to hear a concert tonight (a local choir that dh is in charge of from Sept). Then tomorrow I'm singing the Sunday morning services with a visiting choir and getting paid for it so can't complain!

mummyk8 · 26/07/2014 19:13

Ug excuse all the typos in my last post. Really need to remember not to type on my laptop when crying and laying down.

Talked myself into getting up and making something healthy for dinner. Why isn't there such thing as healthy take away? Any way after getting the vegetables out of fridge that deep heavy pressure feeling/pain came back. Now on the sofa with feet up and about order pizza for me and DS. Mostly feeling fine when I'm not moving around. Going to go to the hospital tomorrow or sooner if anything gets worse.

KateTheHuman · 26/07/2014 19:41

I hope everything is ok mummyk8!!! Crossing my fingers for you.

So sorry about your news beth :(

RPopz · 26/07/2014 19:42

Congrats on looking preggers Cheshire Wink I've had a right mixture this week... Mum: "that bump is massive already, you're going to be HUGE".Hmm Work colleague: "OMG, you're not in showing at all yet!" Work colleague #2: "you just look like you've had a big dinner" Neighbour: "oh I thought you must be pregnant... i saw your bump from across the road!" Isn't it weird how people see you so differently!

For the record, I'm not really showing much apart from at bedtime haha.

Hope you're ok K8 - don't be worried about pestering the hospital!! You've been through a lot. Hope you all enjoy the pizza Smile

Still no sign of my wandering puss Sad

RPopz · 26/07/2014 19:43

Thanks for the heads up re Tesco Blizy ... off to investigate my points situation!! Wink

Camsie30 · 26/07/2014 20:26

Wish you better MummyK.

I had such a great day! There is a gorgeous baby shop near me, so my Mum and I went to look at prams. My first instinct was absolutely right, and I'm now totally in love with the Uppababy Vista in green. Its just brilliant. Mum and Dad have offered to buy it for me which is so lovely. Also in love with the Stokke high chair, totally brilliant. They also showed me the BeSafe car seat - anyone have one/ heard of it? Its meant to be a lot better than the maxi cosi with a 5 point harness...... I'll be starting antenatal pilates there in 2 weeks on a Saturday morning.

Happy Happy Happy!

Ok off to the hospital soon just waiting for my parents to come and get DS. Utterly terrified pain a lot worse but hospital said not to worry. Not to sure how I'm suppose to do that.

Dec2013mummy · 26/07/2014 21:09

mummyk8 sending hugs your way. Best thing to do is go and get checked. Thinking of you.

So so excited as Dh and I have actually decided on a boys name. We never ever agree so this is good news . Ds' name was thought up as he was born, literally :) oooohhhh I kinda want a boy just to use this name now!! I really don't kind either way though.

rumisyum · 26/07/2014 21:11

Oh K8 I hope the hospital visit is extremely reassuring. Thinking of you. Let us know how it goes.

Camsie that sounds like a really lovely day. Smile We haven't really started researching car seats yet, but I've heard of the BeSafe one. I'm delegating that job to DH as cars/gear is "man stuff" (aka I am too lazy).

That's really funny about the differing perspectives on your bump Rpopz. I sent a photo of mine to my mum yesterday - I'll hear what she makes of it when I speak to her tomorrow!

I've been nailed to the sofa with a migraine today. Have only started feeling more human again as it's cooled down this evening, and I had to delay starting my yoga class as a result. Angry I am more than ready for autumn, how I'll survive August I do not know. Hmm

RPopz · 26/07/2014 21:33

Hope all goes well for you Kate. Hopefully the lack of fluid/ bleeding is an excellent sign. Everything crossed. xxx

Rum - don't know if you saw the pic I put on fb a bit ago... bump is not even half as big as that this week!! Mum is known for her tendency to exaggerate though.... Wink

Hope your feeling better, it has been horrendously hot today, doesn't even seem to be cooler tonight.

blizy · 26/07/2014 21:33

k8 I really hope everything is ok! thinking of you.

RPopz · 26/07/2014 21:34

Still never seen an uppababy I don't think! Who stocks them?

Camsie30 · 26/07/2014 22:24

Rpopz The Vista is absolutely lovely. HUGE basket, really light frame thats easy to fold, gorgeous carrycot, 2 way seat for 6 months +. Lots of clever features and choice of colours.

John Lewis stock it among others, here it is in red:

Also is a Which best buy, which is all I need!

KatnissEvermean · 26/07/2014 22:25

mummyk8 I hope everything is okay at the hospital and that the pain subsides.

I haven't had any bump comments yet! I thought I would be happy not to but I just want someone to mention it!

Home. Not dreadfully reassuring hospital visit I'm afraid. In fact left feeling worse. Sorry I always seem to post self pitying , depressing updates here. They had to do an internal examination. As we all know never comfortable but just after a cervical suture 4 days ago trust me it's excruciating. Two Dr's had to examine me... leaving me bleeding so much i soaked through two pads in 5 mins and left a mark on every waiting room chair I sat on. Apparently that's normal after an internal examination. Never known that before. Any how am to expect the bleeding to get worse over night and in the morning. Oh joy! The positive thing is they said the stitch is holding well. They think the pain I'm feeling is from a urine infection - again doesn't feel like any urine infection I have ever had before. They don't want to give me anything for it until the the labs do test so have wait until Monday. Not sure how clear the results from labs will be as I'm already on antibiotics! They wouldn't listen to the heartbeat or scan me as they said it was unnecessary as I will be scanned at 20 weeks thats not for 3 weeks!!! Only advice was not to do anything for the next couple of weeks.

Pesto11 · 27/07/2014 03:27

Oh my goodness sounds horrendous!
Don't know what to say really, but thinking of you and hoping you and your dh get through this ok. X

Shallan · 27/07/2014 07:28

Oh dear mummyk8, sorry to hear about your hospital experience, sounds terrible.

Can you try calling your midwife? They may be more sympathetic to the fact you need some reassurance before the 20week scan. Alternatively, you can get private scans for about £100 - May be worth it just to check?

j200 · 27/07/2014 07:48

Oh mummyk massive hugs, sounds awfulHmm

Babybond do quick private scans for £39 just check if there's a clinic near you (and "estimate" your due date so you can get a cheap one)
Everything crossed for you xx

Loobyloo893 · 27/07/2014 08:18

Oh mummyk. How horrible. I agree with phoning your midwife, they will hopefully be more understanding.
