Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 10th grads thread...celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed Grin

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

There is a stats thread here but its a zombie thread so enter at your own risk....... eeeeek

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 26th outing!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal here once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a secret facebook group, if you want to join, Pm me!

So, roll call below please, viroids! Smile

Hehe Smile

ZylaB · 31/07/2014 18:12

You've all had a busy day!

Just called in at the gps to get results of the second lot of thyroid tests and he says it's all within normal levels, so yay, I'm not more broken than we already knew about. While I was there I asked about my fertility tests we had in May, just..you know..for reference, they were all ok too but he couldn't tell me DH's he'll have to ring. :)

FurryScoob · 31/07/2014 18:20

Feeling fine now after GTT, I just look like a junkie after the amount of attempts it took to get the blood out!

Great baby gym juni & a very comfy looking cat!

wil someone near us has a mini city baby jogger double, we're getting the single but eBay has been full of the double ones when I've been looking & they looking like they fold up small for a double buggy.

RPopz · 31/07/2014 20:26

Hehe, I came on the laptop just to look at your kitty pic Juni - I was not disappointed Grin

Ok... I need some hooyas ladies. What are the actual chances of getting to the 20 week scan and discovering there is NO BABY IN THERE!?

I was so bloody paranoid about something going wrong before the 12 week scan... and even for a couple of weeks after as more and more people started to find out. I actually screamed in DH's face for daring to mention baby names at about 10 weeks... Hmm But recently I've chilled out loads and now we've bought a pram and now I'm thinking about ordering the bednest tonight to get the special offer and suddenly I am aware of these people who refuse to buy a thing until the 20 week scan and OMG am I totally jinxing myself?????

RPopz · 31/07/2014 20:33

Wil someone on the Due in Jan freds has just bought a Britax B Agile double buggy for her two tiddlers x

ZylaB · 31/07/2014 20:34

No you're not, you know there's a baby in there. Jinxing is an old wives thing, or something people say cos they want to worry you or interfere. If you want to order stuff do it! You're past the most scary part now :)

Look at it this way, we want to kiddicare last night, they had the prams we're in move with, for £100 off, if they'd had more than the display models, I'd have got one, and I'm only 8 weeks! Though apparently they get deliveries every day of random stuff, so I'm going to have to keep checking! We did get car seat isofix base thing, saved over £40 so of course we got it!

Hugs

ZylaB · 31/07/2014 20:35

Sorry for typos! Cats in my way but too cute to love :)

Nessalina · 31/07/2014 21:01

Thanks viroids, work was ok, mainly coz cow bag wasn't in - dreading tomorrow though! My manager is one of those who's very supportive to your face, but tends to tell everyone what they want to hear, so I don't quite trust him... I think he'll be bitching about her to me, and bitching about me to her! Hmm Definitely will be playing the vulnerable pregnant woman. It really sucks when she knows what a hard year I've had, and I've only got 8 weeks to go - I think she thinks I'll just roll over, but I bloody well won't!!! 33 working days and counting!

That make sense re: breechness! Smile I mostly get kicked in the middle and down low, but he moves a lot so don't think he's settled on any particular position. Contrary!

Cookie, we have two Ektorp 2-seaters, and matching footstool. All in slate grey! I'm really pleased with them - me & DH have one each! Grin It was about £900 for the lot which we thought was pretty good, and I like that the covers are washable Smile

Sorry you're having stressful times Pis & Chat Sad The early days are so hard! It's all crotch-watch and panicking about disappearing symptoms! If you can get a cheapy private scan, just go for it, much better than worrying!

Fuck Juni thank you SO MUCH for the bed nest reminder!!! We'd planned to do it then totally forgotten!!!

ZylaB · 31/07/2014 21:10

After working today and managing to eat the grand total of two party (read tiny) sausage rolls, about one slice of carrot and the top layer of a dumpling for the while day, I'm off to bed!

God I'm so exciting at the moment hehe.

Night ladies

Nessalina · 31/07/2014 21:16

Bed best ordered!! Official first baby hardware purchase Grin £99 is a bargain I reckon.

Rpopz - BREATHE! There is definitely a baby in there! You can tell coz your bump is getting bigger Grin
Totally understand the paranoia mind you - it gets so much easier once they're more regularly squirming about!

RPopz · 31/07/2014 21:31

Haha that website must be getting some hammering tonight... I just ordered ours too hehe Grin

RPopz · 31/07/2014 21:32

Oh Zyla I certainly don't miss the random morning sickness diet haha!! It's not for much longer... Sleep well xx

JuniDD · 31/07/2014 21:36

I nearly managed to forget the bednest so just ordered mine after all of that. Duh!

