cookielove · 13/07/2014 19:23

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 10th grads thread...celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed Grin

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

There is a stats thread here but its a zombie thread so enter at your own risk....... eeeeek

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 26th outing!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal here once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a secret facebook group, if you want to join, Pm me!

So, roll call below please, viroids! Smile

Sorry about the sofa Cookie.Sad Is Ikea your only option? I had an Ikea sofa and it fell apart after 2 years!! Cheap and cheerful x

RPopz · 30/07/2014 18:18

Gah triple post sorry... was it you that was doing Lazy Daisy Juni What did you think of it?

wilmabedrock · 30/07/2014 19:41

I'm thinking of signing up popz as the yoga woman never replied to my email and I can't find another class that fits around work. Not that that's helpful to you...

RPopz · 30/07/2014 20:19

Well I emailed a yoga person and the lazy daisy person and yoga hasn't replied but lazy daisy has lol! Plus its further away so LD would be better I guess.

JuniDD · 30/07/2014 20:47

hi, yeah, I'm doing Lazy Daisy. I think I posted a review upthread or at the end of the last one.

I'm pondering doing another set of classes. The techniques etc are really good and the teacher tries really hard to make it nice. I just don't much like the "mean girls" vibe from some of the other women. That may be the pregnancy hormones of course.

Baby is breech AGAIN. Getting a massive gym ball tomorrow and will spend every spare minute leaning over it. Hurts!

wilmabedrock · 30/07/2014 20:54

oh no juni what a shame. How many weeks are you now?

JuniDD · 30/07/2014 22:42

It is a bit, no new "mummy friends" for me as yet! I'm 28 weeks.

I live between the places that she does the two classes. This one is in a village outside the city which I thought would be less stressful for parking etc. I might give the city class a go next. The people might be a bit more "like me" and as I'm finishing work soon there should be less stress with getting there & parking etc.

We're doing NCT too but not til about two weeks before my due date which seems to be cutting it rather fine.

Midwife tomorrow and already stressing that they're going to try to take blood from the "wrong" place and it'll all be a nightmare. Ugh. Hopefully I'll cheer up by tomorrow!

Nessalina · 31/07/2014 05:26

Can't sleep Confused In a foul mood after work situation has got even worse - cow bag who wants to make the branch revolve around her has now made an informal complaint, so I've got my line manager coming over to interview everyone. Like I don't feel shit enough. Fed up of bending over backwards to help people that just stab you in the back in the end Sad

Really sorry to hear your Dad's not good Min. Definitely go for venting here, we're here for you xx

Rpopz - your MIL is a muppet, but she's very entertaining at a distance I wonder how long she can keep this self righteous crap up?! Keep ignoring Grin

Cookie - Arg what a pain!!! I'd have had a massive tantrum myself. We just got an ikea sofa and it's very nice, and comes in easy enough to put together chunks.

Juni - how can you tell baby is breech out of interest? I'm 26 weeks and I still have no idea what he's doing in there other than whacking me a lot! We start NCT in Sept, but last class is only a week before I'm due, so I'm a bit worried I'll miss it, lol.

I think I glowed for about 10minutes in week 18 Hmm Mostly now sweaty and frizzy. I may be doing most of my glowing at night by accident as I keep waking up every hour fricking roasting!!!

JuniDD · 31/07/2014 07:40

hey ness, sorry about the work situation. Sad I hope the manager can sort it out and will be on your side. Maybe a tactical pregnancy cry would do the trick? Wink. Idiotic colleagues are just the worst.

Think I forgot to send best wishes to poorly papas earlier Thanks.

Got midwife shortly so will ask but I pretty much always get kicked very low down, on my cervix/bladder, only in other places when I've spent some time turning the baby so I'm assuming that its breech when it kicks me so low.

wilmabedrock · 31/07/2014 07:49

Oh Nessa this is not what you need right now. Hope it is resolved quickly and that the silly cow gets the boot. Think you can probably tell if baby is breech from where you get kicked but midwife will let you know when she examines you anyway. I had a back to back one last time and wouldn't have known if I hadn't been told.

Feel a bit blue today for no good reason. Sigh.

Go for the city class Juni, less chance of people being friends already I would think.

Can anyone who is on number 2 or more share wisdom about double buggies?

cookielove · 31/07/2014 09:17

ness how infuriating and stressful for you!

rpopz ikea isn't our only option, but we haven't got alot of time and we have never had any issues with ikea stuff we have lots of things from there.

ness which sofa have you got!

Sorry I am sofa obsessed!

We're a stressed out bunch of viroids Sad I'm symptomless again and while I don't miss how I felt earlier in the week, it does bother me. I'm wondering how to broach the possibility of paying for an early scan with DP, just to check all is ok in there.

Sorry Wil although DS would love being pushed around in a double buggy, he's definitely too old. My brother's children were close together and they had a side by side buggy. They didn't have a car at the time but they didn't have any problems with getting around on buses etc with it. It was a long time ago though so I can't remember brand etc.

