Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 10th grads thread...celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed Grin

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

There is a stats thread here but its a zombie thread so enter at your own risk....... eeeeek

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 26th outing!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal here once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a secret facebook group, if you want to join, Pm me!

So, roll call below please, viroids! Smile

Thanks will have a proper look when I'm not in a grump! In fairness, MrWil was invited but has to work and I feel I can't not go because have known the groom for forever. Maybe fake tan would work so I can add oompaloompa to my list of physical flaws.

Enjoy ordering your pram! I have been offered a lend of one for 6 months which works out perfectly.

JuniDD · 15/08/2014 21:38

I've found you one, wil. Tenner!

ZylaB · 15/08/2014 22:12

Been having stomach pains, low down, quite sharp sometimes. Not been happening for long... 45 mins, but am worried. DH just said, it'll be alright. Yeh, thanks for the support! He didn't ask if I needed anything doing, how bad it was, if we needed to go anywhere. So now I just want to cry as well :(

JuniDD · 15/08/2014 22:24

oh poor zyla. That's pretty standard for my DP, tbh! Are you lying down? It's probably stretching, it can be really painful and go on for ages. Try lying down and having a nice drink. TMI, sometimes having a poo helps if you can manage it. xx

ZylaB · 15/08/2014 22:25

Thanks juni I'll try as much of that as I can manage.

ZylaB · 15/08/2014 22:25

You may have just saved me a meltdown xx

cookielove · 15/08/2014 22:31

I'm here. I'll try and update tomorrow as I really need to zzzzzzzz

RPopz · 15/08/2014 22:46

Have you had plenty to drink Zyla? I used to get cramping when I was dehydrated. Or very tired. Juni is right tho it's probably just stretching which is surprisingly painful! Take yourself to bed xxx

wilmabedrock · 15/08/2014 22:52

Hi cookie!

Hope you're ok zyla. If it makes you feel better I am having similar pains tonight. I have a pretty dodgy tummy though so putting it down to that. You do get lots of random pains during pg. Thanks Btw that is MrWil's stock answer to everything too.

Thanks juni, have you ordered from them before, is the quality ok? (it's a posh wedding Grin ).

JuniDD · 15/08/2014 22:57

cookie! Looking forward to hearing from you.

zyla, rpopz is totally right, have a big water. Amazing how quickly I forgot that!

wil, I have the blue & white one with red sash which has apparently been on This Morning, get me. Quality is fine, just plain jersey cotton. You can glam it up with some chunky jewellery? Check Mamas & Papas too as they often have sales on. I got a navy dress from there for a wedding.

Off to bed for me, I didn't have restless legs last night so hope tonight is as good. Fingers crossed though my shoulder still hurts. Sad. xx

ZylaB · 16/08/2014 05:22

Thank you all so much, lovely viroids. I probably was dehydrated and stretching!

Nice to see you cookie looking forward to update :)

RPopz · 16/08/2014 08:36

Glad you're feeling better this morning Zyla. I had so many crazy aches and pains in the first trim... I had to make it a rule that I wasn't going to panic unless it was totally debilitating or there was blood - as most of it is perfectly good and normal I gather Wink

Looking forward to your update Cookie Smile xx

ZylaB · 16/08/2014 09:51

Another good rule I think rpopz

:)

ZylaB · 16/08/2014 09:52

Still not DH's friend today though, cos of his reaction last night!

cookielove · 16/08/2014 11:51

Ok

Elijah was born at 11.30pm on the 13th September, he is in the neonatal nursery as we are teaching him how to breastfeed! He weighed in at 5lb 9oz's and is seriously cute!

I went into hospital via ambulance on Sunday with extreme back pain, I never felt pain like it before. The ambulance men were un impressed and told me I could of got a taxi! Hmm

Once at hospital I was eventually diagnosed with a severe uti which I had been given the wrong anti b's for on wed, I was eventually given codine and allowed home. On Monday the codine had stopped working at 11am ish and around 12 ish I went to the loo and wiped a hell alot of mucus plug, I called triage and they said to come in and get checked.

I had to wait for a lift but got to triage at around 2-3pm, they assessed me and said I was fine, it felt like contractions but the monitor wasn't picking them up (hurt like hell) when she checked to see if my waters were intact I was already dialated 1-2 cms. It became quite apparent I was in early labour, i was moved to a delivery room which suddenly became very busy and
A drip waa started to stop the contractions, I was given a steroid injection, which has a nasty sting! And basically I waa monitored for 48 hrs, I could only lie on my back as they lost his trace on my side, so I was on my back on a uncomfortable bed for 4 nights and days!