We now have the carseat, bouncy chair and baby gym. Will order the pram now we've had a go on the Pioneer too. Hurrah! So funny, we went to Mothercare #2 and had a go on a Pioneer and a Wayfarer, taking them apart, collapsing them and no one came to offer us a hand or anything. Especially funny when we couldn't get them back up...Hmm Wink

Glad the cowbag wasn't in ness. I have a manager like that, it's a nightmare as you just feel there's no point saying anything!

Poor zyla, the not eating thing in the first tri is so bloody crap, must be hard with the diabetes too.

Glad the kitty pic was worth it popz! Also, you definitely have a baby in there!

cookielove · 31/07/2014 21:50

wil the make is the joovy sit and stand but ahe doesn't think it is available in the UK, she's in Canada! She says if she could pick it again she would go for the city stroller.

wilmabedrock · 31/07/2014 22:49

Thank you for all advice re pushchairs. Will maybe go and have a play around in a shop and then check ebay.

popz I am one of those people who waits before buying anything but it's just in my nature to be cautious, I'm not much of a shopper. There is definitely a baby in there though so don't worry. Saying that, I am not relaxing before 20 week scan Grin .

ChatEnOeuf · 01/08/2014 11:37

I never relaxed or bought anything before the 20-week scan - too much of a superstitious fool. I didn't have a bump until 28/40 though, so part was self-consciousness in the baby stores! That, and it's called the anomaly scan for a reason; it's not just an opportunity to see the baby but a chance to check for major problems. (I work in neonates and see too much trouble from babies to ever fully trust them!) Smile

wilmabedrock · 01/08/2014 12:24

Yeah I definitely don't think it's 'superstitious', not sure why people use that term. I also think it depends on past experiences. If you work in the field or have had, or know someone who had, a problematic pregnancy, you're probably more likely to wait.

Pisghetti · 01/08/2014 12:45

Hooya Popz !

I'll probably wait until the New Year to buy things as I'm missing out on all the sales right now and I love a bargain Smile

DP has put his foot down on the private scan idea [sulk sulk]. We're not poor but we do have a lot of pressure on our finances with the recent house purchase, running two households and some other commitments, not to mention the drop in my income next year when I go on mat leave, so he thinks it is a waste of money when what will be, will be. He's being infuriatingly rational. I'm well aware the sonographer doesn't perform some fancy magic on the baby with the wand before plucking a rabbit from my fanjo. I'm after reassurance that all is well; if not, then at least I know.

Anyways.... I threw up the squash which is the only thing I've consumed today just to support his point of view. I have the MW next week and then two weeks holiday so I will at least be distracted for a while. We have a wedding on the BH holiday which is a whole weekend affair with all my family. I googled 'excuses for not drinking' last night which produced UTI - genius! Explains not wanting to drink, frequent loo trips and even wanting to leave early if the bone crushing tiredness continues. Lots of the results were along the lines of 'just don't drink' but I'm rarely seen at any social event without a glass of wine in hand so that's not really practical.

HungryHorace · 01/08/2014 12:46

Wil, we have an Oyster Max which we will get rid of when DS is about 6 months' old and get a Maclaren Twin Triumph as that folds right down. Double prams are beasts for the newborn stage!

And we bought stuff before 20 weeks. Daft not to in the sales. We can't get to Kiddicare, sadly. Bit too much with a new baby and a 40 minute journey.

I don't envy any of you the early, knicker-watching, stage of pregnancy. We had a private scan with DD at 8 weeks, but not with DS as I was symptom-less and paranoid! I didn't want to pay for bad news, IYSWIM?

Hope everyone is ok. :-)

Nice bednest surge last night ladies! DS is just getting used to his. He settles in it for DH but not so much for buffet bar boobs me! :-/

RPopz · 01/08/2014 18:07

Haha... mummy moo cow Wink How's little Seth doing?

Hope everyone's feeling better today... we were a stressy sticky bunch yesterday! Brew and cakes!!

RPopz · 01/08/2014 18:08

*sicky!!

Some of us may have been sticky also i guess.... Hmm

ChatEnOeuf · 01/08/2014 18:53

I'll be leaving you lovely ladies, my little beans are sadly no longer with us. Had some almighty pain and bit of bleeding. Scanned and there's no HBs. Having surgery on Sunday. Very best of luck to you all, I'm going to pour myself a very large glass of Wine and hope to be back with you soon.

HungryHorace · 01/08/2014 19:06

Oh no. I'm so sorry, Chat. I hope you've got plenty of real life support and you're back here very soon. Xx

RPopz, he's doing well, thank you. Such a funny little baby. Can't get used to changing a boy though and he keeps weeing everywhere. Including on his face earlier. Fail.

DrFunkesFamilyBandSolution · 01/08/2014 19:22

So very sorry for your loss Chat. Hope the next few days are as physically pain free as possible.
The ttc after mc group is very supportive here, here if you need anything. xx

ZylaB · 01/08/2014 19:52

Oh chat I'm so so sorry

Lots of love and hugs x