ChatEnOeuf · 31/07/2014 10:27

Oh Ness what unnecessary stress for you, hope your boss sorts her it out.

I'm joining the stressy crew - bit more bleeding overnight and dull aching today. A crystal ball is about the only thing that will reassure me I reckon.

No idea about buggies, DD is going to have to walk!

FurryScoob · 31/07/2014 10:56

Congrats on the twins chat hope it's just them burrowing in that's causing you pain

ness just keep counting down the days till you leave, I've spent weeks doing this just to get through each day at work and dreaming about winning the lottery & never having to go back

I'm sat in hospital having GTT test, I feel a bit wierd but baby seems to have enjoyed the sugar rush!

JuniDD · 31/07/2014 13:22

Hope you're ok chat and that your day hasn't been too stressful ness.

Can I just have a little squee as I can't do it anywhere else?
Midwife this morning, all ok, heard heartbeat again and measuring one week ahead but no one seems bothered so far. Plus they took me to the treatment room for the blood draw which took 30s and then two minutes for the practice nurse to slag off the hospital nurses for sticking me four times before and tell the trainee midwife how to use a butterfly.

THEN, we went to two Mothercares, Babys R Us and Ikea and got loads of stuff and MrJuni appears to be excited and we have a baby gym with a cat on it. Yay!

Squeeage over. Knackered now!

They had double buggies in Mothercare wil but I can't help much there...could mini-wil use a buggie board to save you buying a new one?

Sorry about the sofa stress cookie, there never seem to be that many nice ones in the shops! We're having to get rid of our "spare" one atm which feels a bit sad as we had it when we first moved in together.

JuniDD · 31/07/2014 13:37

Ooh, bednest rental is on offer today - £99 - but ends today!

Pisghetti · 31/07/2014 15:03

DP, as expected, wants to wait for a bit before we look at private scans. Little does he know I have already assessed all of the options in the area and have picked my favourite..... Blush

My pregnancy app today suggested I buy some new knickers so they 'don't rub my sensitive belly button'. Firstly - who on earth has a sensitive belly button? Secondly - who actually wears pants that reach their belly button? Confused

wilmabedrock · 31/07/2014 15:09

Yeah I am thinking of buggy board but she'll only be 2 1/2 and if we go anywhere which involves being out for more than a few hours I doubt she'd manage. She'll probably still want a sleep at that age. Think I'll get something second hand tbh.

cookielove · 31/07/2014 15:46

wil my sister's little boy was just under 2 when baby bro was born she got a push chair that had a seat between the handles! I'll see if I can find the make!

pisg how far along are you? We had a early scan at 7+3 I think. Looking back now I wish I had waited till after 8 weeks but that is only because I had a mmc and the baby died at 8 weeks so it would have reassured me more. However all was fine and I highly recommend them. Also my belly button hurts but I think that is stretching now at 32+3. Never worn pants that high either!

juni yay for hb! I am measuring ahead too! At max I was measuring 6 weeks ahead Shock I've steadied out a bit, now only a couple weeks ahead! Some of the midwives care, some not so much. Yay for the baby gym!

ness how was work today?

OP posts:
Pisghetti · 31/07/2014 15:54

I'm 7+2 so more like 8 weeks by the time I sort anything out!

Pisghetti · 31/07/2014 15:59

I have a bizarrely deep belly button. It remained an innie even at two weeks overdue. My naval piercing on the other hand didn't last five months before flipping and giving me a lovely scar Blush Now that wouldn't have liked a knicker rubbing...

JuniDD · 31/07/2014 16:54

My belly button is getting shallower...we'll see how that goes. I had my early scan at 9 weeks but that was NHS.

How was the GTT furry? Hope you're feeling ok now and things are generally ok for you. You've had a rough couple of weeks.

I was a bit worried about measuring ahead but the midwife was like "meh" so I'm happy with that. I'm quite a short person so can imagine it all sticking out a bit more. I was more worried that apparently the baby was "very curled up" but maybe that's down to smallness too.

Have a pic of a baby gym with a cat on it. And a cat. On it.

Just Shagging Grads Thread 10 - Roll Up, Roll Up all you graduated Viroids!!!
cookielove · 31/07/2014 17:16

juni I was confused there whether theb it was a toy cat or real cat, I now see both Grin

My belly button was really deep not so much now but I don't think it will pop by the end of the pregnancy, fx it won't as it makes me feel sick Confused

Dh hated my belly bar, so I removed it a few years ago when my favourite bar lost it's thread!

OP posts:
RPopz · 31/07/2014 17:21

It's been on offer all of July Juni ... I have stupidly left it til last minute to order!! Wink

JuniDD · 31/07/2014 17:29

I didn't realise rpopz but as we're on a shopathon today, I'd better find my wallet... Wink