On Wednesday morning they removed the drip, I was free, i was given 2nd steroid injection but by then though I had become quite constipated (tmi) so was given fibrogel and had also been struggling to wee for ages, they told me to keep drinking. I managed breakfast and sneaky sausage and egg mcmuffin at 10ish then I really started contracting, at 11.30 ish I managed to get a scan on my bladder and kidneys, baby was on my right kidney.

No clue on time but eventually they checked me and I was 4cms dialated, they put in a cathether which filled up almost instantly and offered me an epirdural. Which I gladly took. Luckily I didn't contract at all during epidural insertion.

After 4hrs they checked me again, i was still 4cms so they decided to break my waters, which went with a pop, I was contracting all this time but they were unsure as the toco wasn't picking it up, they didn't check me for a while and decided as I wasn't progressing to give me a c-section, they quickly decided to examine me and I was fully dialated so they let me push, they finally changed the toco so they could see I had been contracting all along and then they got me ready to push, I pushed for 5-6 contractions and then they put on the focrceps and he was out. They seemed quite shocked as was I. He waa breathing well so I got a good cuddle, but then they took him away to be assessed I was then stitched up!

Bless you, glad you're both ok and it's a beautiful name!

Xxx

ZylaB · 16/08/2014 12:08

In much much less exciting news, I'm having a bath then going to trounce DH at crazy golf! Hehe

wilmabedrock · 16/08/2014 12:34

Haha zyla, harness that anger!

Wow cookie you must be so tired! I'm glad all is ok, love the name and what a good weight for your dates! Good luck with the breastfeeding. If they're in neonatal can you stay with them all the time?

Minion · 16/08/2014 12:35

cookie so amazing! It sounds exciting but bloody eventful.
Thank you for sharing, hope you are now getting lots of snuggles and settling down together as a family.
How's the OH Taking it all? She'll shocked that it was so quick?

I've just been on a mini spree in boots. I did something at work a fair few months ago which earned me a reward so chose to get them I'm boots vouchers. £45 in all. So that's bought us a steriliser, bottles and all we had to pay was £3.89 or so. Bargain! Plus we got a lost a tenner in points so that'll go towards the baby monster when we start buying the Chrimbo 2 for 3s etc.

Gotta love a bargain girls eh!

HungryHorace · 16/08/2014 13:31

That's an epic, amazing, birth story Cookie. And he's such a good size for his gestation. :-) Gorgeous name too. Well done you. Xx

Hope you're feeling ok now, Zyla. I agree that the stretching pains can be worrying.

We seem to be moving across to one nap for DD, which should hopefully make doing stuff with her a bit easier. Difficult to get out and about with a 2 hour morning nap and 1+ hour afternoon nap. See how it goes though!

There's quite often ASOS discount codes online, Wil, if you find something you like.

I'm tired today. Having a newborn is quite exhausting!

cookielove · 16/08/2014 14:15

He is in the neonatal nursery, so I could in theory be there with him for 24hrs a day, however I am really tired so the I've done a mixture of 9.00-7.00pm with him and 11.00 - 7.45pm.

Can't drive, my mum has been a saint and driven us in and out! Dh is staying at home tomorrow to sort out the flat as, you can imagine we weren't prepared for his arrival and they said we may get him out in 7 to 10 days!

Just working on his sucking, and getting my milk supply up!

Aww, great story Cookie! Sounds like it went as well as it could've! Smile
Lovely name, and quite a strapping lad for one so early! Good luck with getting the BFing going.

How rotten for you Zyla, it's amazing how painful stuff stretching can be! Confused I agree with Wil though (I think it was Wil!) if there's no blood, try not too panic - it seems pain is all too normal when you're upduffed! Hmm

wilmabedrock · 16/08/2014 15:56

Think it was popz actually but I also tend to go by the same rule.

Oops told MrWil I was going to lie down for half an hour and then fell asleep for an hour and three quarters. Blush . Have the sledgehammer feeling.

JuniDD · 16/08/2014 17:06

Congrats cookie and welcome Elijah. What a process for you and so glad all is mostly ok. Sending sucky vibes to baby E, hope you can bring him home soon. Smile.

I also got a bargain today minion! Went to a friend's pub for lunch and there was a jumble sale of baby stuff. We bought one thing - a lovely Baby Gap snowsuit in navy for £14 instead of £25. I love it!

Get the sleep wil! Unless you're like me and will lie awake half the night...

Can I ask a question - lots of lists say you should get a breast pump and I'm not sure why?

ZylaB · 16/08/2014 17:15

I didn't make it to crazy golf, fell asleep instead lol. Think we'll go tomorrow instead, we're off to some friends tonight so hopefully the nap will mean I can stay awake for tonight hehe.

cookie lovely to hear from you and so pleased everything's good. He sounds adorable!

We need to decide about a pump too, I def want to bf but after a few weeks I want to be able to pump some and let DH have a night where he gets up (that's the cunning plan!) and I sleep, I dunno if you can do that??
